Cozy Outdoor Wedding Inspiration

Spring might be quietly knocking at our doors, but that doesn’t mean my heart beats for pretty, cold weather fêtes any less. In fact, the second I stumbled upon this amazing shoot from Loft PhotographieSouthern Social and Petal Pushers, I sort of wished it was the beginning of winter all over again…just don’t tell anyone I said that. Get comfy-cozy and join me in the gallery for soooo much more.

From Loft Photographie… We created warm wedding to encompass our favorite seasonal elements – a welcoming dinner table, cozy lounge and delightful sweets surrounded by the Texas Hill Country.

The key to any event is a superb location. We teamed up with the humble folks at Red Corral Ranch – a place your dearest 33 friends or family members will feel right at home in cozy accommodations and make a yearly tradition. We started with the inviting place settings balancing the edgy rose gold flatware with classic vintage water goblets and wine glasses on a hearty rustic farm table. The dinner table was nestled away amongst the trees only found on the ranch’s 1,100 acres by a secret footbridge.

Petal Pushers transformed the farm table with winter whites and lush greenery perfectly mastering the balance of comfort and luxury – a table encouraging guests to sit for hours sipping wine and sharing stories under the Texas sky. The Stationery Bakery hand painted gorgeous tree slices with seasonal sayings bringing comfort to the bold and modern place settings.

When creating the cozy lounge, we filled the gorgeous over-sized sofa from Bee Lavish with fury pillows and a beautiful throw to embrace the night’s chill. We included a few sweet treats from Simon Lee Bakery and champagne within arms reach to enjoy while chatting with loved ones. Also, we designed a scrumptious dessert cart matched for the season offering cake with hazelnut filling, spiced sugar cookies and decadent cake balls.

Red Corral Ranch Wedding from Matthew Johnson Studios

The color palette in this gorgeous Red Corral Ranch wedding by Matthew Johnson Studios is enough to inspire all of you out there any day of the year, but it feels even more fitting today. Why you ask? Because it’s fall perfection, and it’s like sprinkling a little style over all hallows eve. With the gorgeous (and I mean, gorgeous) florals from WOW Factor Floral Design and all the details planned to perfection by Wedding Warriors, this gallery is one inspiring place to be this Halloween. See why here.

From Matthew Johnson StudiosI think you can tell a lot of about a person, or a couple, by how they deal with unexpected events on their wedding day. That being said, Zach and Karolina showed what amazing people they are by enjoying themselves and their beautiful event even though heavy morning rains required a shift from their original outdoor ceremony plans. With the quick help of their planner, Christina Lewis of Wedding Warriors, the ceremony was moved into Red Corral Ranch’s Celebration Hall. Even though getting all the guests into the Hall was a tight squeeze, it actually made for a really nice, intimate experience.

The morning rains eventually lifted and we were able to get outside and enjoy the beautiful grounds of Red Corral Ranch. The reception at the Big Red Barn kept the fun going with great live music by Rhythm Inc. and a photo booth featuring old wooden picture frames that Zach and Karolina had collected. The classic styling of the wedding fit the couple perfectly and was a great blend of traditional with a touch of Texas Hill Country feel to it.

Rustic Wimberley Wedding from Shaun Menary Photography

I’m not quite sure what your Monday agenda entails, SMPers, but do me a favor and set aside some time to really, really soak in this beautiful day captured by Shaun Menary Photography.  Because this isn’t just any drop-dead gorgeous wedding.  No, it’s a drop-dead gorgeous wedding set against a stunning Hill Country backdrop boasting beautiful DIY details, a fab BHLDN gown and one serious set of paper good lovely from Lilco Letterpress.  In other words, it’s the perfect way to start off the week and you can see it all right here in the full gallery.

From Shaun Menary Photography Liz and Brian were married on September 29 against a breathtaking Texas Hill Country backdrop. The entire wedding day, from prep to party, unfolded on the grounds of a working organic farm in Wimberley, Texas. Once you meet this couple, you realize just how perfect this venue was for them! They are true environmentalists and love all things local, organic and sustainable. They forewent traditional wedding fare for vegan cuisine catered by East Side Kings food truck, and the bar was stocked with Austin-brewed beer and hard cider. And the invitations! Those were designed not only with the couple’s love of the outdoors in mind, but also their budget; the envelopes were off-the-shelf craft paper bags sealed with a personalized sticker and posted with vintage stamps from Ebay! The most charming element, however, was the Wall-E and Eve duo perched atop the wedding cake.

The bride also values family relationships and has a particular affinity for family heirlooms. Her veil was originally her mother’s, and Liz had it shortened for her own wedding day. The delicate leaf necklace had been melted down and molded from her grandparents’ wedding rings, and her pearl earrings were a friend’s family heirloom and also Liz’s something borrowed.

The centerpieces were created with flowers from the Austin farmer’s market. Liz purchased bucketfuls of wildflowers, and her mother and friends arranged them into stunning bouquets and displayed them in glass mason jars. The DIY wedding favors were more mason jars stuffed with wildflower seeds, peanut packets and Mentos.

Liz and Brian were so laid-back and extremely fun to photograph, and their DIY wedding was nothing short of incredible. It was beautiful reflection of their personal values and their love for each other, and that was a wonderful celebration to be a part of!
