Romantic Dairy Farm Wedding

The Fearrington House might be my new favorite place in the world to say I do.  And when I say it “might,” I mean that it totally is.  Dairy farm meets classic beauty, it’s the perfect place to celebrate romantic nuptials just like this one: a day filled to the brim with lace, rustic meets gorgeous details and one breathtaking moment after another captured by Krystal Kast.  Get your pretty on right here.

From Krystal Kast Photography… Meg and Nick met in Washington DC and, after dating for two years, they moved to North Carolina for graduate school at UNC Chapel Hill. The weekend before they started school, they we went to dinner at Fearrington. After dinner, they passed a wedding reception at the Fearrington Barn and sneaked a peek inside. Meg whispered to her mom, “I am going to get married here!” The next summer, Nick proposed to her on top of a mountain while they were vacationing in western North Carolina. They knew right away that they would be saying their vows in the Fearrington gardens.

From The Bride… Nick and I wanted our wedding day to be simple and relaxing (as relaxing as your wedding day can be…) with a small group of our closest family and friends. We looked for ways we could add small personal touches throughout. We designed and printed our save the dates, invites, and thank you cards. They reflected the simplicity and rustic feel we wanted for our day. My sister designed our monogram for the invites, which we also printed on labels for our welcome bags. We designed and printed our own wedding weekend crossword puzzle and newsletter with directions, restaurant and shopping recommendations, and travel info to include for our guests. We opted not to have attendants, and instead found ways to include our parents and siblings into other aspects of our ceremony. We asked our 65 guests to pass our rings to bless them during the ceremony so everyone could be included. For cocktail hour, we pulled dozens of old childhood pictures from albums, reprinted them and strung them between two vintage ladders with clothespins along with our seating arrangements. It created a really fun centerpiece to complement the surrounding gardens and pastures. Instead of a more formal plated dinner, we worked with Fearrington to create an amazing reception menu (including our favorite, Carolina pork bbq) that allowed us to mingle with all of our guests before we started the dance party. We were so happy to have created such a comfortable, relaxing atmosphere where we could really enjoy every moment of our wedding!

Vintage Pittsboro, North Carolina Wedding

This bride is my wedding soul sister. Every single image from Caroline Lima Photography took my breath away and I couldn’t help but think “this is my dream wedding” over and over again. Set at the beautiful Fearrington Village, the elegant soiree was nothing short of perfect.

From the photographer… When I asked the bride about the color palette of the wedding, she told me she was going to have lots of beige and white because she did not like saturated colors very much. Since the bride didn’t want a lot of flowers, the florist Mary Stevens, did an amazing job creating centerpieces and bouquets with lots of greeneries. The centerpieces were all different from each other and we could find succulents inside of glass jars, bird nests, vintage vases and a lot more beautiful pieces that added a rustic and elegant touch to the wedding.

Christina goal was to look vintage and she was stunning! She wore a watch that her grandfather gave to her grandmother in 1948. On the back of the watch it was engraved “Fully to Pat 7-24-1948″

Instead of high heels, she wore french style shoes, so unique! Her lace dress was gorgeous and the flower girls were adorable triplets! It was a very warm day, it rained a little bit and we got to use these cute black and white umbrellas on some photos!

Fearrington House Wedding from Krystal Kast Photography

Brought to us by Krystal Kast Photography this The Fearrington House wedding is one part southern charm, one part antique elegance, and 100% gorgeous. This sweet-as-can-be couple brought their loved ones together in North Carolina to celebrate their union in true vintage style. Filled to the brim with beautiful blooms and pretty pops of purple and pink, their event was DIY done right. The bride crafted tons of the adorable details herself and you can see every last lovely bit and bobble right here in the gallery.

From Krystal Kast Photography … I am thrilled to share this elegant garden wedding with you! I first met Carrie and Nick in August of 2011 and instantly fell in love with this couple. Not only were they genuinely smitten with each other, Carrie had an amazing talent for scouting out antiques and crafting. With this combination, I knew their wedding would be spectacular and Carrie and Nick extended true Southern hospitality at its finest!!! Indeed, the wedding day showcased their many talents and love for each other as well as the love for their family and friends. The details were so thoughtfully put together with heirloom antiques as well as vintage details that Carrie and her mother collected just for the event. They collected over 175 vintage plates for their 3 course dinner at the reception!
