It never fails, as soon as the peonies bloom, I start to crave the coastlines – particularly the islands off the coast of Massachusetts. Because even though they are just a hop, skip and a jump away, somehow you feel on the other side of the world as soon as your flip flops hit their docks. So a wedding on Martha’s Vineyard? Well that’s a complete dream. It only takes one peek at all the pretty sitting in this seaside soiree from Pizzuti Studios Photography to know this couple’s dream became a beautiful reality – and you can see it all right here.
From the Bride… Planning the wedding was a breeze. I always pictured a destination wedding, but never had my heart set on anywhere in particular. During a picture perfect Labor Day weekend on Martha’s Vineyard, Dan got down on one knee at Waters Edge during sunset. It was perfect. We were staying at The Beach Plum Inn in Menemsha in our own cottage with a fireplace, ocean views and no cell service. Complete tranquility.
The next night at dinner, we sipped champagne and watched the sun set down on Menemsha Harbor. That’s when Dan suggested “Why don’t we get married here?” I loved the idea instantly and after our entrees, we were completely sold. We inquired with the waitress who sent over the events coordinator. She told us the only opening left for the 2012 season was Memorial Day weekend. We said “We’ll take it!”
Back in Boston family and friends celebrated with us and were all surprised to hear we already had the venue booked! With 8 months to plan we set straight to work. We decided to keep things small and intimate, inviting only immediate family and our closest friends. We went with all on-island vendors, except for our photographers who we had our heart set on. I found the process easy and managed everything by using the checklist provided by the Knot website. Dan and I took several trips to the vineyard over the winter, sampling cake, coordinating with the band, rental company and Beach Plum. We didn’t over-think anything and I kept to my simple, yet elegant theme. I knew I had to have peonies and my close friend who happens to be in event planning and a florist made that happen for us. Everything came together smoothly and we couldn’t have been happier with how it all turned out.

Cape Cod weddings are a special kind of crazy gorgeous, where seaside charm and historic settings join forces to create the prettiest of days. So, when this stunning Baltimore duo took a vacation to one of the world’s most beautiful locales, they knew instantly it was the ideal spot for tying the knot. One that would play host to an array of elegant details (here’s looking at you beautiful blooms from Designers Touch, Floral Creations & Event Decor) and heartwarming moments aplenty. See it all captured by Deborah Zoe in the full gallery.
From Deborah Zoe… Emma and Jon are from the Baltimore area and after visiting the Cape on a vacation they simply fell in love with the historic charm of the seaside region. They knew that this was the perfect area to tie the knot and planned a destination affair on the Cape for their family and friends. They were married at the First Parish in Brewster, just down the street from Ocean Edge Resort where they held their reception. While Emma paid close attention to her elegant details the wedding had a relaxed and intimate feel and the day was shared by their closest friends and family.

You Cape Cod sweeties really know how to throw a beach wedding. I’m talking a seriously sophisticated, downright elegant, toes-in-the-sand kind of affair. The kind of day that makes me want to throw out every plan I’ve ever dreamt up for my “someday” (and, let’s face it, there are many) and start exclusively pinning only Cape Cod soirees. Ones like this beauty captured by Katie Noble Weddings, which is literally overflowing with the pretty, from the breathtaking Beach Club setting to the bride and groom who will, put simply, take your breath away. See every last moment in the full gallery.
From Katie Noble Weddings… The Beach Club on Cape Cod, MA was a perfect location for Max and Shelly’s wedding. With its beautiful view, ideal setting for the ceremony and chic rustic interior for the reception I had such a wonderful time photographing the day! We started with the ladies getting makeup and hair done and then soon it was off to The Beach Club. I was able to get some shots of the guys, other fun details (even a needlepoint homage to The Beach Club- awesome!) and then it was on to the ceremony. Set right on the beach, we were treated to a service by Max and Shelly’s friend and yoga teacher. At one point, Max had me misty eyed! Shelly was completely stunning and moved through the day with such grace. The reception held inside the club was a perfect venue for an evening of dinner and dancing.
