I’m not sure if there are even words to express how much I adore this wedding by mel barlow & co. It is barn bash goodness at its very, very best. A little DIY, a little vintage, a little modern and, of course, a whole lot of amazingness. Including the awesomely adorable couple who have the cutest style EVER. Bow ties and birdcage veils are a combination that can never, ever be wrong. See the rest of the sweet deets in the full gallery!

From mel barlow & co.…Christie and Kevin met at an advertising agency. Kevin had been working there for 2 1/2 years when Christie was hired by his boss. Christie was very professional at the workplace and Kevin thought she was beautiful. Christie and Kevin had their first date after working together for one year. On their first date, they watched old movies and Kevin told Christie he loved her. Two weeks later Christie told Kevin she loved him. They were married three years later.
Christie and Kevin collaborated throughout the wedding planning process. They wanted their wedding day to be their own – creative and unique. Every detail was carefully thought out – they even went dress shopping together and picked out an edgy wedding dress for Christie by Morgan Le Fray. Christie and Kevin wanted their wedding to feel like a close knit dinner party in the woods. They wanted guests to experience their unbelievable intimacy and wanted the day to be simple, romantic, and quiet.
Kevin designed the play list and it was an awesome mixture of new and old, rare cover songs, romantic, and upbeat. Christie walked down the aisle to an acoustic guitar playing Nina Simone’s “Here Comes the Sun.”

Where did you get these benches from?? Did you rent them or did the venue already have them? I'm really wanting to do benches for our ceremony, but have no idea where to find them!
The hanging paper cranes are a beautiful! Such a nice touch, and excellently photographed.
Beautiful, intimate and warm! Could you tell me who did those gorgeous save the dates?
Hi!
Benches were rented, and I had a friend at work do the save the dates for me. She did a hand painted design and then we printed them on some textured paper that looked like wood.
Hope that helps!
