It’s rare that I get to see a classic Cape Cod wedding with major spunk and style. Usually they are a bit more tailored, a bit more preppy. But this wedding, that Michael Howard photographed and sent our way, is the perfect balance of understated elegance and pure style. Plus, I am kind of nuts about the cake toppers…

The wedding was held at a private residence on the cape, with both the bride and the groom being artists.
Cake toppers: Tessa Barr, artist, San Francisco / Gown: Nicole Miller / Bride’s shoes: Poetic Licence / Groom’s suit: Calvin Klein / Tie: Cyberoptix Tie Lab / Groom’s socks: Uniqlo / Bridemaid dress: Komarov Pleated Flutter Sleeve Dress from Nordstrom / Paper Star Lanterns with LEDs: hand made by Chip and Lisa / Porcelain Boat Place Cards: hand made by Chip and Lisa / Sign “The Wedding of Chip and Lisa”: hand made by Chip and Lisa / Caterer & Cake: Casual Gourmet, coordinator Cheryl Stewart / Florist: Bee and Blossom / Tent: Undercover Tent / Music: Maggie Mackay and the Whiskey Boys bluegrass trio

i'm gonna need detailed info on those shoes and where to find them!! :)
I love the bright blue...it just pops and looks amazing!
As I said to yesterday's wedding: I love any kind of birds on any kind of cake!!
Love Love Love the Venue. I know you said private residence, but it is a rental property or family owned?
What a great color palette!!
YES PLEASE!! Details on the shoes would be great!!
The Peacock Wedding cake is beautiful and unusual.
Can you please tell me where you got the big stars?
Maggie - I'm the photographer from their wedding. They actually handmade each of those stars and wired them with battery powered LED lights. They said each one took awhile to make, but they looked amazing the day of the wedding!
Shelagh - It's a family owned property.
Not sure on the shoes for those asking! Vendor info will be up soon!
Love love love the setting and details. I can't help but wonder - what Cape Cod view can you see from the third floor window?
I never saw the answer to if you can rent this venue? Is there anyway someone can give some more information, I'm looking to get married on a private residence on the Cape.
