From Jacqui Cole… Coley and Matt’s engagement session was perfectly intimate and natural. They decided to roam around their hometown of St Pete, FL for their session. We started the session at the historic Vinoy Renaissance, where their mini golden doodle made a wonderful appearance! As the sun set over the harbor we made our way out onto the docks where Coley and Matt released their balloons. Coley’s impeccable sense of style, paired with their natural connection turned out so beautiful on film!
From the beautiful Bride-to-be… Matt and I have known each other for years, it was only a matter of the right timing till acquaintances became sparks, and sparks quickly became love. Not even a year went by before he was down on one knee, with our dog by our side, and he was asking for my hand in marriage.
For the engagement session I knew I wanted it to be near our wedding site, but in an area where we won’t be able to catch on our wedding day. We’re getting married at the St. Pete Museum of Fine Arts this coming October. Since I love photos that include greenery and nature, the hidden backdrops of St. Pete were perfect! When choosing what to wear for the session it wasn’t too hard for me – I love dresses, I mean loveee dresses. So being in anything other than that would just be uncomfortable so I picked outfits that made me feel pretty and most of all comfortable. As nervous as I was, I couldn’t believe how much our photographer eased our nerves. It was actually fun and i never expected that! I would definitely advise all the brides-to-be who are waiting for the engagement session to just take a deep breath and trust your photographer. You can plan all you want in your head, but ultimately, they are the one catching the shots. So be comfortable, laugh as much as you can, and be yourself.
When planning our wedding I think finding the right planner was key. They will direct you to the best connections they have. If you trust your planner, they will make sure to trust their recommended vendors. It will always be a win win! I’m so excited for the big day and walking down the isle in a dress I’m obsessed with to marry the man I keep falling more and more in love with everyday. It all seems so surreal still.

This garden soiree from K and K Photography is romantic right down to it’s very core. The Bride’s story says it all. A long distance love affair, a handwritten poem proposal and touches of Shakespeare led to a gorgeous day filled with pure love. Get your swoon on in the gallery.
From the beautiful Bride… I am about to graduate my residency in Pediatrics at the University of Florida and move to St. Louis for a fellowship in Pediatric Allergy. My (now) husband lives in St. Louis where he is a high school science teacher. We first met eight years ago in Belize during a medical trip but did not start dating until much later. Because of our mutual love of poetry and the fact that we have been long distance all this time, writing each other poems is how we grew to be good friends and eventually start dating. Tim proposed to me with a poem that he had written (which I should have seen coming, but it was a total surprise!). Because of our passion for poetry/books/reading, we decided to incorporate this into our wedding by having our friends read some of our favorite passages from novels and poems at the ceremony. Also, chess is a significant part of Tim’s life (he has a king piece tattooed on his arm!) so we decided to also include some touches of chess here and there. We included images of the king/queen on our invitation, Tim’s boutonniere had the king chess piece while my bouquet had the queen chess piece, all the groomsmen’s boutonnieres had the knight, our favors were a chocolate king piece and a white chocolate queen piece with a tag reading “you move me”. We did a lot of DIY projects because my mom and I enjoy them so much. She cut out a book in which our rings were displayed and she made the cut out of the man and woman holding hands to represent us (him an english book, me a persian book). I made the table numbers by printing on pages of Romeo and Juliet from an old Shakespeare book. All in all, we simply wanted a romantic and poetic feel to the wedding in a way that represented our love and passions.

This wedding goes beyond the standard gorgeous fare. The pretty pastel florals by Iza’s Flowers or the glamorous details by Special Moments are all making an appearance. But what really strikes a cord is that all those pretty moments were planned by the Bride-to-be while her love was deployed over seas. And the culmination of all that love and planning and waiting is so, so sweet. Have a look at all the imagery by Captured Photography By Jenny right here.

Nick and Candi’s wedding was a celebration of their love. Nick has been deployed 3 times since their relationship began. Candi did a lot of the wedding planning and organizing while Nick was over seas. They couldn’t wait to get married to each other with their closest family and friends.

I’ve never met Andi Mans in person, but I am fairly certain we would be besties. That’s a knowledge that comes with the years and years I have spent getting to know her and her amazing work, and loving every last second of her heart and creativity. In other words, she’s a lady that really understands (and loves) weddings… and this pretty party she captured on her very own birthday is a prime example of just how awesome her work can be. It’s romantic stylings meets lush blooms by Josey Posey meets all kinds of St. Petersburg pretty. See it all in the full gallery.
From Andi Mans Photography… This beautiful day landed on my birthday! Yes, some might say “you worked on your birthday?!” But honestly, I love what I do and it’s a wedding… I love my brides! I had such a good time and my day was filled with so much love! Beautiful bride Leslie and her bridesmaids even sang “Happy Birthday” to me, it was SO sweet! I traveled to the west coast of Florida to St. Petersburg at the beautiful Vinoy resort. The two are now residing in Hawaii because Chris the groom is in the Army, nice location, eh? Both Chris and Leslie are from Florida and had their closest friends and family attend, it was filled with big smiles, fun dancing and love all around. Enjoy!
