Orlando Engagement Session from Kelian Photography

Two things: I now need a zebra umbrella before my life can feel complete and a copy of I Married Adventure with that signature zebra cover. It’s a zebra thing and a way too cute to pass up thing. And this Orlando engagement shot by Kelian Photography has all of that plus a really sweet couple. This twosome clearly shares my love for those black and white striped animals and a love for each other which shines bright in every single one of these images. Have a look here for more.

Orlando Wedding from E. Gilbert Photography

As we send you off into the weekend, it only seems right to leave you with a wedding so pretty, it quite possibly could take you all weekend to devour it. One full of things that leave us gushing time and time again – stripes, peonies, a gorgeous nautical feel – it has literally everything we can’t get enough of at SMP Florida. And it’s all beautifully captured by E. Gilbert Photography – so be sure to set aside this weekend to soak in all the lovely right here.

From the Bride…Just a little background: we met through Chris’s groomsman Tyler who introduced us at Reinhardt my first week of college. We stayed friends for a while because I was dating someone else at the time. But by the time that ended and we decided to finally try and go on our official first date, we both just knew we would be together forever. He took me to Turner Field for my first ever baseball game! We have been together for four years now and visit Disney together at least once a year because we just love it so much! Our inspiration for the wedding came from our one of our trips to Disney. It was my first time staying at the Boardwalk Villas and I instantly fell in love with the area. I knew that if we decided to go the Disney route for the wedding I wanted to get married there. We love Disney but we also wanted something that felt like us. A retro boardwalk theme really clicked with us for the wedding.

I was excited to plan our wedding since I currently work at the Hilton Marietta Hotel as their Business Development Manager working with brides on their rehearsal dinners/ showers and small weddings, so the planning process was really exciting for me. Chris had a BIG part in the planning process as well. He got to put his Graphic Design degree to the test! He designed all of our stationary using Photoshop. We uploaded his designs into vistaprint and ordered everything from them. He designed the invites, brochure we included in our welcome baskets, our programs, and logo stickers, and we also made personalized menus for our welcome dinner we had the night before the wedding. We rented the guys outfits from Savvi. My dress was designed by Martina Liana and I purchased it in Roswell, Georgia at A Formal Affair. We purchased the girls’ dresses there as well.  The girls jewelry is Ralph Lauren. My sash was purchased from Glamour House on Etsy. Our shoes were Toms. The guys had Bass sneakers & the dads had Sperry lace ups.

Our floral was done by Disney and so was the food. The violinist at our ceremony was provided by them as well. I worked closely with Rosie our florist. We used a lot of pink Peony, white hydrangea, and white and pink roses to accomplish the look we wanted. We also incorporated old Coke bottles and mason jars as our centerpieces at the reception. To tie in the boardwalk theme we gave guests cinnamon toast popcorn at the ceremony provided by Chris’s brother Andy and his wife Jennifer who have their own business, Cartwright’s Popcorn. We also gave our guests welcome baskets that included vintage Coke bottles, salt water taffy, and pretzels to keep the theme going. Our hair and makeup team came from M3. Our videographer was from Reminisce Productions. Our cake was gluten free and dairy free from Babycakes in Downtown Disney because I have severe allergies to both gluten and dairy.

Orlando, Florida Wedding at Cypress Grove Estate House from Amalie Orrange Photography

One thing we know for certain: Amalie Orrange Photography really knows how to take a pretty picture. Pretty pictures filled to the brim with the loveliest of details and the sweetest smiles you will ever see.  But that’s kind of how it goes when you happen to be an oh-so-talented photog whose clients are some of the cutest and most talented bunch of bride and grooms we’ve ever had the privilege to virtually meet.  And when those aforementioned clients throw a wedding featuring fab DIY details and the loveliest of cakes from The Sugar Suite? It’s what we call an uber-awesome Monday.  See it all in the full gallery.

From Amalie Orrange PhotographyLaurin & Katie got married at the gorgeous Cypress Grove Estate House in Orlando. This is a beautiful plantation style venue with a true Southern charm. Katie had about 20 friends and family setting up all of the cute DIY details that she had made and collected. There was a touches of pink everywhere from the gorgeous peonies, the candy bar and the darling flower girl’s tulle dress.

From the Bride… Laurin was a DJ out one night at local club, I was on the other side club with a friend. He came up next to me to order a drink. He tried to talk to me and turned around. Who would have know we would run into each other again a month later at an event. We ended up talking and I gave him my number, and the rest is history.

One night, I came home from work and opened the front door to rose petals everywhere and our song blaring. There was a glass of red wine waiting and petals leading to the backyard. He was sitting with our dog, Oliver (who was in our wedding). He had poured a glass of wine for me, had macaroons, and a sweet card. Once he gave his speech he gave me the ring, and I said yes! Then Laurin got our salad bowl filled with ice and champagne out from the bushes. So sweet!

Cypress Grove Estate House Wedding from Bumby Photography

When two cuties as adorable as this tie the knot in a classic meets preppy soiree, magical things are just bound to happen.  Like an uber-stunning Cypress Grove Estate House affair filled to the brim with heartwarming moments and beyond whimsical touches.  I’m talking lush florals from Blossoms Orlando, a yummy cake from The Sugar Suite and a fab Lula Kate gown from Bella Bridesmaid.  It’s enough to make any wedding lover’s Friday (or entire week, for that matter) and you can see it all captured by Bumby Photography in the full gallery.

From Bumby PhotographyKatie & Burns tied the knot at the romantic Cypress Grove Estate House. Their ceremony took place at the gazebo facing the lake which made for such a beautiful and lovely backdrop. Katie & Burns’ style was incorporated into each little detail of which perfectly displayed who they are as a couple. From croquet in the lawn to embroidered shirts and navy suits for the boys to the perfect little green dresses for the girls. Burns looked handsome and Katie was stunning.

One unique detail, or I should say moment of the day, was when Katie said she wanted to do a first look with her dad. I have done several couples first looks but this was my first, first look between a father and his little girl. I always say you find me every now and then hiding behind my camera to hide a tear. This was one of those moments for me. It was so sweet. Katie and her father have such a sweet close relationship. He was there running around setting up and picking up things and made sure her day was perfect. It was the sweetest thing. He followed us around during all portraits before and after the ceremony, and helped with holding her bouquet and her drink.

Katie & Burns truly have two of the coolest families. I had the honor of having lunch with them and their mothers and Katie’s brothers before the wedding and they are so much fun and such a loving and supportive family. I just love all their sweet, silly and positive personalities.

Cultural Indian Wedding from Shutter Life Productions

This wedding?  It will seriously take your breath away.  No, I am not being hyperbolic… for a brief moment, you will not be able to breathe.  Why you ask?  Well, because this is the kind of wedding that infuses breathtaking cultural traditions with rich, colorful details and sooo many heartwarming moments, you’ll just feel HAPPY.  And in my humble opinion?  Well, that’s the best kind of wedding.  See every ounce of pretty captured by Shutter Life Productions in the full gallery.

And a stunning film from Snap and Play to send you off into the weekend… Enjoy, lovelies.

From Shutter Life Productions… We were so excited to spend a few days with Amrita and Sandeep for their Indian wedding! You could not spend time with a more warm, hospitable family, and the colors and traditions were so much fun! We started out with Amrita’s Mehndi party where she got all of her Henna done for the wedding. My favorite part was seeing the Henna artist put Sandeep’s name in a secret location on Amrita’s hands, for Sandeep to search for later. The next night we attended the reception where both sets of parents put beautiful bangles on Amrita’s wrists. There was wonderful food, dancing, and tons of joy! Amrita looked incredible in her forest green gown.

When their wedding day came around, I was in Indian Princess heaven! Sandeep arrived majestically on a gorgeous white horse! For the ceremony, Amrita was wearing the most beautiful red bridal outfit imaginable, and she designed it herself. She also designed the hot pink detailed saris for the bridesmaids! I loved when the bridesmaids had to steal Sandeep’s shoes from him before the ceremony! They were so proud! The ceremony was a time of joy, with everyone sitting on the floor watching with love and adoration.

After the ceremony, we headed over to Amrita’s family’s house for a few more traditions before the reception. Sandeep had to negotiate a price with the bridesmaids to enter her house and get her! When he finally had the right amount, he was allowed to cut the ribbon and enter. Before the reception began, it was time for Amrita to change into the most incredible, gorgeous white Indian bridal gown. She also had a new set of stunning jewelry that we were all swooning over! The night was gorgeous and filled with a surprise choreographed dance from the couple, amazing speeches, and a ridiculously fun dance party. Amrita is one of the most genuinely loving and beautiful people that we know, a true princess, and Sandeep was nothing short of her Prince!

Spanish Inn Inspiration Shoot from Amalie Orrange Photography

Inspired by the Spanish tile around the Mission Inn, this shoot is simply prettiness defined dreamt up by one amazing team of vendors. With it’s vibrant color palette, perfectly placed details by Mobella Events, florals that will make your heart swoon from Lee Forrest Design, escort cookies (how fabulous is that?!) from Cookie Cousins, stylish stationery from 5 Thirteen Designs and a cake from The Sugar Suite you’ll be pinning the second you see it – it goes without saying, this shoot snapped up by the talented Amalie Orrange Photography is one fabulous way to spend your day. Do so here.

And don’t miss the behind the scenes look into the lovely from  Imprint Cinema

From Bonnie from Mobella EventsThe shoot was inspired by a Spanish tile from the venue where we did the photo shoot, Mission Inn. We took the elements of a tile – pattern, bright colors & culture and created a modern look with it.

Overall the bright colors and overall fresh feel made this shoot. It is so hard to choose one detail that we loved, I would say the tile with wrap around menu and cookie escort cards were my favorite. They were innovative and something that I feel guest’s would remember after an event.
