Chautauqua Wedding at Plumbush Bed & Breakfast

June 20th. 2011 by A. Blaire | Filed Under | 22 comments

This adorable couple hit the pretty barn jackpot when they decided to get married at Plumbush Bed & Breakfast. The picturesque backdrop it provides are what barn wedding dreams are made of, and it’s pretty obvious why these farm fêtes are all the rage these days. How can you not love a laid-back, detail-filled fest? It’s what makes our hearts flutter over here at SMP and thankfully Beauty For Ashes Photography filled the gallery with beautiful images of this affair so we wouldn’t have to miss a minute of it.

From the Bride… I wanted to share with my favorite wedding site, my wedding that took place July 3rd, 2010. My photographer did such a great job of capturing the wedding and all the beautiful details. The wedding took place in the lake town of Chautauqua NY at Plumbush Bed & Breakfast in a (gorgeous) barn.

There were so many simple details that graced this wedding: from vintage typewriters, a love tree for a guest book, burlap wrapped succulents for flowers, and old school flashcards for table names, topped off with sparklers and a vintage getaway car. Guest played badminton as they waited for the reception to start.

This wedding was vintage, classy, laid back, with a J.Crew look on a budget.  We did a very easy DIY for our favors- we simply wrapped flower seeds and tied them with twine, with a stamp that read “And they lived happily ever after.”

Oh my gosh! So beautiful. I look over so many weddings, but nothing can ever compare to the beauty of this one. I love the rustic, the vintage, and the small touches that made it all come together. Plus the bouqets were phenomenal.

Those bouquets are just gorgeous! Exactly what I've been looking for - beautiful lilac roses but put together in a wild rustic style...so so pretty!
