I am so glad that you all loved this beautiful wedding as much as I did. Particularly this beautiful bride. And her beautiful dress. And you know what…it just keeps getting better. Lindsey and Scott’s ballroom reception was the epitome of elegance and romance. They even took a little break to capture an affair to remember style photograph right on the street in New York City. It seriously doesn’t get any more romantic than this and luckily for all of us, Karen Wise was on hand to capture the gorgeousness.

Our reception was held at Twenty Four Fifth, a carefully restored ballroom on lower Fifth Avenue near Washington Square Park. The room has a warm, inviting glow and is in the style of an old supper club with the dance floor a few steps down from where our guests sat. For music, we used Hank Lane Entertainment and a band called Fifth Avenue. They managed to keep our guests out of their chairs and on the dance floor for most of the night, which was fantastic.
All of our paper goods (save-the-dates, invitations, menus, programs, etc) were designed by a dear friend and helped to create and sustain a common look and theme from engagement to wedding day. For our wedding favors, my mother, sister-in-law and I baked hundreds of linzer cookies and packaged them in white boxes tied with silver ribbon. The idea of giving out homemade cookies appealed to us, so we turned our kitchen into a bakery for a day.
Our photographer was Karen Wise, from Karen Wise Photography, in Brooklyn, NY. She and her assistant, did a fabulous job documenting our day. She captured unforgettable memories that we will treasure forever. The bouquets and flowers at the chapel and reception were all done by Anthony Swick of Bay Bouquet in Tampa, FL. He and his two lovely assistants drove all the way up from Florida to help set the stage for our day. When we hired Anthony, I had a vision in my mind of how I wanted the flowers to look—neutral lavenders, greens, whites and creams with various textures—and he by far exceeded our expectations.
All in all, our wedding was an amazing, magical day that took a lot of hard work to coordinate but came together beautifully.

ooh just got a glimpse of what looks like a really great shoe - can we see a close up :)?
Just caught a glimpse of the bride's shoes in the first photo. Any idea where they're from? Gorgeous wedding :)
Wow I think this is my favorite SMP wedding ever.
Wow, classic elegance at it's best. Love this wedding!
Thank you all for your comments. You are all too kind!! I saw some questions about my shoes, BM shoes, bracelet, and my mom's dress. My shoes - Jimmy Choo. The bracelet - Judith Ripka. Mother of the bride dress - Lela Rose. Bridesmaid shoes - BP at Nordstrom. Thank you again!
This wedding is stunning. Absolutely love the cake, not over the top yet still elegant!
Karen is an absolutey one of a kind. She captures the natural emotion of the event. She is a true artist that captures the organic raw beauty of each one of her events. She is truly gifted and creative. These photos are stunning.
Hi Lindsey!
I LOVE your Jimmy Choos and can't seem to find them online. Maybe they are a few seasons old? Do me a huge favor and let us all know the style name? Thank you so much!
I love this wedding. Totally classic. It is like a shoot for a magazine. Are you sure this really is a real wedding? Lol..
Love the wedding, love the shoes, love the gown, love the jewelry. Everything is perfect.
Wonderfully classic New York wedding. Love the accents of purple in the flowers.
Beautiful images!!! a close friend sent me to look at your work, its gorgeous.
i also fell in love with your website. May i ask who designed it for you?
what a pleasure it was stopping by.
Whenever I look at brides and real weddings on websites, they never seem "real" to me - they're like fairytale weddings, so perfect and happy! It doesn't feel like that will be me in 4 months. It hasn't really hit me completely yet since my engagement has been so long, and I have had plenty of time to plan it, (it will be a 2 1/2 year long engagement when we are married in June). The dress is gorgeous and the photography is amazing! I love to see brides in dresses that stray from the normal strapless, poofy gowns that a lot of brides wear these days! My dress has straps and its very Great Gatsby and old Hollywood. I'm also incorporating a beautiful birdcage headpiece, and some antique-looking earrings and bracelet (my bling that matches the dress!). I hope the bride had as much of a blast at her wedding as the pictures depicted! Love Love Love this wedding!!
I had to leave a comment for this wedding because to me it just screamed sophistication and oozed elegance. Such a glamorous wedding, simply gorgeous!
Lovely wedding! And as a wedding planner in Los Angeles, where a fire permit is required at many venues and open flame/taper candles verboten everywhere, I am drooling over the thick pillar candles!
Hi Stephanie, were you asking me about my website design? Or SMP's website design? I'm happy you like the photos : )
wedding planners that are very committed to their jobs are very hard to find ~-.

Most of what you assert is astonishingly accurate and it makes me ponder the reason why I hadn't looked at this with this light before. Your piece really did turn the light on for me personally as far as this specific subject matter goes. But at this time there is just one factor I am not really too comfy with so while I try to reconcile that with the actual central theme of your issue, allow me observe exactly what the rest of your readers have to point out.Very well done.
