Boston Wedding at The State Room By Krista Photography

I’m not a wedding crasher (unless you count all of the glorious weddings I get to “crash” on a daily basis here at SMP), but if there is one wedding I would have been tempted to sneak my way into, it’s this breathtaking State Room affair captured beautifully by Krista Photography.  A traditional soiree that kicked off with a stunning ceremony at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross, it’s one of those weddings you seriously can’t stop dreaming about with beautiful blooms from Awesome Blossom, sweet pastel hues and a pair of oh-so-happy (+ oh-so-gorgeous) newlyweds.  Life is good.  Click here for more.

Not quite ready to say goodbye to this beautiful duo?  (I know.. us, too.)  Well, thankfully, Krista Photography sent along their equally as gorgeous engagement session, so we don’t have to.  Today is awesome.

From Krista PhotographyFrom the very first time Liz emailed me, I knew I’d love her. Then we met in person, and I was totally proved right. Liz & Pete are great together, so easy to talk to, and just a joy to be with! Their wedding this fall at The State Room was no less wonderful than I would have imagined. SO much fun, and a serious love fest! These two are not only beautiful, but they are DEARLY loved by their friends and family. It was so great to celebrate with them and be part of their day!!

From the Bride… Pete and I had the most amazing wedding we could ever dream of. The weekend was so much fun, from the rehearsal dinner to the wedding; everything went off without a hitch. I was SO happy we decided to do first look before our nuptials. We met at the Ames hotel, in a private area with Krista and our videographers and it was such an amazing moment being able to see Pete (my now husband) before the wedding. We were able to take all of our photos before the wedding (thanks to Krista for recommending first look), and it was the BEST decision we made. The weather on the day of our wedding was questionable in the morning, but the rain held off, so we made a game time decision to go to the Boston Public Garden for pictures with the bridal party and family. It was a picture perfect day.

The ceremony was lovely – we had a full mass since both of our families are Catholic and it was just perfect. Since we had some lag time between the wedding and cocktail hour, we decided to do a receiving line which ended up being a great decision. I feel like I was able to see everyone at the wedding in the receiving line. Cocktail hour began at 6pm and we were able to enjoy every minute of cocktail hour; mixing and mingling with guests (another perk of doing a first look). My twin sister sang our father/daughter song (since she’s super multi-talented) and my Dad was so surprised. It was such a special moment. We danced the entire night and the dance floor was jam packed all night long (as well as the photobooth). We had a great wedding and can’t believe it’s over, but we are so happy we can relive the night through our video and photos! Wouldn’t change one thing about the day/night!

Boston Engagement Session from Elizabeth Clark Photography

Carrie from Sex and the City was right.  There’s just nothing more romantic than surrounding yourself with the countless love stories (old and new) at the public library.  From Austen to Brontë to Shakespeare, it’s a literal love-fest the minute you walk through those front doors.  So it goes without saying that for these adorable students, The Boston Public Library was THE perfect place to capture an engagement session that all at once highlighted their love of academia, their stylish attitudes and their adoration for one another.  See every moment snapped up by Elizabeth Clark Photography right here.

From Elizabeth Clark PhotographyIntroducing Sarah and Jin, a couple who fell madly in love and became engaged in a matter of months. The Boston Public Library was the perfect setting for this couple, who are both studying at Boston schools. Sarah, who completed her undergrad at Smith College, is now pursuing her law degree at Suffolk University (note the photograph of jurisprudence annals).  Jin, on the other hand, is a bass player studying at Berklee. Doesn’t this setting capture a mix of bookish academia and dapper rock-and-roll attitude? I honestly think they look like they stepped out of the pages of a magazine.

Boston Wedding from Deborah Zoe Photo

We’ve got Deborah Zoe Photo to thank for sending this pretty Boston soirée our way. This city holds a special place in the hearts of this sweet couple as it’s where they met and eventually fell in love. After their church ceremony they partied the night away with drop dead gorgeous views of Boston harbor. It’s super city chic and it’s all right here in the full gallery!

From Deborah Zoe PhotoRob and Rachel met and fell in love in the city of Boston, so it came as no surprise that they chose Boston as the location for their wedding. They married in a church very dear to their family and celebrated the night away overlooking Boston Harbor. Every inch of their wedding day reflected the relationship of the couple, from the location (where they met, fell in love and now live!) to the reception (which echoed their love of travel).
