Inspired by her love of The Secret Garden, this bride planned one heck of a fairy tale wedding, if I do say so myself. From the stacks of antique books covered in moss, to the brass keys that led guests to their seats, this wedding is all about the perfect little details. Oh, and the fact that they held both the ceremony and reception at the Boston Public Library? Well, that just makes it off the hook fantastic! Sweet Monday Photography captured all the details and trust me, you don’t want to miss out on this gallery!
From Sweet Monday Photography… Maggie’s inspiration for her wedding was a favorite childhood book, “The Secret Garden,” so the florals were designed with an English garden in mind (lots of roses, vines, moss, etc.), and there were keys to escort people to their seats. She wanted classic elegance and glamour, and the Boston Public Library is one of the most stunning venues in Boston. There were lots of other book-themed elements throughout the day, such as the paper suite, moss-covered books stacked among the florals on the tables, the pop-up book they had welcoming people into the ceremony and table numbers at the reception. Chris owns a sock company, so he provided the party favors “just in case the night knocked your socks off.” Maggie works in the fashion industry so we knew she was going to bring it with her dress — her fresh-off-the-runway Oscar de la Renta did not disappoint!
