I’ve been a guest at many a wedding, but this is one I wish I could have pulled an invite to. With it’s laid-back yet chic vibe, and sweet little details around every corner, I would have been in wedding-loving heaven at each moment of this soiree. It also wouldn’t hurt that witnessing this stylish couple say I do would pull at every single one of my heart strings, because their love just seeps through every image snapped up by Isabelle Selby Photography. Lucky for all of us, you can see every last one by being a virtual guest of this fab fête right here in the full gallery.
From the Bride…The most important aspect of our wedding (aside from marrying one another!) was that it mirrored our laid back – happy-go-lucky vibe. Having our friends and family come together to share this day was something we really wanted to focus on and our goal was one big loving/laughing celebration together. Will and I decided that we wanted an outdoor wedding from the beginning. Somewhere that combined his love of the water and my love for nature. Our first pick was to rent a house on the beach of Long Island, however as the wedding drew closer we opted to have our celebration on the breathtaking property of Peconic River Herb Farm. This was by far the best decision we made. The second best decision was hiring “day-of” wedding planners to keep the flow moving since this was not a task that we wanted to fall on any of our family members. Will is a carpenter so we wanted to showcase a lot of his talents in the decor; centerpieces, escort card stands, guestbook easel, photobooth backdrop – all things that helped to bring one-of-a-kind character to our special day. When we were unable to find off-the-beaten-path ideas for some of the details, I turned to Etsy. As much as I would have liked to “Do It All Myself”- when planning a wedding it is important to chose your DIY battles wisely. Everything came together beautifully. The venue, weather, decor, food, atmosphere… it was incredible to see it all in place. You can strive for absolute perfection, but at the end of the day all that matters is what you are celebrating and who you are celebrating it with. Our wedding day is something we will cherish for the rest of our lives.
