Proof That A Rainy Day Can Be The Best Thing To Happen To Your Wedding

Of all the wedding wisdom we’ve heard, “rain on your wedding day means good luck” might be our favorite! Just one look at this stormy California wedding, beautifully shot by Carlie Statsky, and you’ll know why. From a bridal party laughing under umbrellas to guests comfortably dining under a clear tent while watching the rain romantically fall, we think more brides should hope for a downpour on their special day! Head to the full gallery and prepare to be swept away.

From the bride… Carmel was always our special place throughout our relationship and even where we got engaged. There was no question when we selected Carmel Valley to host our special day that Gardener Ranch was the perfect location. A private venue to allow us to get away from the outside world and spend time with those close to us.

Our vision was for an outdoor wedding that gave you a sort of garden, whimsical feel. We wanted it to be romantic yet playful and full of love. What was supposed to be an outdoor ceremony, due to rain, turned in to the most beautiful garden-like setting indoors.

A clear tent was brought in for dinner which was incredible as you could see the rain coming down which made you feel like you were out in the rain yet still covered. Leading up to the wedding there was nothing but rain on the forecast which turned out to make for a day we would never forget and a wedding even more special than we could have imagined.

This Travel Blogger’s Positano Wedding Is Prettier Than A Postcard

We bow down to travel bloggers’ supreme takes on traveling in style, so when Christine of Tour de Lust put together a destination wedding we knew it was going to be one for the books! Positano set the scene for this special day filled with awe-inspiring touches, like a sunset oceanview ceremony and a custom vintage fiat overflowing with flowers. Rossini Photography beautifully captured all the special moments, head over to the full gallery for endless destination wedding inspiration.

From the bride… Ryan and I fell in love with Italy when we first visited for our first international trip together. We kept finding our way back and fell in love with Amalfi Coast.

I envisioned having a classic and romantic setting with neutral and blush tones. Most of the vendors we selected were either from my research on Instagram or referrals from my wedding planner, Emma Events.

My advice for future brides on planning a destination wedding is to hire a wedding planner, trust them and don’t overthink everything that has to be perfect. Everything will absolutely come together, be happy and just have fun because you will remember these happy moments forever.

This Might Just Be Your Dream Vineyard Wedding Venue in Sunny California!

If you haven’t already heard of Hammersky Vineyards, you’re about to be SO glad you’re here. Picture a dreamy, insta-worthy farmhouse nestled in 50 acres of picturesque rolling vineyards. It’s truly one of our favorite wedding venues in the entire country! And we have a feeling after seeing today’s gorgeous wedding at Hammersky, you’re going to fall in love too. Amanda Marie & Co made the couple’s modern, clean and refined wedding day a reality – filled with baby’s breath bouquets from Idlewild Floral and olive branches adorning every corner. The full gallery is guaranteed to brighten your day, all captured by the so very talented Rachel Solomon Photography!

From the planner, Amanda Marie & Co…. This wedding will go down in the books as one of my absolute favorites. Working with the couple felt effortless from beginning to end. They knew precisely what their tastes were – modern, clean, & uncomplicated – which made designing their wedding such an enjoyable experience.

I created a cohesive design that was clean, uncomplicated, and most importantly, centered around their treasured guests, who flew in from Australia and England to share the day.

Our bride Molly, being originally from the Central Coast, met Tom, an accomplished Australian skier, while living abroad in England. They hit it off right from the start, and when you are with them, you can see why. They compliment one another, so well!

The couple loved the un-fussy vineyard vibe of Molly’s home area (the central coast of California) and the refined vineyard setting of Hammersky Vineyards, In Paso Robles, CA. This was their ideal backdrop. The day was filled with meaningful elements. Their ceremony, nestled under an oak tree, was complimented with baskets of varying textures filled with olive branches and baby’s breath floral.

The cocktail hour took place inside the barn, where modern lounge pieces and succulent oysters appetizers greeted their guests. The reception was on the expansive lawn under cafe lights; accented with dark wood farm tables. For a fresh take on the traditional, eucalyptus garlands were used for uncomplicated centerpieces, with white and grey paper elements and clean modern place settings.

These gracious hosts treated their guests to a true California style experience – Organic cocktails, a fresh oyster bar (from the ocean waters off the central California coast) and Hammersky Vineyards Cabernet marinated ribeye steak (all prepared by Trumpet Vine Catering) made for the perfect evening.

A Trio Of Garden-Inspired Ceremony Arches Wows At This Toronto Wedding

Get ready to be inspired, because this wedding at The Omni King Edward Hotel is class all the way! When these newlyweds began dreaming up their special day, they knew they wanted it to exude sophistication. The result was a lavish affair in a crisp green and white color palette, where the couple said their vows in front of a trio of garden-inspired arches that will leave you speechless! The timeless images were artfully shot by Corina V. Photography, head over to the full gallery to get lost in all the elegance!

From the bride… Both Justin and I had wanted a very traditional and elegant wedding, which was an important theme throughout the decision-making. From the crown molding that was restored from the 1920’s to the floor-to-ceiling windows, to the intricate gold chandeliers, there is no other venue quite like The Omni King Edward Hotel that embodies those characteristics so evidently in the city of Toronto.

For the ceremony, we had wanted our florals to be prominent, so we selected plexiglass stands and vases for the floral arrangements that surrounded our walk-way to be displayed upon. We had a crisp white runway that lead to our three floral ceremony arches where we exchanged vows.

For the reception, we had altered the vases from plexiglass to very traditional gold vases for our centerpieces. The décor that we had selected had a gold undertone in order to bring out the gold finishes at the Crystal Ballroom. As such, we had upgraded the cutlery to be gold and also had selected gold-rimmed glassware.

Our sweets table was traditional, elegant, and chic. We had wanted the sweets table to have a variety of delicious desserts that were dressed in white and gold with floral décor and eloquent bow-ties. Overall, our wedding day was more than what both Justin and I envisioned. The day was the happiest days of our lives and it will be a milestone that we will forever cherish.

The Most Epic Ways to Dress up Your Wedding Bar

There are a lot of things to love about a wedding reception: the bridal party’s epic entrance, the couple’s first dance, the delicious food, the hours spent getting down on the dance floor, and, of course, the obvious feeling of love in the air from start to finish. But, if you asked guests what part they wouldn’t miss for the world – it would be probably be the drinks. Pretty sure the saying goes: “Alcohol. Because no great story ever started with a salad…”

From light essence/spa drinks passed out pre-ceremony (yes to mocktails! there’s a full night of alcoholic refreshments ahead!) to champagne wishes and signature sip dreams at cocktail hour, clink-worthy beverages in the ballroom to look-good-when-dancing drinks during the after-party, these spirits set the stage for a super fun night to come. And where they come from can be even more intoxicating!

We’ve made sure our shop is loaded with a mix of sassy and classy accoutrements to pretty up any wedding bar, so whether you’re thinking about a vintage drink vignette (complete with ALL the best vintage or whimsical heirloom rentals), something more rustic and rife with flowers, a classic champagne coupe-covered table, or a clean, modern bar decked with metallic accenting and acrylic signage, you’ll have all the finishing touches to design a bar that is 🔥

Read on for 5 of our favorite wedding bar fixes all available to shop on Style Me Pretty now!

Leave the “But First, Coffee” References for Monday Morning.

What better way to get guests in the mood than with a “but first, drinks” sign? This LED light-up look is just the thing to create a playful push to the bar, and with the pre-drilled holes and chains for hanging, it’s really a cinch to add some personality to your drink stations.

‘But First Drinks’ Light Up Sign

Champion the ‘Save the Water, Drink the Champagne’ Cause.

At a wedding, what’s more thirst-quenching than champagne?! We can’t think of anything… That’s why we’re always game for signage that says ‘drink up’ in a cute way! Dress up a table bestrewn with bubbly and give your bottles a pretty place to rest – we like ours floating in a sea of floral ice cubes, but that’s just us! Cheers to love!

Let the Simple Touches Get Them Tipsy.

Sometimes it’s the smallest details that can make a wedding bar dressed to impress. If you simply want to accessorize your venue’s basic bar setups or create your own libation stations (using your own bar carts from home or other props that befit beverage styling), we love doing it with simple votives or tea lights, flowers, and/or greenery and actually live for the look of ribbon garlands that bring a touch of color and sparkle. This is especially gorgeous if you’ll be using a mantle for your display…

Invite Your Peers to Cheers.

Of course, throughout the night there are ample opportunities for guests to toast in your honor, but there’s nothing wrong with a bit more encouragement! This calligraphed gold acrylic sign is adorable and a great add to dress up your bars or lounges. Actually, it’s a pretty phenomenal photo booth backdrop too… can you imagine all of the clinking glass Boomerangs you’ll have filling up your hashtag feed by the end of the night?

Heal Their Hangovers With a Little Hair of the Dog.

… Or some of that cucumber spa water we mentioned before. A classic linen table runner doesn’t just work for the wedding day, it can work really well for the morning after, too. Awaken your tired, partied-out guests with a mimosa, blood mary, or bellini bar at your farewell brunch. Your crew will appreciate it so much, because nothing says ‘till next time’ like some tassels and complimentary cocktails!

Whether you’re serving up spiked or virgin elixirs, make sure to celebrate your vows with a bar(s) that wows! Shop the Style Me Pretty Collection online right now!

This Cape Cod Wedding Is The Definition Of East Coast Elegance

An abundance of blush and cream blooms will make you stop in your tracks, but it’s the thoughtful details of the day that make this wedding truly shine. Travis and Jillian put meaning into every moment of their special day, like remembering the groom’s father by creating muted table numbers in the shape of nautical flags to honor his love of Cape Cod and affinity for flag collecting. The couple exchanged vows overlooking a sail-boat filled bay, and the celebration continued with a lavish garden-inspired reception space artfully designed by Always Yours Events. Click over to the full gallery for all the dreamy details.

From the bride… As soon as Travis and I got engaged, it was clear to both of us that there was no other place than Cape Cod for us to have our wedding. Wequassett really spoke to us, it is the perfect mix of upscale, elegance and romantic, yet still has that approachable Cape Cod style that we dreamed of for our big day. Cape Cod is sentimental to both of us since I grew up going to my grandparents’ home in Chatham, MA and Travis’ family has had a home in Yarmouth, MA for over 40 years.

We loved that we had a blank canvas to play with and could build out an ethereal setting together with our fabulous wedding planner turned friend, Keri of Always Yours Events. Keri designed a lush and magical oceanfront ceremony comprised of a white rose petal lined aisle structured with white-washed boxes overflowing with hydrangeas, our favorite flower, and a Cape Cod staple as well as two fairy-tale urns blooming upon pedestals framing us during the ceremony.

The floral team at Wild Dahlia led by Shawna Havenga worked with Keri to create a lavish garden-inspired flair with awe-inspiring floral statements that transformed the room into a lush and glamorous space with east coast charm. The day was magical and we felt so blessed to be surrounded by loved ones who came from near and far to celebrate with us.

A Majestic Mountain Backdrop Makes This Malibu Wedding A Must-See

Prepare yourself for the most romantic ceremony setup we’ve ever seen! With a show-stopping round ceremony arch in full bloom, ghost chairs flanked by an aisle covered in rose petals, and a breathtaking view of the Santa Monica mountains we can’t help but swoon. Can you imagine walking down the aisle to your happily ever after with all that beauty as the backdrop?! For Kevin and Lily the serene ceremony was just the start of their real-life fairytale elegantly captured by The Great Romance Photo. Watch all the loveliness unfold in the full gallery.

From the bride… Our wedding at Cielo Farms was everything we could have hoped for and more! When we first started planning, we agreed that we both wanted something outdoors that still had an elegant feel. Our venue was perfect because it combined the beautiful backdrop of the Santa Monica mountains with the cozy location tucked in the Cielo Vineyards.

We decided on all white florals and neutral accents to have a classic wedding feel and add to our elegant garden party theme. We offered our guests glasses of champagne as they sat down for the ceremony and began with music from a string trio.

The reception started at the same time the sun started setting, creating an intimate and cozy environment with the pink skies and hanging lights above the tables. The whole evening flowed perfectly.

We finished off the night with lots of dancing and fun! The CCL Weddings & Events team truly made our dream wedding come to life from start to finish, and we can’t thank them enough.

When to Start Shopping for Your Gown, and More Importantly – When to Stop!

Sooo, your S.O. has finally put a ring on it and now all you can think about is what you’re going to wear down the aisle. We totally get you – it’s one of the best parts of wedding planning! It can be so tempting to dive right into gown shopping as soon as your engaged–for some, even before it’s official! Let us break down the timeline for you so that you know exactly when you should start and stop shopping for your dream gown.

PHOTOGRAPHY | Larissa Cleveland Photography

1. Window-Shopping

These days window shopping is more metaphorical than literal. It can be anything from perusing magazines to fervently pinning to your secret gown inspiration board. However you window shop, just know that it is innocent enough and a totally normal and healthy thing to do. Browsing is a great way to understand what is out there and familiarize yourself with gown designers. It will also help you establish what you like and don’t like in a wedding gown. Be sure to make note of price points as well so you don’t fall in love with something that is completely out of your budget. Feel free to start window-shopping as soon as you’re engaged. This will allow you enough time to build up a great inspiration board for when you’re ready to tackle the real shopping.

PHOTOGRAPHY | Jenny Quicksall Photography

2. Scheduling Your Appointments

We recommend that brides start scheduling their appointments one month before you plan on shopping, which should be no later than one year before your wedding. You’ll want the one month buffer to allow time for family and friends to arrange travel (if you plan on bringing them to your bridal appointments). This buffer will also give you more flexibility in the dates/times of the appointments as most bridal boutiques book up weeks in advance. If you find that you are past the one year mark, don’t panic. Most boutiques offer weekday appointments that are not as hard to secure and some have waiting lists for those coveted weekend spots.

You will likely want to visit more than one retailer to try on gowns, so don’t plan on finding “the one” or commit to placing an order right away. Allow yourself one to two months to really think about your decision and make sure you are 100% certain before you make it official.

PHOTOGRAPHY | Jessica Grazia Mangia

3. When To Place Your Order

Wedding gowns are often made-to-order and take an average of six months to arrive at the boutique for you to pick up. You will need to allow one to two months for alterations. This means you should purchase your gown up to one year before but no later than eight months before your wedding. Be sure to ask the bridal consultant that you’re working with to confirm the lead time for your specific gown to make sure that it will arrive in plenty of time for your wedding date.

PHOTOGRAPHY | Sotiris Tsakanikas

4. When to Stop Shopping

Once you’ve placed the order for your gown, it is officially time to STOP SHOPPING. We know, it’s hard, but you don’t have to quit cold turkey. There’s still plenty of shopping to be done! Just stop shopping for your gown and start shopping for your bridal accessories like veils, shoes, jewelry, etc.

If you continue to look at gowns after you’ve made your decision, you risk giving yourself FOMO when the designers release their new collections. Just be confident in your decision and know that you are going to look incredible in the gown you chose on your wedding day!

PHOTOGRAPHY | Sally Pinera

5. The Best Times of Year to Shop

Just like regular fashion, bridal fashion has it’s seasons too. There are bridal fashion weeks in April and October where designers release new collections. The boutique owners attend the shows and place their orders for the coming season. Those gowns will be in stores in July/August and January/February. So, if you’re looking for the latest in bridal fashion, those are the best months to shop.

If you’re looking for a good deal, consider shopping in June and December. In these months, boutiques are having sample sales to make room for the new gown orders. These are also popular months for trunk shows. A trunk show is when a bridal line sends their new collection to a boutique for a short time and there is usually some sort of discount or other incentive for brides to order during that time frame.

PHOTOGRAPHER | Stephanie Brazzle Photography

6. What if You’re Already Past The Timeline

The timeline above is a recommendation to ensure the least amount of stress and most options for brides shopping for their wedding gown. If you’re already less than one year out from your wedding and haven’t started shopping yet, don’t panic–we’ve got you! Traditionally brides place an order for a gown at a boutique and there is a long turnaround time before your gown arrives at the boutique, but there are a few ways to circumvent that lead-time.

The first option is to buy from an online retailer like BHLDN who has wedding gowns in-stock in various sizes, making it possible for brides to order their gown online and have it delivered in days or weeks instead of months.

Let’s say you’re less than a year out, but you still have a few months before your wedding. Some designers offer a rush option so that you can still order from their regular collection but they will bump your order to the top of the line. When you are calling to schedule your bridal appointments, be upfront with your timeline. Ask if any of the lines they carry can accommodate your order before you schedule the appointment.

Another option is to purchase a gown at a sample sale. Sample sale gowns are usually sold as-is and are ready to take home within days if not the same day.

You will still need alterations with any of the speedier options. If you are on a really condensed timeline, most alterations specialists will have an option to place a rush on an order. It’s more expensive but it’s worth your peace of mind to know that your gown will be ready in time for your wedding.

A Malibu Ranch Wedding Complete With The Tallest Special Guest You Could Imagine!

We’ve seen it all when it comes to guest appearances at weddings from adorable kids and delightful dogs but what we haven’t seen is a giraffe! But, if you take a peek at today’s Malibu wedding at Saddlerock Ranch, you will get to see Stanley who lives on the 200,000 acres of land covered in vines and wine! The Vondy’s were there to photograph the special day, planned by Grace and Gold Events full of lush greenery and rustic details! Take a look below and be sure to check out the full gallery to see even more Stanley!

From The VondysAlthough they didn’t date then, Katie and Ryan actually went to high school together! They ran in the same baseball/softball friend circles but ultimately, went their separate ways. As fate would have it, ten years later, they ran into each other through a mutual friend and the rest is, as they say, history.

These two knew Saddlerock Ranch was “the one” (aka the venue for them) when on one of their Malibu wine tours. Upon hearing they host weddings, Ryan knew this is where he wanted to marry Katie. Awww. It’s actually the perfect spot for both of them because Ryan loves animals and Katie loves wine!

After last 2018’s devastating fires in Malibu, it was amazing to see that Saddlerock Ranch hasn’t lost any of its beauty and Stanley the giraffe is still as friendly as ever. Most of all, we are so happy that these two were able to have the most perfect wedding day and invited us to be a part of it all. We simply had a blast celebrating with these two and their amazing friends and family.

About The VondysWe are Justin and Shannon, a husband and wife wedding photography team from Los Angeles. We met 10 years ago at a wedding that Shannon was photographing and Justin was a groomsman.

Inspired By Love Poems, The New Bella Belle Collection Will Give You Serious Heart Eyes!

Making beautiful (and comfortable) wedding shoes is what Bella Belle shoe designers love to do, but this time around they added in even more love than usual! Their newest collection is inspired by love poems and we are (dare we say it?) in love! With beautiful beadwork and floating tulle bows, each shoe is named after a female poet and intricately designed. When it came time to photograph these beauties, Laura Gordon Photography was called upon along with Joy Proctor to do the styling, which led them all to none other than stunning Lake Como! Check out the jaw-dropping inspiration shoot, views and shoes below and we dare you to pick just one fave!

Inspiration on the shoot….Inspired by the writings of female poets, the “Poetry of Love” editorial explores the depth and complexities of love. Just like a great poem does, this pictorial will stir emotion and leave you pondering about love. Set in the poetic Lake Como, a summer retreat destination for writers throughout the ages, it is equally a visual pleasure and a poignant story about love. Behind this masterpiece, the editorial is some of the best creatives in the industry. A master at her/his craft, each person adds her/his unique interpretation of the theme Poetry of Love to create a nuanced story. The result is a magnificent synergy on the never-ending quest for beauty that none could have achieved on her own. From the artists on how she/he interpreted the Poetry of Love theme.

From Storied Shoes, Designers Bella BelleMaking beautiful and comfortable shoes is our passion. This time, we wrap them in the art of poetry. Inspired by beautiful love poems, each shoe is endearingly named after a famous female poet. The collection is a nuanced fusion of poetic elements and Bella Belle aesthetics. It is our interpretation of poetry in shoe form: the fluidity found in the embroidery, the airiness in a floating tulle bow, and the rhyme of exquisite beadwork.

From Painterly Light Photographer Laura GordonLake Como painted a magical scene and perfectly set the tone for the Poetry of Love editorial. My translation of this year’s theme was very much inspired by the rich textures seen throughout the area paired with the quiet presence of femininity and romance. I chose to focus on physical form and expression using light to paint the images evoking a tone and mood for the final collection. Captivating eye contact, soft gestures, and a bold backdrop create a look that feels vulnerable yet dynamic. The journey through these photographs is much like a love story… encompassing the range of emotions one might feel as if they were part of the story themselves.

From Creative Mastermind Joy ProctorTo visually translate the theme, I chose not to tell it in literal sense but proposed that we make our model a living depiction of the poet’s muse. I envision that she both wears and inspires poetry. I commissioned a poem written on her body as intricately as the bodice of a wedding gown. The second way in which I interpreted the “Poetry of Love” theme was to envision the model as the poet’s muse. I imagined her as a goddess; a woman of strength and elegance, sophistication and wisdom. To tell the story of the poet’s muse, I asked Shasta Bell Calligraphy to write a poem onto a silk ribbon in calligraphy. My hope was to visually show the effect of love. In this image, our muse is blinded by love; spellbound by the beauty of the poet’s words. She wraps herself in the sentiments the poet has written for her.

From Motion Picture Maestro – Zen FilmworksThe word “poetry” and “love” conveys the bearing of the soul through movement and softness. I was able to translate this to film through directing the model’s beautiful movements — dancing through the words and emotions of love and poetry. I was also able to push other elements such as vulnerability, sensuality, and journey through composition, negative space, light, and direction of camera movement and camera angles. What brought it all together as the final step was carefully chosen music to enhance these beautiful and interesting blends of emotions.

From Make-Up and Hair Magician Harold James ParisI wanted to express the Poetry of Love through movements and light textures. We have handcrafted with my team two unique hair accessories in my Parisian studio. To reflect freedom, it was important for me to see the hair in motion. Finally, I decided to play with the makeup to evoke softness, passion or strength thanks to the versatility of textures and colors.

From Logistics Connoisseur Centorose E Un Tulipano PlanningThe “Poetry of Love” editorial has been set exactly where one of the most famous poets and writers of the eighteenth century composed the poem “Mattino”. Villa Sola Cabiati and Villa Balbiano are two of the most refined examples of eighteenth-century architecture present on the lake. Graceful and commanding in stature, each villa features breathtaking painted ceilings, beautiful frescoes, and fine tapestry. Truly poetic in every sense of the word.

From Calligraphy Artist Shasta Bell CalligraphySo often poetry stays on the paper and never makes the jump from head to heart. It was so fun to put pen to skin and create living art – making a gown out of words – ‘weaving fabric’ from love and ink.

This 3 Day Celebration in Greece Was Every Bit as Magical as It Was Epic!

A horse-drawn carriage ceremony arrival, a reception at a castle under a canopy of string lights, 2 dessert stations, a cigar bar, and a party that lasted all night long – I mean, is that not the most epic wedding day you’ve ever heard!? Not to mention the bride’s fairytale wedding dress from Atelier Loukia that’s every girls dream. Maria Maroulidou planned every detail to perfection, allowing the couple and their guests to enjoy every magical moment. Don’t miss out on the full gallery of images captured by Sotiris Tsakanikas to see all the beauty this day has to offer.

From the wedding planner, Maria MaroulidouWhen Maria & Alex contacted us for their summer wedding we knew this couple of globetrotters was interested in offering their guests something exquisite. As Maria is a soul who loves everything close to nature and always seeks after new experiences that pay respect to the gifts of life, we focused our foremost attention to scoring the perfect venue for the big day. Seeking out those poplar-lined routes and stony tracks that criss-cross the Southern Greek region, we aimed for a place that would be part blissfully inured to chance, part avant-garde retreat.

Kinsterna is a Byzantine mansion cum state of the art retreat, where local history and sustainability matter big. With a straight view of the legendary castle-rock of Monemvasia, the freshness and majestic atmosphere inside the fortified 22-acre estate are the stuff of dreams. Think manicured flowering gardens and immaculate lawns, Peloponnesian citrus and orange groves, stands of ancient eucalyptus and towering cypresses, organic vegetable farms, aromatic herb beds, and lush private vineyards all giving the sloping land a truly irresistible scent. It used to be after all home to the residence of Mamluk chieftain and regent of Egypt, Ibrahim Bey.

The couple’s guests would have the chance to find out about the grape harvests, olive oil making, and tsipouro (traditional Greek moonshine) distillation, bread baking, and soap production- but also relax in the fresh spring-water pools, sample wines from the cellar at the Estate’s Belvedere, and luxuriate with some of the best SPA treatments a haven could ever offer. “We wanted them to have a thoroughly sentimental journey at our wedding” our bride confesses. With bees humming industriously on the neat hedges and the best summer weather a wedding could ever wish for, the couple’s 3day celebration rolled seamlessly. The two welcomed their friends by the beach to ease into the big day moods, enjoy a swim, cocktails, a taverna dinner and plenty of dancing.

On the day of the wedding and right after the bridal preps and portraits, a white horse-drawn carriage awaited to take Maria to church. The ceremony took place is a picturesque nearby chapel and right after it was all about beautiful portraits in the fields and all across the dotted mansion’s expanse. The reception was of course set in the estate’s most elegant terrace, among rows of pergolas strewn with light bulbs, pastel blooms, wrought-iron chairs and tabletops made of traditional handiwork lace. Our couple wished to spoil their guests a bit with a poolside signature cocktail hour, a cigar bar and two dessert stations, but one of the best parts was definitely the culinary one. All the local fruit, herbs, and vegetables which flourish in Kinsterna’s gardens and nearby Laconic fields (from sage, rosemary, thyme, wild asparagus and cherry tomatoes to pomegranates and quince) were ingeniously combined with local cheese and fresh, free-range meats and woodfire oven-baked bread, to enrich the couple’s many dishes and oranges added zest to their desserts. Needless to say that when a wedding happens in Greece, the party is bound to last till the early dawn. This inexhaustible duo and their squad of shinny dancers surely knew how to party.

This California-Cool Couple Nailed The DIY Details At Their Wedding

A bright and sunny color palette and panoramic ocean views welcomed guests to this California wedding day! With stationary that you won’t believe is a DIY by the bride and groom, a modern minimalist vibe, and the perfect blending of Vietnamese and American traditions, this is a special day you won’t be able to get out of your head. Natalie Bray, a true romantic at heart, artfully shot the love and romance of the celebration. You’re guaranteed to adore all the details in the full gallery.

From the bride… When we toured Scripps Seaside Forum for the first time, the hilltop seaside venue and beach backdrop reminded us of our summer nights in the French-Spanish city, San Sebastian. We really wanted to achieve the minimalist “less is more” feel to not take away from the uniqueness of the venue. Not a lot of venues can offer a panoramic view of the ocean from ceremony to sunset to reception.

Believe it or not, we did our Save the Dates, Invitations, Menu, and Wedding Signs all ourselves! All stationary and calligraphy done by yours truly, bride and groom. It was very helpful to have a groom with a master’s in Architecture and have friends with acrylic laser cutters. I can recall several fun nights after work, sitting in our living room, dreaming about what we wanted our stationery details to look like.

It was really important for us to blend Vietnamese and American traditions. All our family and friends know that we live to eat and we are the ultimate foodies. We worked really hard with our caterer, MIHO, to curate a cocktail hour menu that contained elevated flavors for our guests and made sure that carried into the six dinner courses. Fun fact: a typical Vietnamese wedding will serve about 9-10 courses!

A Romantic Wedding Complete With 345 Guests AND A Hanging Cake Installation You Just HAVE To See!

It is no easy task to plan, and create almost every detail of a 345 person wedding (including all florals and stationery,) but Rebecca Rose Events not only nailed it but did it all with some of the most beautiful details! From elegant, French-inspired lounge furniture to crafting a hanging cake installation for the gorgeous Cakes by Chloe wedding cake, the intricate, beautiful details were at every turn! Henry Photography captured all of those details and all of the romance as the happy couple danced the night away with their guests! Take a look below and be sure to check out the full gallery here!

From Rebecca Rose EventsDo you remember the 21st night of September? We always will!

When asked what they hoped to most remember thinking back on their wedding 20 years from now, Conley and David said, “We want to remember the love, warmth, and happiness that was shared privately between us, but also these moments with our friends and family.” We’re confident that they’ll always remember those moments. It was an evening to remember, for sure!

The black-tie wedding celebration began with a beautiful traditional ceremony at the Centenary United Methodist Church, followed by a clear top tented reception at a nearby private farm.

Guests arrived at the reception to find a large outdoor patio with lounge furniture, which led into a tent for cocktail hour. There everyone was served tray-passed cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, around the gorgeous “Bubbly Bar”, where the champagne was flowing! To signal the end of cocktail hour, the band started to play, and the curtains pulled back to reveal a hidden passageway into a larger clear top reception tent for dinner and dancing. On their way into the tent, guests feasted their eyes on a hanging cake installation, designed by our team in collaboration with pastry chef, Chloe Lee of Cakes by Chloe.

The reception tent was adorned with loosely hung smilax greenery, crystal chandeliers, and modern french style furniture. The color palette was intentionally neutral, featuring ivory, white, and rose gold, so that Conley’s favorite pops of green could really sing. We lined many portions of the tent walls with boxwood, and the stage was surrounded by fresh flowers. As the sunset, Conley, David, and their 345 guests danced the night away, before leaving in the glow of a sparkling grand exit.

And yes, the band kicked off the party with a killer rendition of Earth, Wind, and Fire’s “September”.

Old Meets New In This Charming California Wedding

We love when old-world and modern details come together in harmony, and this gorgeous California wedding does it just right! From the loose, organic floral arrangements to the round pampas grass arches, it’s the perfect mix of old and new. Weddings By Susan Dunne artfully created a day that’s filled with romantic details and thoughtful touches at every turn. Go ahead and gush over every bit of this outdoor wedding in the full gallery.

From Weddings By Susan DunneThe overall vibe was a blend of old-world with touches of modern and bohemian elements. The old-world feel came from the floral arrangements which were loose and organic, creating the feel of an English garden.

Modern twists were shown in the candles which had marble holders that were placed on white ceramic bowls. The bohemian inspiration was found through the thematically placement of pampas grass. Mixing these elements together created a soft romantic garden feel while staying polished.

The Lodge at Malibou Lake was an effortless choice in order to capture the essence of an Al Fresco family-style dinner. Shaded by Sycamore trees next to a private lake, The Lodge was the perfect place to dine and dance under the stars.

A Lavish Lake Como Wedding That Embraces Color!

Don’t get us wrong – we’ll always have a soft spot for classic blush and green weddings, but there’s truly nothing we love more than when a bride isn’t afraid to be brave with color! With the help of their planner, Rachel Birthistle, and their floral designer, Tulipina, this gorgeous couple embraced the lively hues found in Villa Pizzo’s enchanting gardens, allowing them to inspire a truly one of a kind color palette. Bright pops of pink and sandy yellows danced from their lakeside ceremony to the tented reception, all captured flawlessly by Sotiris Tsakanikas! Don’t miss the full gallery for more Lake Como wedding magic.

From the wedding planner… The bride and groom already had spent many holidays in Como and so had a special connection with the place, there was no real sales effort needed, it was already a done deal, we just had to identify the right venue. That was a love at first sight scenario when they strolled the grounds of Villa Pizzo. This particular villa is in a stunning position on the edge of Cernobbio, next door to the iconic Villa D’este hotel.

The garden of Villa Pizzo is one of the longest gardens lakeside and has paths that meander for some 10kms, containing both and Italian garden and English garden, this aesthetic diversity makes it the perfect venue as it creates natural reveals for the guests. The bride and groom were ideal clients in so many ways, they had a clear vision as to how they wanted their wedding to flow and feel.

The bride loved colour and was very open to our design ideas and guidance. The colour palette Kiana (Tulipina) and I suggested was initially influenced by both the villa and the bride, the villa itself is a mix of wonderful chalky tones of peach, earthy pink and sandy yellows, the garden is full of the most beautiful roses in similar tones, we took these base colours to a slightly fuller level and the bride wanted to have a warm yellow accent as she had a sentimental connection with the colour.

Without wanting to be too directional the bride was clear that she didn’t want too much greenery as she liked the structure and shape that was feasible with compositions that were predominantly made up of flowers, this was Kianas idea of heaven, she created the most beautiful compositions. For the ceremony area the combination of the palette and the definition of the spaces created by the compositions enhanced rather than distracted from the spectacular view.

The cocktail area was held in the Italian garden, we furnished it with a mix of elegant rattan lounges with warm pastel velvet fabrics, flowers were minimal as the space is already intriguing. The main focus in this area was the seating plan which were beautifully designed name tags by Letterink, that hung from a large tree. The weather had been a little unpredictable and the original plan was to be totally al fresco we needed the insurance cover of the tent structure in the courtyard. The dinner tables we kept simple and elegant, crisp chalk white linens with a strong dark peach accents both in the compositions and on the Oscar De la Renta plates, with warm golds and brass elements from the cutlery and the vases and not forgetting the sentimental yellow.

Expect The Unexpected At This Charmingly Eclectic English Wedding

When a stylish interior designer and talented architect come together to plan their wedding day, you know the results are about to leave you speechless. Lucy and Seamus opted for bold clashing colorways, lots of texture, and a mix of patterns that have us oohing and aahing. The delightfully out of the ordinary design and attention to detail is not to be missed. We dare you not to fall head over heels for this whimsical wedding full of personal touches in the full gallery, captured by Holly Clark Photography!

How did you envision your wedding being prior to planning?

From the Bride… I always knew it would involve a lot of colour! Whether it be wardrobe, work or wedding, I love bright clashing colourways, with plenty of texture, interest and an eclectic mix of pattern. The floral and stationary design was something that excited me the most and this is where I quickly immersed myself with colourful ideas and creations.

It had to be close to home, its one chance you have to bring your most loved friends and family together and show them a place that is sentimental to you and the day it will host.

I imagined a romantic candlelit dinner, in a building with great history, interest and architecture instead of in the garden. Autumn has always been my favourite season, so it was very well timed when Seamus proposed in October 2018, we did it almost to the day, 1 year later.

Like most, I had been pinning wedding inspiration well before my time and despite that, the style and ideas I had for the day never fell far from rich pops of reds, clashing pale pinks with the added twinkle of gyp and more delicate florals such as anemones (my favourite!). This was important as I didn’t want to be influenced by trends, I wanted to create something stylish, bold yet timeless to look back on in years to come.

Working in Interior Design, a lot of my inspiration came down to personal style. Venues I was attracted to had an element of surprise, out of the ordinary design and enchantment. From the riding house accommodation, the elegance of the main house through to the nightclub and speakeasy bar – there was no need to tone down the music nor our ideas.

Tell us a bit about the location!

Growing up, horses have always been our greatest love, my mum owns a local equestrian centre and I spent most of my childhood summers galloping across the New Forest. It was this part of the country that has always signified everything I love, home, countryside, horses and great sentiment. I knew instantly the New Forest is where my search would begin, until slightly further afield we stumbled across the hidden gem that is St. Giles House.

A house with great history, my love for interiors and Seamus, an architect, meant this was a building that struck a chord with us. Not to mention The Riding House, which mum proceeded to jump up and down with excitement when being shown around. This would host an intimate rehearsal dinner the eve of the wedding and would accommodate our bridal parties stay. It also had all the design hues of a member’s club and I knew would be the perfect hub for the two-day celebration.

The other place of great sentiment to us is Scotland. Seamus would take me on weekend trips multiple times a year due to the fond memories of university and close friends he has there. One summer meant this would not be a momentous obsession but a forever obsession and we made the bold move to buy our Scottish home. Kilts were plentiful on the day!

Other places that paved our journey made up the table names – Scotland, Amsterdam, Paris and Abu Dhabi.

What was your color palette and your style vision?

The colour palette was inspired by the romance of the day, on the one hand we had very whimsical, natural and organic tones and later on introduced the rich reds, pops of pinks and pastel greens.

Our wedding ended up having two themes to story tell. The first was organic, whimsical, natural, elegant tones for our church ceremony. This was very much inspired from the organza of my dress and the stylish lead of our stationary. I wanted this to be a fashion-forward take on the traditional formality of this part of the occasion. Lots of beautifully abundant foliage, full of texture and interest but in an unstructured ‘un-done’ style. This was really full of romance yet retained a ‘garden gathered’ look from the meadow that framed the aisle. The colour palette was luscious creams, peaches, blush, nudes, a total contrast to what we had styled for the wedding breakfast and evening party.

The wedding breakfast featured a maximalist style, feminine, textured, layered with the romantic colourways – pink tones with cream and red accents. We had a lot of fun with shapes, sizes, textures and simply creating a thrilling, unconventional mood.

What unique elements or DIY details did you include?

I commissioned a good friend to do an illustration for me, based on a photo taken of Seamus and I in Santorini. I had planned to gift this to Seamus as his wedding present, I wanted something really personal and unexpected. We love collecting art and prints for our home, so I was very excited by the idea. When I saw the finalised illustration, I realised it was the perfect personal touch to our day. I found heart shaped labels and had the illustration featured on our wedding favours. Continuing the romantic yet playful theme, I found glass heart ‘Love Potion’ bottles and tied the artwork to each individual bottle.

Then there were the invites. I got lost in ribbons at VV Rouleaux in Marylebone, it is heaven on earth for stylish trimmings, ribbons and textiles. I stayed up all evening hand-tying each bow which would hold our invite, RSVP and info card together. I loved our friends joy when they finally received them.

We filled favours full of Buckfast, made cushions from left over Liberty fabric and tied colourful ribbon to just about everything! Even our family dog, who is 16 years old, played a part in the DIY. Making use of the left-over ribbon we tied this to his collar to perform the ever-important role of the ring bearer.

Many sleepless nights were spent preparing for the wedding but Helen from What Peggy Did Next helped us make the day run seamlessly and we will be forever grateful we chose her to support us in the creation of our special day. The day was simply magical thanks to all the wonderful suppliers we had the pleasure of working with and we couldn’t have done it without them all.

Talk about your flowers, your gown, your favours, your cake, etc.

To begin the story and set the scene for surprises we delved into the stationary. Everything was to lead to the creative direction of the day and with our perfect venue secured, our invites would be the first part of the puzzle. Jennifer Grant, founder of Romeo & Jules Bespoke, ticked every box. Her illustrations are playful, colourful and very artistic. Our stationery suite combined a feminine palette – creams and gold for the main invite with bows and swirling fonts, sitting next to the pink and red scallop framed RSVP cards and the candy-striped Info card. The story continued with elegant order of services, printed place mats to feature the menu, pink heart name cards and candy stripe bar menus on the day. We created a crest with our initials in a poppy red with a scalloped frame. The femininity of the scallops played a feature throughout, with the romantic red, pink and cream colour-ways flattering our floral design direction.

The stylish tones Jennifer created for our main invite and order of service, were soft creams and golds. These softer tones transitioned into the floral design for the ceremony. The Church florals were softer more neutral subtle tones of creams, peach, blush pinks and nudes. A beautiful deconstructed arch was made to frame the ceremony area, taller on one side it was a beautiful rambling, naturalistic arch climbing a meta. We then created a garden meadow, growing garden scenes in a softer palette of florals placed between the upper pews, the look was purposely challenging different shapes and sizes, not uniform. It was something of my wildest dreams, I’ll never get bored of reminiscing over the florals that graced the aisle and seeing Seamus stood before it.

The style continued with the pinks, reds and creams of our wedding breakfast stationery complimenting the bold characterful blooms in abundance on our tables. My vision was to create a very full, colourful and romantic look featuring luscious, clashing red and pink roses, delicate anemones and playful gypsophila which was magical! We had 48 arrangements in total on long trestle tables. This was paired with clustered groupings of candles and tealights nestled in, for real atmosphere and storytelling. On the tables we had an eclectic mix of clear pressed glass candlesticks and tealight votives paired with green Ester and Erik taper dinner candles.

For my bouquet I wanted something really elegant and ironically less eclectic and loud. With such a special dress and detailed veil, I wanted something equally as delicate. It was very natural, as Jenni Bloom described a beautifully gathered/undone style with delicate interest. It was tied with a beautiful nude silk ribbon handmade in the UK.

The flower arch was reused to frame the entrance to our wedding breakfast, along with the garden meadows to sit beneath the seating plan and later on they created a feature by framing our wedding cake in the tapestry room. The meadows accompanied family portraits and later on a ‘photobooth’ opportunity with a rustic bench seat and spotlights. With all of these beautiful flowers the idea was to maximise their use as much as possible. Moving the meadows, the arch and urn displays to add to the drama of the drinks reception and wedding breakfast was the best decision we made. Later on, the same florals framed the dance-floor, simply adding large bunches of gyp for added drama and styling.

My dress was Halfpenny, a designer that shares the same obsession with organza, florals and a romantic modern style. I toyed with ideas such as peplum features, shoulder pads, organza and then came the Mayfair dress. As soon as I found the dress, or the dress found me, it became a huge influence on the styling of the day. Halfpenny altered the design to have a removable organza skirt, revealing a slinky party dress for the evening. Paired with the dandelion veil, it was everything and more, I had so much fun wearing it and am still staring at it hanging up in our home. My mum and maid of honour were the only people to see the dress before the day, I think their words were – it expressed ‘me’ perfectly and tears were shed!

The dress then inspired the beautiful four-tier cake made by Little Mallow. A simple white icing with delicate frill detailing inspired by the frills on the organza of my dress. Our cake was carrot cake and lemon drizzle – all sorts of deliciousness!

The styling alone wasn’t enough to create the ambience we craved, and this is where the food and entertainment was so central. Alongside the floral design and styling features to set the mood, we were adventurous with our menu and perhaps a little extra with our entertainment. My favourite moment of the day was the surprise I had planned for Seamus. I booked a local pipe band to burst through the doors during the cutting of our cake as a total surprise! Two pipers led the procession and all of our guests into the great dining room where cocktail hour went off. I was totally elated to have pulled this moment off and still to this day I grin from cheek to cheek thinking about it.

What is one piece of advice that you could give brides-to-be?

Keep the details of the day a surprise! From entertainment, florals and styling, to the reveal of the dress! I kept this all one big surprise, so each part of the day was unveiled to not only guests, but the bridal party and in my case…the groom!

It created magical moments that I will never forget. Sit back and soak in those moments, it is rare you will have another opportunity for your most loved friends and family to all come together for such a special celebration.

This Pink Garden Wedding at Snoqualmie Falls Will Have You Craving All Things Summer

We know, we know it’s only January… but it’s about this time of year that we can’t help but dream of warmer days ahead. Luckily, we have today’s gorgeous summer wedding at Snoqualmie Fall to live vicariously through! It’s filled with bright pops of pink, garden roses galore and the sweetest bride and groom of all time. Valley & Company Events made their dream intimate outdoor wedding day a reality, leaving no detail left unturned. Don’t miss out on the full gallery of images – all captured by O’Malley Photographers!

From Valley & Company EventsChao-Ching and John, a busy attorney and doctor, envisioned a romantic and intimate outdoor wedding to kick off their nuptials and summer, and were so delighted when we suggested Salish Lodge & Spa nestled atop Snoqualmie Falls.

The wedding was filled with summery elements like lupine, berry and cherry cocktails, garden roses, and touches of honey (nodding to the apiary on the property). Guests were whisked across the property through the different scenes: from the outdoor ceremony on the lawn with the roaring falls in the background to the terrace cocktails and dancing, each moment reflected their love and also the amazing backdrop.

Blush early summer blooms like pink and cream garden roses and peonies, blueberry branches, flowering oregano, colorful lupine, and rosemary painted the decadent garden scene, and guests were treated to artful cocktails that played off of the flower theme. Our ceremony altar was a triple garden arch that our team created out of countless roses and Southern greenery, and it was accented with big garden boxes filled with alpine lupine in poppy colors.

The petite sculpted cake from the Salish Lodge pastry team was filled with lemon cream and was nestled in green foliage in front of a floral-print backdrop we created from Grey & Cake’s motif. We used that botanical artwork throughout, on the handmade menus from Kelsey to the custom bar front panels, cheerful flowers were ever-present through this happy and bright celebration!

An Emerald Green Vineyard Wedding Complete With Meaningful Personal Touches at Every Turn

With the help of Kate Phillips Events, this couple was able to personalize every nook and cranny of their special day – from the signature drinks to the floral arrangements, every detail was thoughtfully designed to represent a significant moment in the bride and groom’s lives. Not only was their wedding filled with sentimental touches, but it also looked absolutely stunning, too! We’re still not over their one of a kind ceremony decor adorned with blooms from Photosynthesis, bound to grace the pages of Pinterest for years to come. Head on over to the full gallery to see all the pretty – taken by Shannon Moffit Photography!

From the Bride… From the moment we started planning the wedding, we knew we wanted it to be authentically “us” in every way possible. My mother always told me growing up that “the love is in the details”, a mantra I repeated constantly throughout the planning process. As a result, all of the small touches had a tie to James and I as individuals, our relationship, and/or our families. Some of our favorite details were our signature cocktails, The Bitsy and The Gunner, lovingly named after our two dogs. While the Bitsy, a French 75, was served traditionally in a champagne coupe, the Gunner, a bourbon and ginger, was served in a glass flask with a custom label that James designed himself. In addition to these, we also had a fabulous champagne tower greeting guests as they entered the venue, which I always dreamed of as an avid champagne drinker.

Guests also saw small gold bunnies on each of the tables which were in homage to my beloved grandmother, who we affectionately call Bunny. The Irish flag, hanging next to the American flag outside of Upper Shirley, and the bagpiper greeting guests as they got off the bus, then eventually leading me to the altar and James and I back down the aisle as husband and wife were also in honor of Bunny and the Wright family’s Irish heritage, something that was very instrumental in my upbringing. Two touches I have to give all of the credit to James for are our live painter, Matt Lively, and our neon “Poole Party” sign. James searched through local Richmond Facebook groups, Reddit posts, and reached out to several friends all over Virginia when looking for a live painter to document our special day. He was finally able to find Matt Lively, and we feel so lucky! We asked Matt to paint our ceremony, as this was the most important part of our celebration, and he captured it beautifully- individually painting each and every guest. Our neon sign reflected our wedding hashtag “Poole Party” and came from a local store that deals primarily in store front signs and industrial projects. I’ll never forget the charm of walking into their offices in Richmond with James, and them telling us how fun and different the sign was for them to make and them trying to explain to us how to set it up on the big day- they don’t often work with clueless newlyweds!

In lieu of a traditional cake, James and I decided to cut an apple pie as neither of us care for cake. Ernie, the chef de cuisine at Upper Shirley, crafted the crust of the pie we cut into an image of the tree of life- one of the most spectacular things we’ve ever seen. The Tiffany and Co. Pie server we used was a gift from our friend Katie, a bridesmaid and the woman who introduced us. Guests were treated to mini apple and pecan pies in addition to cookies and cream milkshake shooters for dessert. Our outfits were also each accented with special touches. James’ tuxedo liner was a collage of cigar wrappers and this was carried through the outfit into his shoes, Stubbs and Wooton slippers, that had a cigar on one shoe and a glass of scotch on the other. If you couldn’t tell that James enjoys cigars, it could also be seen in our cigar and bourbon bar! This was a must-have for James and his father, who always enjoy a nice glass of bourbon and a cigar whenever they are together. James also wore his late Grandfather Jim’s watch, a gift that was given to James by his Grandmother Judy when he passed away. I wore my mother’s diamond earrings, and my Grandmother Bunny’s emerald and diamond bracelet on the day of. Apart from being my favorite gemstone and favorite color, the green emerald coordinated with all of the deep greens we used in our wedding. Last, but certainly not least, were the presence of tulips both in the wedding and in our invitations. Growing up, my father frequently traveled to Amsterdam and would always bring me back wooden tulips and tulip bulbs for my garden, solidifying them as my favorite flowers for life. James later asked me to marry him in the middle of a tulip field at the Kukenhoff Gardens in Amsterdam, when the tulips were in full bloom. He proposed with a ring that my beloved grandmother, Bunny, had given him for the occasion just one month before, and a book of letters written by our best friends and family congratulating us. James maintains that traveling internationally with a diamond ring is one of the scariest things he will ever do. We rented a house boat that was parked on a canal in downtown Amsterdam for this trip, and I had been in a sour mood the morning of the proposal because James had insisted on this lodging choice, while I wanted to be in a hotel. I quickly forgave him when we returned from the Kukenhoff Gardens, newly engaged, and the whole boat was decorated with tulips and a bottle of Veuve Clicquot, my favorite champagne, that my 3 best friends had sent us, sat in an ice bucket. Needless to say, having tulips apart of the wedding, even in November, was essential!!

Favorite Moments:

Truth be told, our whole reason for having a wedding was to celebrate our union with those that we love most. When discussing what we saw in a wedding, James and I (very briefly) talked about eloping. This was quickly shut down, however, because we both knew part of the importance of professing our love to each other, would be professing it in front of our friends and family. This was echoed in our large bridal parties- each of us had 9 attendants that were a mixture of family and friends from every stage of our life, from kindergarten through graduate school. To avoid it looking like too much of a wall on either side of us, we opted to have our bridesmaids and groomsmen sit down, front row, during the ceremony while my maid of honor, my sister Cara, and James’ best man, his best friend Seth, stood next to us. It felt so great to have all of those special people have a perfect view as we said our vows. One thing James and I agreed upon immediately was that we wanted a live band. When we each pictured our wedding receptions, after the sanctity of the ceremony had concluded, we both envisioned a big party where we would be able to let loose with our nearest and dearest. Kustom Made quickly made all of these dreams come true for us and more. From the moment they played the first couple of notes, as they lead guests into the reception space from our cocktail hour, we knew we had made the right decision by hiring them. Their interaction with each other and the audience was unbeatable and I’ll never forget me and my bridesmaids being on stage singing “Proud Mary” after James and his groomsmen had been led in a fabulous rendition of “My Girl”. Their music selection made it so everyone, no matter their age, was able to get up and dance and this allowed for a spectacular moment where James, Bunny (my grandmother who is 92 years old), and I did a three way tango in the middle of the dance floor.

From the bride… When we started searching for venues, we knew we wanted a fall wedding but were open for the type of venue. Picking Gurney’s Montauk was the obvious choice for us once we saw the place. The backdrop of the ocean was stunning and the inside was cozy with burning fireplaces.

We decided not to do a first look, so the most special moment of the day was seeing each other for the first time during the ceremony. You could feel the overwhelming love of all our family and friends.

Once we started planning the wedding, the details started falling into place and really represented who we are. We wanted lots of flowers, but also let the beautiful setting speak for itself. From the first moment seeing each other to the last dance, there was so much emotion and happiness, it’ll be a feeling to forever cherish.
