From Invited Special Events… The couple, Anne and Taylor, are based in DC, but they decided on getting married at Anne’s parent’s home in Medfield, MA. It was the PERFECT location for them, and it allowed us to incorporate all the casual “home-style” details that the couple really wanted. The bride’s favorite color is orange, so we made sure it was everywhere! The bright pops orange were complemented beautifully with blue throughout all the details of the day. The couple also knew they wanted to incorporate the neighborhood in some of their photographs, so they decided to have their first look at a family friend’s barn. From there they went to the local ice cream shop, Bubbling Brook, to take bridal party photos and enjoy a couple ice cream cones!
There were so many personal and DIY projects that were taken on for the ceremony and reception: from the chalkboard seating chart (a labor of love completed by Anne!) to the custom reclaimed barnboard table runners (thanks to her Dad!) to the program and menu design (another labor of love by the bride) to the three-foot orange balloons we had throughout the ceremony. Every person had a hand in making the day what it was, and her parent’s were so gracious when their home became wedding central!
Not a fan of wedding cake, Anne and Taylor decided against it. We opted instead for a pound cake and ice cream bar for all the guests to enjoy! With three flavors of pound cake, four flavors of ice cream and dozens of topping options, the guests were more than happy! We actually even ended up using Anne’s own pound cake recipe which also served as their wedding cake, with a custom bike cake topper of course. One of the best parts of the evening was the fire pit “after party!” We brought in hay bales for seating and covered them with orange jute for all the guests to cozy around the fire pit so they could enjoy the little s’mores station we’d set up for them, and enjoy it they did!
The photographers, The Wiebners, did an unbelievable job of capturing all the custom details of the day, including all of the priceless moments that were shared. Any wedding that ends up with the bride, groom and entire bridal party enjoying beers in the hot tub at 2am in the morning is a fabulous wedding in my book!

Thank you so much for featuring Anne and Taylor's wedding! As evidenced by the photographs, the day was a blast for everyone! I was simply honored to be given the opportunity to make it happen for them!
Beautiful details Pavaune! this looks like a wedding I would want to be a guest at!!
Thanks so much for featuring this wedding! Anne and Taylor were a joy to photograph and we were honored to be invited to Massachusetts to photograph their day for them. Such a beautiful day and great details and guests.
Thanks for sharing this wedding. I really like the variety of colors and creative ideas that accentuate the individual tastes of the bride and groom. It really shows that they got the wedding they dreamed of. Great work on the part of Invited Special Events to capture and bring into reality the essence of the bride and groom's ideal wedding. After all it is their wedding and should reflect them.
I was honored to have been the DJ on Anne and Taylor's special day. It was an amazing event and I had a ton of fun providing the musical backdrop for the ceremony and reception.
Congratulations again to the lovely couple and to Pavaune and the folks at Invited Special Events!
We are still getting rave reviews from our guests for Anne and Taylor's wedding. We all had a wonderful time. Anne and Taylor had a vision of just what type of wedding they wanted and Pavaune was able to make it happen! It was perfect, right down to the last detail. If you are planning a wedding, I highly recommend hiring a wedding planner. It made the planning and the actual day fun and less stressful for all. And having the wedding at our home made it even more special!
Really lovely couple, really lovely wedding, congratulations!
Beautiful! Love that orange tone.
So fun and unique! Love it! Congrats to the beautiful couple and to Pavaune at Invited Special Events for pulling all those amazing details together! Alos, props to The Wiebners for the beautifully creative images. Nice work you guys!
As a photographer myself, I note and appreciate the color combinations and personal touches that were captured throughout. Looks like Invited did a great job of getting to know the bride and groom and working personal details into the ceremony and reception in a tasteful fashion. Great job!
Bride chiming in here: thanks for all the lovely comments on our wedding! It was a wonderful day, in no small part because we had an amazing team of vendors to work with. Starting, of course, with Pavaune from Invited Events...she did a phenomenal job of getting to know us as a couple and our aesthetic, and then translating it into something that felt truly personal to us and our guests. The Wiebners, our photographers, not only have an amazing eye for emotion and beauty, they're also the nicest people on the planet, and a lot of fun to have around on your wedding day.
MA brides, two words for you on catering: Baker's. Best. I think we changed maybe one thing from our initial tasting...their menu was creative and fresh, their coordinator (Taryn) was a dream to work with, and the food was delicious. We're still getting compliments!
We also had great experiences with Judy's Village Florals and Seth at Beat Train. One of the things we liked about both these vendors was that we just had to give them an outline of what we were looking for, and they totally ran with it and delivered beyond our expectations. Thanks to everyone!
great design, great photos!
Hello. What a lovely wedding! Anne's dress is gorgeous. Can someone please tell me more about it? I'm getting married in June.
