Yes, from the breathtaking venue to the sweet, sweet couple to the fabulous vintage meets organic vibe, every last ounce of this darling Chelsea Piers fete is almost too wonderful to comprehend. And don’t even get me started on those straight-from-the-garden centerpieces by Diana Gould… I die. Trust me, there’s not a moment of this pretty, pretty soiree that you’ll want to miss. From the Bride… Whenever Seth and I would dream about our wedding, a weekend getaway surrounded by all our family and friends was most important to us. The search for our perfect wedding venue led us to romantic wineries, quaint farmhouses and to historic homes with breathtaking views of the water. Yet we knew without hesitation when we found our “spot” and to our surprise we ended up right in the city where we fell in love and where we were starting our life together… Manhattan.
Our venue had everything we dreamed of; Open space with plenty of room to comfortably host our guests, an outside terrace overlooking the water and a loft like appeal that was the ideal blank canvas for us to add our unique personality and style to make our wedding our own.
Narrowing down our choices of style and color proved to be a challenge. We craved a vintage, organic yet elegant look…if that even existed. We didn’t have a pre-defined color palette and wanted everything to appear effortless. An enormous thank you to Style me Pretty, as it was my daily go to blog for inspiration and ideas that along with the vision and talent of our vendors ultimately helped us create the wedding of our dreams.
The entire day was a blur however my favorite moment was our first look. The idea was presented by our amazing Photographers – Justin and Mary from Justin Marantz Photography. Stealing that one moment that was just ours I will never forget. Having everyone that we loved in one room for a magical night to celebrate our love was a memory that we will always hold in our hearts.
