Southern New Jersey Enchanted Woodland Wedding Inspiration

Woodland with a beautiful side of whimsy, this stunning shoot captured by Bri Morse Imagery is not to be missed. With elegance infused into every picture perfect detail, not to mention gorgeous florals from Primrose And Company and gowns from Elizabeth John’s, this gallery is a must see

From Bri Morse ImageryThis shoot’s inspiration all began with the whimsical, oversized unfinished wood chairs (as you will see in the photos) that my husband handmade actually. I sketched them out, found the right wood, and he made them for me (followed by the sweetheart and cake table too)…how sweet is that?! I’ve been dreaming up an idea like this to photograph for awhile. Something that was simple and beautiful, that had a bit of a fantasy feel to it. We wanted the look to be elegant and timeless, with a whimsical and unconventional twist. A contrast between rough unfinished design elements and fine beautiful details.

The dress is called “The Forrest” (fitting!) by Lela Rose, and the gorgeous alternative bridal jewelry featured is by the talented Anne Sportun. The groom’s band was lent to us by Bario Neal, whose unique jewelry is ethically sourced.

Peonies with a blush bleed and soft Bridal veil flower, touches of wheat and white berry. Handmade ivory paper with fine gold thread as accent. Rustic ruffle cake with peonies and gold branches and a touch of textured greenery. Billows of sheer ivory fabric created a asymmetrical and deconstructed alter site.

New Jersey Wedding from Love Me Do Photography

There are major fashion moments in every wedding we feature on SMP. The gown, the shoes, the jewelry – fashion eye candy is just the norm on our screens. But just take one look at this brides floral crown below, and you will know that this morning’s fashion moment is anything but normal. And that’s just the tip of all the pretty packed into this post – a Bride with flowers in her hair, a Groom that couldn’t look more in love if he tried, and a wedding so pretty we simply can’t stop smiling? Fashion moment or not – the images captured by Love Me Do Photography are full of all the moments we love most. See so much more here.

From the Groom… There was a moment before Corinne and I met when we both were wandering post-college, waiting for something magnificent to happen. Strangely enough, it took sliced Italian cold cuts to bring us together. I had been working at a local deli and had taken to busting one of my co-workers about his good-looking sister. After mustering up enough courage, the call was made and a semi-blind date was spent sipping passion tea and eating chocolate biscotti. As a small side note, Corinne and I are both from the same small town, which is nearly a square mile. We shared the same mutual friends and competed in the same junior athletic leagues — yet never knew each other until we met that night.

After five years, there was small talk of marriage, mostly the two of us agreeing that we wanted to. I made it no secret that I was shopping for an engagement ring, but it was important to me that Corinne wasn’t involved in the process. We are very lucky to have dined in some of the best restaurants around the country, and it was no surprise to me that my wife had a little bit of a chef crush on Eric Ripert of Le Bernardin. Naturally, when I had negotiated a way to have Chef Ripert make a tableside visit just prior to popping the question, I was a tad bit worried she might just run off! When he first walked by the table, Corinne’s response was, “Oh, he’s so gorgeous,” which I followed with, “I’m doomed.” Well neither of us have any recollection of what we said to the chef when we met him, but just after he left and my emotions could no longer take it, I dropped to one knee, instantly welled up and asked Corinne if she would “dine with me for the rest of our lives.” She said “Yes,” and we cried, then enjoyed the meal of a lifetime.

From the Bride… From the second I said “Yes,” I knew that I could not wait to get to the moment when I said “I do” to my best friend. We both knew that the over-sized chandeliers, mismatched carpets and funny angel wallpaper found in the majority of New Jersey wedding locations was not our ideal, so we ventured outside the expected. We both envisioned a relaxing atmosphere centered around family, friends and amazing food. Once we met Teri Lands of Main Street Catering at the Inn at Fernbrook Farms, everything fell into place.

After spending months gathering vintage jars and bottles; perfecting DIY projects made from recycled barn doors, windowpanes and old bike frames; and brewing and bottling our homemade beer, our day had finally come. Our vision of romantic candlelight, fresh garden flowers and endless dancing played out in front of us. It was amazing that we had the wedding that we always dreamed of, and in the end, we were able to share with our guests who we are as a couple and how we want the rest of our life to be: free-spirited, well-fed and always celebrated.

South Jersey Summer Wedding From A Garden Party

Another brilliantly colorful wedding ~ today! From A Garden Party, Kari and Dave were married this past summer in her parents’ back yard. The day was filled with love as they said their I Do’s alongside their pretty pup!

from The Garden Party Sisters

Kari and Dave were married this past August at Kari’s family home. They were a fun loving couple that wanted their wedding to be full of bright colors and fun details. This is a couple that chose to get married with their dog by their side (dressed for the day with a brand new bandanna that said ‘I do too’), how much more fun can you get than that?!?!

Kari carried a bouquet of orange mini gerbers, yellow tulips, orange calla lilies, protea, hot pink spray roses and gorgeous pink dahlias (hand selected by a local grower). A dazzling rhinestone brooch was added to bring in the little bit of bling! The bridesmaids carried bouquets of similar flowers with multi colored ribbon wrap and beaded fringe – so cute!

We grew up with Kari, so seeing her looking so stunning on her wedding day was that much more special to us. It was important to us that Kari’s ceremony site really be eye catching. We did swirls of rose petals down the aisle, hung bi-colored gerber daisies from the chairs, and covered the arbor in a floral arch. Orange and pink were the colors of the day, and they sure did stand out!

It can be steamy in August here in South Jersey, so each guest was given a little fan and a beer cozy. Under the tent were centerpieces of tropical flowers. On each table a picture of the couple was attached. Instead of being numbered the tables were named to describe the picture on the table. Their was a table showing their first date, and many places that they had vacationed together.

Kari and Dave’s was a wedding to remember and we hope you enjoy all the fun details as much as we do!
