I’m a lover of all things vintage (aka, completely and totally obsessed), so when AmaraFix Photography sent along this stunning Brooklyn soiree, I almost fell right out of my chair. An insanely gorgeous ode to Old Hollywood, this lovely little number is boasting rich, dark hues, a sophisticated candlelit reception and an Alberto Makali gown that will knock.your.socks.off. Plus, when you get a look at those gorgeous bouquets by Sprout Home, you won’t know what to do with yourselves. Ready for a day of pure, unadulterated lovely? Join me in the gallery for more.
From AmaraFix Photography… Michael got ready in their home in Brooklyn with his groomsmen and their dog Rudy, while Rianna got ready at the Wythe Hotel. They were married at The Counting Room, a bar in Williamsburg. The dark, moody bar, Rianna’s glamorous, sequin dress, and the choice of red for the wedding color evoked an atmosphere of old Hollywood. One of the bride and groom’s concerns for the wedding photographs was documenting every single guest. We suggested a mock photo booth as a fun way of getting everyone’s photograph during the reception. Keeping with the old Hollywood theme, we chose black velvet for the backdrop. Michael and Rianna provided the props: a sombrero, a luchador mask and a mullet-styled black wig. Over 700 photo booth photographs later, it’s safe to say people could not get enough of it.
