Celebrate Your Dream Day at Hotel Casa del Mar

In a perfect world, every wedding day would be filled with a little California sunshine. Think stunning beach ceremonies, partying the night away seaside and celebrating an entire weekend of FUN with your loved ones at Hotel Casa del Mar.  It’s a glam Santa Monica locale that knows everything about throwing your dream day with fab customer service and amazing amenities. Prepare to fall sooo in love.

Saying “I do” in The Golden State is always a good idea, but choosing a venue that boasts the ONLY ballroom in LA with beach views and natural light?  Even better.  From their crazy cool proximity to shopping, entertainment and night life (read: the Santa Monica Pier, the 3rd Street Promenade, Venice Beach… and more) to customizable menus from their team of ultra-talented Executive Chefs (yummy) to their luxurious accommodations,Hotel Casa del Mar is everything you’ve ever wanted for your Big Day… and more.  Not to mention their awesome fitness options (hello, surf lessons) and relaxing sea wellness spa, which is basically all you’ll ever need to unwind pre and post-wedding.  We love.

Whether you’re planning an intimate day with just your nearest and dearest or saying “I do” in a grand affair with 200 of your closest friends and family, contact Hotel Casa del Mar to begin your journey towards the perfect California wedding.  You’ll even receive a one bedroom suite when you book.  Sooo awesome… and we can’t wait to see the (seriously stunning) results.

Bow-Tie Inspired Santa Monica Wedding

These two have a contagious kind of love that’ll leave you with a swoon-y smile. As I laid out every happy-sprinkled image from Heidi Ryder Photography, I found myself embracing said ear-to-ear grin and sharing in their sweet celebration, even if only virtually. Every bow-tied detail, bloom and tree-hanging chandy is sure to fill your heart with joy. Visit the home of that joy, here in THE VAULT!

From Heidi Ryder Photography… Jeff and Tim are classy gentlemen, so it was fitting that the details of their wedding give a nod to the bow tie – a classic symbol of refined masculinity. They wanted their wedding to reflect their personality, to be inclusive of their loved ones, and to be a lot of fun! Their ceremony was beautiful and touching, with words of advice shared from close family and friends—there truly wasn’t a dry eye in the house. In lieu of cake they hired a local ice cream truck to dispense sweet treats, and they made sure their DJ brought the dance party. This wedding was a perfect reflection of this classy, in-love and fun couple.

Elegant Santa Monica Tiato Wedding

One part modern plus one part rustic equals a whole lot of pretty, in my book. Throw in the cutest bride and groom with a 12-year love story and you get a wedding worthy of a “Finally!” cake topper indeed. Elegant white blooms by Lilla Bello dressed up the day, and Honey Honey Photography is to thank for every last image. Head to THE VAULT and let’s get started.

From The Bride…My husband, Jonathan and I met during our freshman year in college. As I walked down the residence hall, we locked eyes when he yelled “You! I’m gonna write a song for you!” and we have been inseparable ever since. Our wedding was just like our almost 12 year relationship; a little whimsy, a whole lot of romance, and quite the adventure!

We wanted our guests to feel transported to a lush vineyard the moment they arrived. Our venue, Tiato, already had amazing, existing pieces; so we utilized their rustic carts as a gift table and water station, as well as their wine barrels as cocktail tables and place card display. Our phenomenal florist created floral installations that served as our ceremony and reception backdrops as well as a floral chandelier above our dessert bar. We hand-selected every detail from the vintage loveseats, cross back chairs, taupe and blush linens, down to the mercury glass votives to make sure we stayed true to our style.

Food was also of utmost importance and we wanted our guests to enjoy food as much as we do. We had Crustacean’s famous garlic noodles served in miniature take-out boxes and kobe beef pops as part of appetizers, a Bottega Louie dessert bar, and Carmela Ice Cream served some of their delectable ice cream as our night cap.

My advice to planning brides? Just like in any relationship, don’t sweat the small stuff! At the end of the day, it’s about you and your husband. Lastly, do not be afraid to think outside the box and have some fun. Instead of the “Wedding March” I walked down the aisle to Maxence Cyrin’s piano cover of the Pixies’ “Where Is My Mind” and in lieu of a signature cocktails sign, we opted for a picture of good ol’ Lionel Richie with the words “Open bar Lionel Richie Style…all night long!
