Inspired by her dashing, English Groom, this beautiful Bride dreamt up the loveliest of tea parties for her big day, and with the help of Jennifer Laura Design every little detail of their day is just as darling as they come. It’s classic tea party with a bit of whimsy and love thrown in for good measure, and thanks to all the gorgeous images captured by Elissa R Photography, you can get lost in all the lovely here.

From Jennifer Laura Design…The groom Pete is from England so the bride wanted an English tea party vibe, but with lots of unique details and some whimsy added in for good measure. As involved as I was with a lot of the design details that went into this wedding, the bride and groom were just as involved (which I love!!) They created the lacey outdoor lanterns, the photo booth, as well as hand crafting and hand cutting each and every save-the-date! The bride also wanted to DIY her own florals- so we ordered from a wholesaler (huge money saver!) and the bride Erin, her family and friends crafted all of the centerpieces and herb bundles (rosemary and lavender) while I took on some of the trickier components like the bouquets. Erin really wanted her wedding to have a scent memory so we used rosemary and lavender everywhere we could think of- we hung it from rafters, tied to chairs, and incorporated it into every centerpiece. The scent was amazing!

I can’t imagine a couple who wouldn’t love to have a few photos like these with their sweetheart! Mustard Seed Photography shot an e-session with this (adorable!) couple on the soon-to-be groom’s private ranch and the outcome was just perfect-carefree and sweet with a vintage flare! Be sure to take a peek at the beautiful film and the rest of the images in the gallery!

From Mustard Seed Photography… Our couple, Megan and Shea, will be tying the knot next March, and for their engagements, they put together the most beautiful setting! The backdrop for our photos was the groom’s awesome private ranch in Huntsville, Texas, complete with a vineyard, creek and incredible fields! To add an extra little touch, the bride and groom rented some beautiful vintage props from Recollection Vintage in Houston. Between the bike, the couch, the creek and the gorgeous couple, we were swooning from the moment we arrived. :) We not only did photography for these two love birds, we also made an off-the-cuff engagement video. It highlights not only their playful attitudes, but also the gorgeous location!
From the Bride-to-Be… I wanted our photos to scream vintage and romantic glamour — I love anything vintage! To me, vintage has romance written all over it. :) I knew putting the two together would make for amazing pictures. And although I like the softness of vintage, I still like being a glamour girl and dressing up. And that’s how our wedding will be: romantic and glamourous!

No matter how jam-packed a wedding is with adorable details, gorgeous flowers and the like there is one thing that makes us fall faster and harder than any of these tangible bits and bobbles; the love. And the sweet, sweet, whole hearted love that shines through in each photograph from Mustard Seed Photography is skyrocketing this Texas shindig right onto our favorites list. See the whole pretty day right here!

From the bride… We originally wanted to have a beach wedding in Mexico, but it just wasn’t going to be possible because all of our immediate family members wouldn’t be able to attend. So we opted for the next best thing, the location where we had our first date — a hiking trip through Huntsville State Park. The Raven Lodge is a quaint little place looking over the lake with LOTS of character. We wanted to keep it small and intimate, so this was the perfect place for us. I designed everything myself as this was definitely a budget/DIY wedding. I found my dress online on clearance for only $99, so I took it to a seamstress to add lace cap sleeves and a sweetheart neckline to give it a more personalized look. I opted for dried flowers instead of real ones so I could save them to use in our home. I did lots of shopping at thrift stores and resale shops to find vintage glass bottles/rustic decor, and I made all of our banners, cards, signs, and invitations myself (I even made my daughter’s headband/flowers on her dress). We also cut out cost by having family members make all the desserts, and I made customized cards for each one to make sure they got credit for their yummy creation.
All in all, we had a lot of fun planning. And to any brides out there that think there is no way they can plan a wedding in three months – I PROMISE that you can! And I highly recommend choosing things such as colors and décor that will match your home, so nothing goes to waste. With a little help with family and online resources, you can DIY and save lots of money. :)
