If ever I were to have a do-over for my wedding, this my friends would be exactly what it would look like. From the sweet and simple chamomile and mint bouquet to the rolling green hills on the Hudson River, this wedding is just too adorable and pretty for words. They kept it simple and stuck with their casual, garden themed style and it all came together brilliantly. Lindsay Madden Photography captured all the details and unforgettable moments and there’s a whole gallery right here just waiting to inspire you!
From the Bride… My husband and I wanted our wedding to feel like it reflected our relationship. We fell in love taking walks in the outdoors, so we decided to commit to a life together outside too. We got married by the water at Oak Hill, an estate on the Hudson River dating to the 18th century. Aesthetically, I was driven by my favorite color (turquoise) and a favorite print from 19th-century textile designer William Morris (“Anemone”). We wanted the event to have a relaxed garden party feel, so we kept the florals simple (my bouquet was just chamomile and mint), brought in some outdoor furniture and lawn games and also introduced some whimsical elements with outdoor picture frames and wedding wands. In the end, we all ended up having a blast.
