It never fails, images from Laura Gordon make my heart leap. It’s the way her pictures perfectly capture not only the details but also the moments fluttering around a couple’s big day that really gets me. So when she steps behind the lens for a couple like this one, who couldn’t be more in love if they tried, I basically drop everything I am doing to soak up all the lovely. From Laura… I am so thrilled to share this beautiful, romantic wedding I photographed last summer in Brielle, New Jersey. Joanna & Soren’s wedding was simply breath taking! With views of the beach, charming details, a gorgeous color palette of soft blues with ivory accents, and the sweetest couple you’ll ever meet… this wedding was incredible. During their first look, Soren was waiting with a single white rose and a letter as Joanna met him on the front steps of the gorgeous waterfront home where the bride got dressed. I felt so much emotion that day, standing there on that porch, as I photographed this couple… so in love… just beginning their lives together. They held each other so close and I can’t tell you how many times Soren reached over to kiss her on her hand, her head or her cheek. It is love like their’s that inspires others. And love like their’s that moves me to continue to create beautiful images for years to come. The romance continued throughout their day. I hope their love inspires others as much as it has for me. It is a day I will never forget and every time I hear the song, “A Thousand Years” (the song played during their first dance) I get all emotional and remember how incredibly romantic and special their day was.
