Vintage Glamour at the Boca Raton Resort & Club

Gold is our mascot, so to speak, and mixed with the pink facade of the Boca Raton Resort & Club , it’s nothing short of stunning. Captured by Kat Braman Photography, this winter glam affair with a six foot moss monogram, a reception sparkling with candlelight and a sea of white florals by Boca By Design and Desiree Dawn Events. Check out the gallery for even more and the film by Shaina Koren below.

From Kat Braman PhotographyMorgan and Stephen have known each other since they were 15 and have dated since they were 19. Because they grew up loving each other, they and their families have looked forward to this day for many years.

We drew our wedding inspiration from all different sources of mixed metals. From home interiors, place settings, industrial layouts, gilded objects, to gold dipped leaves. We knew from the beginning we wanted an elegant, sophisticated, and timeless wedding. Our dear friend and wedding planner extraordinaire, Desiree Oftedel of Desiree Dawn Events, influenced our special day with unique ways to personalize each detail and to bring vintage pieces in to our modern palette. She sourced all different sized and shaped mirrors and we used them throughout our decor to bring in a modern reflective element. We wanted to incorporate the beautiful Florida nature that the Boca Raton Resort had to offer so we chose design elements that used greenery and foliage to honor that. We used a stunning 6-foot moss-covered “H” for our escort card display with guests names written on to unique shaped mirrors that could also double as tree ornaments (Stephen proposed using a Christmas tree ornament!). We used large palm frawns to flank the bars so our out-of-town guests made sure to enjoy our favorite local foliage. We had signature cocktails, reflective of the bride and groom’s tastes, a cuba libre for him and a champagne cocktail for her. Desiree even had a few tricks up her sleeve, including a surprise jacket change for the handsome groom to compliment his new bride’s second dress and to get the party started. And since we have a house divided, our personal place cards were accompanied by a tiny silver Seminole and Gator and the descriptives, “His Gator” and “Her Nole”.

We planned our wedding with our sweet friend and incredible design leading light, Desiree of Desiree Dawn Events. She made the whole process a dream, bringing in the most talented team of vendors and putting our minds at ease. The best part of our day was knowing that we had nothing to worry about except enjoying and savoring every single moment.

Romantic Pink Boca Raton Wedding

Can I just say, a pretty pink destination (ahemBoca Raton Resort) as the backdrop makes for some seriously gorgeous bridal portraits. It’s true. Layer on the beautiful architecture, a talented gal like Captured By Jen behind the lens and the sweetest Bride and Groom, and we’ve got ourselves a romantic-as-ever soiree. Dotted with palms, this gallery is tropical lovin’ drenched in elegance.

From the beautiful Bride…Greg and I were engaged over Thanksgiving while we were vacationing in New York City with his family. We are both big fans of the outdoors so he picked a quiet spot in Central Park. I immediately began crying out of excitement but was able to squeeze out a “Yes” through the tears! Two days later I was at Kleinfeld’s bridal picking out my wedding dress. I love the simplicity and feminine touches of Romona Keveza’s dresses. The beaded belt was the final selling point for me.

I’ve moved around a lot (currently living in state number 6) and my family is spread all over the country. Greg grew up in Boca Raton and has an amazing (and big) family that all lives in South Florida. We immediately fell in love with the outdoor ceremony space at the Addison. The Banyan trees and the old architectural charms are truly unique and special. We booked a Saturday evening in Mid-March. The weather cooperated perfectly! There was not a cloud in the sky and there was the most amazing full moon at night.

The most important part of our wedding was the ceremony. It was incredibly personal and I do not think there was a dry eye in the house. We decided to have one of our good friends marry us. This was his first time officiating a wedding ceremony so he was a little nervous but it was the most perfect ceremony I could have ever asked for. We really wanted the ceremony to reflect who we are and the kind of marriage we hope to have. We wrote the entire ceremony ourselves and had our siblings read. We also wrote our own vows which was more emotional than I could have imagined!

We incorporated a lot of small details into the wedding from our friends and families. Greg’s great aunt said the most thoughtful prayer before dinner, our toasting flutes were a gift from the Best Man’s parents while they were living in India, I carried my Grandmother’s broach on my bouquet and I wore a veil that belonged to one of my bridesmaids from her wedding day.

Boca by Design did an outstanding job with the floral arrangements and décor. I must say this was the hardest decision for me to make. I loved the Addison for its innate beauty and did not want to take away from everything that I loved about the venue. Brett really understood my vision and absolutely blew me away with the final product.

Before the wedding Greg and I made a pact to spend as much of the evening together as possible. We tried to stay glued to each other throughout the evening so we could share all of the memories together. You always hear stories about all of the little details that can go wrong at weddings. Thanks to the wonderful staff and the Addison and our amazing wedding planner, Chasity Navarro, we had the most flawless night and it was more beautiful than we ever expected. It was the best night of my life!

Red Wedding Inspiration at Boca Raton Resort & Club

Inspiration like this from this beautiful set of images captured by Michelle March and dreamt up by Flutter Fete sends my head into a tailspin of pretty. It’s what I live for. With stunning (and I mean stunning) florals from Anthology Co. and a tablescape so pretty I could cry, every single thing sitting in this gallery is so pretty I could cry. See even more here.

From Michelle MarchI wanted to do my own take on romantic and vivid wedding ideas that gush intense passion in a colorful setting. The Boca Resort was the perfect canvas. With it’s Mediterranean flair, lush landscape and pink walls, it was calling my name. It’s Old World charm and European feel made it irresistible. I teamed up with Danielle, from Flutter Fete, because I knew she would capture my vision effortlessly. She truly did. The rest of the team was absolutely amazing. Everyone came together and the cohesiveness really shows. Lace, velvet, reds, golds. From the dramatic and vibrant florals (by Veronica from Anthology Co.), the whimsical and full of live paper goods (by Shannon Kirsten) and stunning rentals (from Love in Vintage) — the attention to detail was wonderful. Flutter Fete searched for the perfect little bits to complete the look. She found the vintage velvet bow tie on eBay and the vintage velvet ring box on Etsy. Both from vintage dealers. I think these inspirations are great year-round – it’s sophisticated, lovely and sweet.
