Sandy shores set the scene for this stunning Cape Cod fete, that perfectly blends a nautical color palette and rustic accents (that the Bride DIY’d herself!) with a traditional elegance that makes these nuptials completely timeless. (The Bride and Groom also happen to look picture perfect in every one of Summer Street Photography‘s shots.) Check out the full gallery here for the rest!

From the Bride… After 6 years of dating Dave and I got married at Ocean Edge Resort in Brewster, MA on a hot, humid September day. Surrounded by close family and friends, we were married by my godfather in an intimate beachside ceremony.
I did all the planning and decorating myself, attempting to achieve a rustic beach feel with baby’s breath, blue hydrangeas, and burlap accents. The Bridesmaids wore the dresses of their choice in a color and designer of my choice- we wanted to look back on our wedding pictures and be able to capture the unique personalities of our bridal party.
Summer Street Photography made us feel at ease and gave us just enough direction to snap some incredible pictures. We look back on our day and see such so much happiness, it was a truly magical day!

I’m fighting every urge in my body to let the girly “oh my gods” gush out of me right now. This wedding, from Lauren Methia Photography, has done it. The couple, the flowers from Winston Flowers, the beautiful sunset on the beach, the colors… it’s brought out my inner wedding nerd, and I’m loving it. Everything is so beyond perfect, it’s kind of ridiculous.
From the Bride and Groom… We met and fell in love as students at Tufts University. After six years of creating wonderful memories together, from study sessions in the library to weekend getaways exploring new cities, we were both excited to get married and start our life together as husband and wife. Greater Boston has been home to both of us for many years, our dream was to get married within Massachusetts, in a venue that would be a fun and memorable retreat for our friends and family traveling from all over the world to celebrate our special day. After visiting Ocean Edge Resort & Golf Club in Cape Cod, we knew that it was the perfect venue for beach-loving souls like us.
True to our heritage, our wedding was performed in customary Hindu style with elements of Western culture interspersed within. The wedding was held on the Mansion’s front lawn, followed by cocktails on the terrace overlooking the ocean, and the reception in the ballroom. Indian weddings are large, full of color, and particularly busy, and our wedding was no different. It was exciting to see the long hours and months of planning culminate so beautifully in a day we’ll remember forever. The ballroom decor, by Winston Flowers, was especially amazing. Lauren Methia Photography was not only able to prepare extensively for the weekend and capture it beautifully, but was also adept at adjusting on the fly with ease to overcome changes in the itinerary seamlessly. Lauren’s attention to detail and talent was a source of comfort to us, not only during the wedding weekend, but also the entire planning process.

From Shane Godfrey… Lauren and Greg both live in Manhattan and were coming up to Brewster, Massachusetts for their wedding at the incredibly beautiful Ocean Edge Resort. After finding me on the web, and a phone conversation, they hired me on the spot. Lauren knew exactly what she was looking for in her vendors. Both she and Greg met at work at an ad agency in New York City, and they seemed to have an amazing understanding of each other and what they are both looking to get out of life.
Both the girls and guys got ready on site at the Ocean Edge Resort and after some getting ready photos, headed down to the beach on a hot day in July where most people were shoeless and where a hundred or so chairs were set up facing towards the water during low tide. The ceremony was short and sweet, followed by photos of the family, bridal party, and bride and groom right down on the water. Afterwards we headed up to cocktail hour off the beach and deeper into Ocean Edge Resort’s grounds at the Links Pavilion followed by the beach themed reception.
