Spanish Elegance In Santa Barbara

I think I need to be friends with the couple behind this lovely wedding. Because at the top of their celebration wish list? An awesome dance party and great guacamole. Ummm, boom. Best wishlist ever. Photographed by Paperwhites Photography and planned by Nicole at The Green Ribbon Party Planning Co you can literally feel the fun poring out of each and every image. Click here for even more!

From Nicole Arena of The Green Ribbon Party Planning Co….Leighton and Tim came to me about eight months before their wedding. They cared about two things – having an awesome dance party and great guacamole! They were completely open to any ideas so we set about the task of assembling a dream team for them so they’d get exactly what they wanted.

For their ceremony they chose the First United Methodist Church, where a traditional mass was held. Their reception took place at the Santa Barbara Historical Museum, which is a charming space with beautiful adobe walls and a sun-bleached look. In keeping with this look, we wanted pretty, muted colors. Heather from Twig & Twine did an amazing job of bringing the space to life with gorgeous herbs in aged terra cotta vessels and some touches of peach and soft yellows. Apricots adorned each place setting and served as a tasting treat for guests when they first sat down.

SBB Gourmet Catering granted Tim’s wedding wish with a fun Mexican buffet and plenty of homemade guacamole. For dessert, guests indulged in a sweets table with delicious cakes and pies from Susiecakes, featuring the always delicious celebration cake .The dancing at this wedding was some of the best I have ever seen. DJ Hecktik from Gavin Roy Presents did a fantastic job of getting the guests on the dance floor.

All of the revelry was captured beautifully by Paperwhites Photography and videography by Run and Shoot Productions.

Classic Elegance Inspiration at the Santa Barbara Club

Classic weddings are my kryptonite. I adore their timeless style and swoon over their sentimental details. So if you happen to be a planning a wedding where tradition reigns supreme, this shoot beautifully captured by Patrick Moyer and designed by Armando Martinez of Alegria By Design will have you jumping for joy. It’s ridiculously perfect from start to finish, and you can see even more here.

From Armando Martinez For Alegria By Design …Our location and inspiration for this year’s “Spring Bride” shoot was the historic Santa Barbara Club. Formally established in 1892, it is the oldest Club in Santa Barbara and is believed to be the oldest social Club between San Francisco and Los Angeles. The two-story Edwardian clubhouse build in 1904 with its rich history and tradition offered the perfect backdrop to this year’s shoot, a nod to the neo-preppy.

For our girl it’s all about family, tradition and of course grandmother’s silver or perhaps an updated engagement ring crafted from a family heirloom. She always looks back for inspiration but is sure of her choices, stepping confidently towards the future. The updated classic is definitive, her signature look.

Santa Barbara Styled Engagement Shoot

A no-fuss, totally gorgeous styled engagement session in the heart of Santa Barbara is one concept I can totally get on board with.  So is the beauty prowess of Mar Romero of TEAM Hair & Makeup combined with a gallery of beautiful images captured by Laura Luis Photography.  That’s the epitome of a Monday evening spent wrapped up in pretty and you can every amazing moment right here.

From Laura Luis Photography… A laid-back, off-beat day in the quaint town of Santa Barbara with models Sindar Mimms and Natalia Barulich. Set against the tangerine saltillo tiles, ivy-covered shop fronts, and colorful alley-ways of Santa Barbara, Sindar & Natalia blend chemistry and whimsy into an editorial shoot focused on expression and rhythm of an engaged couple out and about in Santa Barbara. This is a shoot fashioned after a basic, no-fuss engagement session (no elaborate props).
