There’s just something about a classic New York City fête that simply screams romance… and this stunning Central Park soiree most definitely has the L.O.V.E down to a sweet, sweet science. Combining both Persian and Western traditions and boasting a stunning couple and gorgeous lakeside views, it’s breathtaking affairs like this one that have me so incredibly enchanted with the big NYC.  Add in a gallery of brilliant images captured by Julia Newman Photography and one the most darling films I have ever seen by Magic Flute Videos and, well.  I am most definitely done for.  Click here for more.

And a sweet film by Magic Flute Videos to wrap up the pretty…

From the Bride… Alex and I were married almost exactly three months ago at the Central Park Boathouse in New York City. It was a gorgeous day, and we had a traditional Western non-denominational ceremony followed by the Persian “sofreh aghd” ceremony. We infused my Persian heritage into many aspects of the wedding, including having a traditional Persian “knife dance” during the cake cutting. My nieces and female family members danced with the knife (really the server) used to cut the cake and teased the bride and groom until the groom finally paid my niece, who was the last one holding the knife/server. The whole night was filled with so much love, laughter and dancing, and Magic Flute Videos did such a great job catching the spirit of the day that I thought I would share!

Two things I love about this wedding:

First, all the lovely romantic details in all the decor

Second, the way the bride cannot keep her eyes off her groom... just lovely and it is one of the many reason I am over joyed to be a wedding photographer: love

    Sonya dear!

Watching this video and gazing at the gorgeous photographs brought tears to my eyes I agree wholeheartedly with the first commenter -- the way you cannot keep your eyes off of Alex is truly wonderful. And I know he cannot keep his eyes off of you -- he is smitten!

    Love to you both,
    Rebecca
