From the Bride…The first Saturday in June proved to be the perfect timing for the formal peony garden to be in full bloom at Hildene, in Manchester Village, Vermont. Prior to stopping-and-smelling the roses, the Bride, Heather, the Groom, Lukas, their Bridal Party and guests, all prepped for the day at the historic Equinox Resort & Spa in the heart of Manchester Village; across the street stands the formidable First Congregational Church where they would soon wed. After a morning sprinkle, the skies opened up to the brightest blue to shine on the couple this day. Following the church ceremony where the couple laughed and loved (and the Bride’s 87 year old grandfather proudly walked her down the aisle), the 200 guests started arriving at Hildene, Robert Todd Lincoln’s summer home, and a truly remarkable venue that captures the beauty of Vermont in the Spring. The green mountains were illuminated that afternoon as the guests toured the home, roamed the gardens, and sipped on some speciality, craft cocktails. Dinner and dancing followed in the tent where there wasn’t an empty spot on the dance floor the entire evening, thanks to the phenomenal band, or a full-plate left on a table, thanks to the fabulous caterer. Speaking of tables, each was adorned with more of the beautiful calligraphy that matched the ceremony programs, invitation suite and save the dates, and even more peonies to brighten your day (vases were painted by the groom because his bride couldn’t get enough rose gold!). While the guests eventually returned home to New York and Michigan, for the most part, it wasn’t before they lit the way for the happy couple’s exit with heart-shaped sparklers, capping off the perfect day (and night).

From Ashley Largesse Photography… After a long, long winter here in Vermont, everyone has been excited for the flowers to bloom and birds to sing! As weather went from negative to almost summer temperatures in one week, we knew we had to celebrate with an elegant nature-inspired bridal shoot. We fell head over heels for a gorgeous and simply beautiful apple blossom tree outside the Apple Hill Inn in Hartland, Vermont and so the inspiration for this styled bridal shoot was born.
For this inspiration shoot we really wanted to capture a feminine and elegant look of a Spring bride, and also the comfort that this wonderful season brings forth. With beautiful antique plateware provided by Sir Richards Antiques and rentals from Rain or Shine Tent and Events, we created a dining area perfectly cozy for two. The simplicity of the design, with small touches of soft stripes and blossoming florals by the talented Michelle at Petals, set the tone for a classy wedding occasion. More pops of pale pinks continued the feminine touch with pretty linens from The Linen Shop.
The gorgeous natural light and chic decor at the Apple Hill Inn Wedding Venue provided us the polished look we were yearning for. Clarke Couture Cakes designed a breathtaking wedding cake that balanced beautiful pieces of nature with a soft, lovely design.
With hair design by A Finishing Touch and make up by Jennifer Perellie Makeup, our bride was so sweetly stunning. She wore a beautiful dress draped in lace and tied with ribbon by Celia Grace and so gracefully sparkled in bridal jewelry by Edera Jewelry.

My husband and I are having our ten year wedding anniversary this summer. It feels like yesterday. And the moments leading up to our I-Do’s are some of my most treasured memories—drinking champagne with my girls, trying not to cry for fear of smearing my makeup, dying laughing over stories past and tearing up over those to come. This shoot, from Ashley Largesse Photography celebrates those perfect hours before the vows with just the girls. And I couldn’t love it more. All the pics here!

…The hours leading up to that much-anticipated walk down the aisle are made even more exciting and beautiful when filled with the love of a bride’s best friends. As she awakes and nervousness may start to grow within her, it is her bridesmaids’ supportive and giddy presence encouraging her to fully experience each moment of happiness.
This vintage tea party inspired bridal shoot took place at An Affair by the Lake in Addison, Vermont. For this shoot we wanted to fully capture the excitement filling the air around a bride and her girls. We surrounded these beautiful ladies with sweetly feminine details and a soft, pretty-in-pink color palette. The bride and bridesmaids dressed in their silk robes, sipping their Vermont Juice Company mimosas, as they started to celebrate with laughs and hugs. Their gorgeous make up done by the delightful Jennifer Perellie and hair by the talented Kerry Armstrong. We captured the emotional journey our bride experienced as she presented her thoughtful bridesmaid gifts organized by the fashionistas over at Common Deer, followed by the famously meaningful moment of stepping into her timeless wedding gown provided by Fiori Bridal. The bride bedazzled her look with jewelry by Edera Jewelry and the bridesmaids with jewelry by TSB Design. Hand in hand these best friends ventured outside to admire the adirondack lake views.
Set in front of a gorgeous whitewashed barn and beside the calming lake, we designed a simple and elegant tea party inspired dining area. Dennille from Village Green Florist worked her magic hanging floral designs and precious chandeliers from the barn doors. Delicate tea cups and a stunning old jewelry box held more of Dennille’s beautiful flowers across the table. The vintage furniture and other unique pieces provided by the wonderful Vermont Vintage Weddings perfectly set the tone for this elegant event.
Sweet tooths were definitely satisfied with the heavenly assortment of desserts by The Little Purple Cake Shoppe. Stationery by Christa Alexandra Designs added an additional soft and creative touch to this feminine theme. With coordination and design by the fabulous Jerica over at Etcetera Events Co., design and photography by Ashley Largesse Photography, and design and hosting by Lorraine and Cheri at An Affair by the Lake, the day was beauty galore and all smiles!
We hope that you enjoy this inspired shoot and want to thank you for your consideration in featuring our hard work.

Considering I’m saying my own “I do’s” in Vermont in only a few weeks, this wedding struck a chord with me early on. But after diving into Elate Photo’s pics, this rustic celebration could have taken place anywhere and I still would have been a fan. My words can’t do this gorgeous gallery justice or even attempt to describe the love between these two cuties; see all this beauty and more right here!

From the Bride… Daniel and I went to Vermont on a ski trip. After a day of skiing, we went on a short hike to a little clearing, where we stopped to rest, right as the sun was setting. I had no idea what was coming, until I saw the box. Right after he proposed, it started snowing! (He’s an amazing planner!)
The theme for the wedding was elegant but rustic with a hint of alpacas. We got married in Vermont (at a beautiful venue that was also an alpaca farm) so we wanted to match the beautiful natural feel of our surroundings with the serenity and ease a wedding day should be. My mom and sister (Pink Door Garden Design) did all of the decorating and everything came out beautifully. It was a gorgeous August day, and the barn was filled with flowers, charming items from my childhood home (paintings and pictures, certain pieces of furniture, mirrors, jewelry, dishes, etc), and gorgeous serving pieces. We had mismatched china on ivory tablecloths, stacks of old books at part of the centerpieces where the table numbers sat, tulle and hanging lights decorated the walls, along with branches and flowers we borrowed from the natural landscape. It came together so beautifully.
Our favorite moment was the first look at each other when I walked down the aisle. What we recall feeling the strongest at that moment was complete peace. And it lasted the entire time. Everyone told us the wedding day would be a blur, and it did go by quickly, but there was such a peace and a happiness about it that we’ll always remember.
