We have died and gone to dress heaven. We are long time fans of ruffle-tastic dresses, but this one seriously blows it out of the ballpark. The bride is rockin’ it and we can’t get enough. This amazingly glamorous wedding, shot by Jeff Tisman Photography, is full of sweet little details. We are loving the punches of green that are infused throughout the day…just gorgeous! Are you dying to see more of that dress and all of its beauty? Yeah, we thought so. Hurry on over to the gallery to see more. XO, Tori & Myka

Rachel and George are a couple that is all about family, friends, and unbridled good times. And they have a lot of all three. So, when they started planning their wedding, finding a venue that would enable them to entertain their guests without the standard restrictions of a typical event space was at the top of their list. A space that was also reflective of their modern sense of style, and unique flair for the unexpected, was also a must. They found both at a privately-owned home along the spectacularly picturesque Hudson River in Staatsburg, NY. Equally important to Rachel and George was the fact that the venue, being privately-owned, allowed them to rent the property exclusively for the entire weekend. This gave the couple the freedom they wanted to create a personal, unique and private weekend-long destination event for their guests, free of pre-determined caterers, bar packages, and – perhaps most importantly for this fun-loving crowd – restrictive time policies, which came in handy as late evenings turned into early mornings. Multiple guest houses on the property meant that the couple’s entire immediate family, wedding party, and closest friends could all stay on the property, lending an intimate and relaxed vibe to the entire weekend.
For their wedding day, Rachel and George wanted every element to reflect their unique sense of style and personality (which they jokingly define as “classically modern, with unexpected twists of the ridiculous”). As a result, many of the day’s elements were custom-made, several by the couple themselves. The cuff links worn by George, and given as gifts to his Groomsmen and Ushers, were custom-designed and made to reflect the couple’s love of the band Guns N’ Roses (whose initials the couple (G n’ R) also share), and are engraved with the couple’s wedding date. George’s white tuxedo jacket was also hand-made, and the interior embroidered with his name on one side, and the couple’s wedding date on the other. Rachel’s wedding dress was also the perfect reflection of her “classic but untraditional” sense of style. Originally created in a plum color for Eva Longoria for the 2007 Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, the dress was not initially intended to be a wedding gown at all.
Thanks for sharing your amazing wedding with us.

Absolutely stunning dress, definately a show stopper! and i'm a big fan of spare flip flops!
that dress, and bride, are crazy gorgeous!
THAT is the most epic groomsmen shot I have ever seen.
LOVE the Marchesa dress...so fabulous!!
would really like to know the price of marchesa bridal dress? It's really beautiful.. I'm getting married next year and it's so hard to find a dress where I live (Croatia) :))
thanks....
Wow!! I ordered this dress for my wedding in June and I cannot wait to wear it after seeing these photos! So gorgeous...this entire wedding!
Is this really a real wedding? I *swear* it's a fashion shoot! Wowzers! Hehe, Congrats!
Iana,
I think I paid around 6k for this dress. It was somewhere around 7-8 originally but I got it at a bridal trunk show in Boston, MA at a discount.
that dress is amazing. simply amazing
Gorgeous wedding as always! I love the bridal shot - jaw dropping. Style Me Pretty always features the most beautiful weddings!
The Bride's dress is To.Die.For.
WOWZA. And I have got to know where she found those rad-tastic wedge sandal heels. I'd have given my right arm for cute pair like those for my own wedding last year. Especially since most wedge sandals are so fugly.
Wow, I love Marchesa, and I adore this dress. Funny enough, this is the second time this week that I've seen this dress, and I can't enough out of it.
Seriously fabulous dress! Wow!
Hooray rugby! Great shots & a beautiful gown!
oooohh these are beautiful! Good job everyone :)
the dress is absolutely fantabulous.
Hi I am considering Locusts as well for my venue next Fall and was wondering if you could let me know any additional information about the venue. Did you enjoy working with them, was the food good, etc? Please email me if you have a minute to nickandnik306 (at) gmail.com
where can I find custom cufflinks like those?
That rugby shot is AWESOME!
Just curious what the black detailing was beneath the flowers in the bouquet? It looks like some black rafia or other similar material looped underneat the bouquet.... if you know, will you please let me know!
This photo shoot made our cufflinks look RIDICULOUSLY cool. Jeff's photography is unbelievable!!!
For more info on the cufflinks, check out our fan page on facebook under "wmdean"
Jeff tisman is beyond the best wedding photographers out there. He has such an eye for beautiful things! You couldn't ask for anyone better.
This wedding is breathtaking! That dress is absolutely perfect! I also love the rugby theme for the grromsmen. For the Bride- may I ask where you found the floral hair piece? Thanks!
hey everyone,
thank you sooooooooooo much for the amazing compliments and taking the time to check out my images!! can't tell you how great it is to read all the awesome compliments!!
j
I am soooo in love with that dress! What a beautiful bride! And I love the hanging programs and just might do that myself now! I also wish there was a swing at our venue! That sure made for a great picture!!!
Hi, maybe you're selling this amazing dress? :)
It is such an honor to have our wedding posted here! We owe it all to Jeff, who is truly the greatest photographer I've ever worked with, and I work in the Beauty industry, so I've worked with some of the best!!! And thank you all for your wonderful comments - our wedding really was a dream come true for us, and we were so happy to share it! And all the compliments you've posted make it even more special! Thank you!!! I think most of your questions have been answered by now, but here's what I can add to those that haven't been:
to "A": the shoes were found after MONTHS of trolling the internet and stores in NYC to no avail. Most surprisingly, I found them on Zappos of all places! They are by Pour la Victoire, which offers a surprising number of very cute wedge styles.... Even more surprising - they were actually comfortable!!!
to "The Dazzling Details": although it looks black in the pics, it's actually green Bear Grass that's looped around the bottom of my bouquet. If you'd like to know more about it, please contact Steve Morgan at Morgan's Florist in Poughkeepsie, NY. He's wonderful to work with and very creative!
to "Julija": George would LOVE it if I would sell the dress! But I just can't. It was really my dream dress - I coveted it for 2 years before I was even engaged, and years before it was even redesigned in white! I was so obsessed with this dress that I ordered it before I had ever even tried it (or any other dress) on! I'm actually looking into having it dyed another color so that I might wear it again (as if I'll ever have anything that fancy to wear it to, but a girl can dream, right?)
Cheers, again, everyone! This all has been so fun!
Oh - one more that I forgot (sorry!):
to "Isabel R": the silk flower in my hair was custom made by Bride's Head Revisited in NYC. They were terrific and really designed the piece to perfectly complement my dress. I highly recommend them! They also make custom veils, and feature the work of another artist who makes gorgeous beaded satin sashes for a fraction of the cost of some other designers....

I just got this dress too in Boston and I cannot wait to wear it! It even looks amazing on petite girls like me!
