Reason number 9,325,637 why I love New York City?  It makes one heck of a backdrop for engagement sessions.  Case in point?  This beautiful shoot captured by none other than the fabulous Trent Bailey, which features both an adorable (+ stylish) duo and image after image of the city they love (and where they fell in love!), NYC.  Take a gander at every magical moment in the full gallery.  It’s amazing.

From the Bride… Mike and I fell in love in New York City. As the seasons of the city progressed, so did our love for each other. We grew to adore both the well known and lesser known parts of New York, as we explored Manhattan together. In the summer, we escaped to the High Line for evenings walks and to capture a bit of peace in the city. In the fall, Mike cajoled me on, as I spent weekends in Central Park, training for the NYC marathon. He would always keep a smile on my face, as he tried to rollerblade, bike and run with me, so that I wouldn’t be lonely in my training. In the winter, we explored the city’s farmer’s markets and sipped cider. The following spring, Mike got down on one knee, near a cluster of Cherry Blossom Trees in Central Park, and asked me to marry him. I was completely shocked, surprised and overjoyed.

As we began to plan our engagement shoot, we wanted to capture the areas that were, in our eyes, the essence of NYC. We wanted to include our favorite spots, where we shared some of our first dates and fondest memories – especially on the High Line in Chelsea and in Central Park.

Our photographer, Trent, was such an inspiration to work with and so patient! Our session was rescheduled a few times, due to rain. However, the third time was the charm and he perfectly captured our special moments on our finally sunny day!
