I am SO glad I am not alone in my love for stripes. If you put stripes on a skirt, purse, wall, or really any inanimate object I am automatically smitten. This lovely bride, with fabulous taste I might add, has the same affinity for all things striped and decided to make it a central design theme for their wedding – and for that alone, I love her. This creative duo joined forces and DIY-ed the heck out of this affair, and you can see all of the fabulousness captured by 1. From 1. Art Beauty Life : Jenny Ebert Photography… Chris Lane, a 30-year-old Production Coordinator in New York City’s film industry, and Lindsay Chandler-Alexander, a 28-year-old architecture student at the Harvard Graduate School of Design, first met in 1999 at summer camp. Ten years later, while back at camp for a weekend away, Chris proposed on the bridge where they first kissed. After an enthusiastic acceptance, the couple dove into planning a wedding weekend in the Catskill Mountains, five minutes down the road from the camp where they fell in love.
Lindsay and Chris, both coming from creative fields, jumped at the opportunity to make the wedding a personal project, designing everything themselves down to the last detail. Lindsay, having an affinity for stripes, immediately had the idea to make black + white stripes the wedding theme. The green accent color, inspired by the couples love for the outdoors and the natural setting of the reception, offset the graphic stripes. The palate filtered through every element of the wedding from the handmade wood invitations, down to the hand-tied napkin rings.

The capture of the ladies with the frame is priceless
I love all of the little details of this wedding. It's even more inspiring that a lot of it is DIY! As a DIY bride, it's nice to know that it actually IS possible to fill your wedding up with little touches.
The photos are lovely and I like how this author was able to pick up on how much effort and thought was put into the wedding- from stripes to the DIY-monkey knot placecards and fan/programs- this was one of the best weddings i'd ever been to both because the couple is madly in love and because the care they exhibited towards their guests and the people the loved.
BEST WEDDING!
The little touches are amazing. Even down to the wedding cafe figures that actually match the bride and groom! That can't be a coincidence - it's simply wonderful.
I watched this wedding form from moments after the proposal to their walking down the isle as husband and wife. The pictures provide a wonderful glimpse into an event that was breathtakingly beautiful, for a couple whose love is just that. I love you both and I'm so happy your wedding is getting the attention it deserves!
almost a year later and i am STILL talking about how fabulous this wedding weekend was. i know firsthand how much effort was put into this fabulous weekend by both the bride and groom- every detail was perfectly executed and seamlessly done.
congrats to a beautiful couple and best wishes for their future!
The dessert bar was fabulous and fun!

A Dream Wedding
I loved this wedding! I was so happy to be the ring bearer. Lindsay was beautiful and she even gave me a kiss. Love you guys!!!!
The most amazing wedding and an even more amazing couple. I love there creativity...it was so Laid back, no stress, no drama, even the weather was beautiful. Cocktail hour in the barn was probably the coolest touch. If there careers don't work out they could always be wedding planners and dam good ones at that
