We’ll let Booth Photographics captures in The Vault convince you of the rest.
From Kelly Oshiro…Inspired by a modern couple, who loves both mid-century design and old world elegance, I created this contemporary wedding shoot for photographers Booth Photographics. For the bride, I pulled an elegant Delphine Manivet wedding pantsuit from Solstice Bride paired with handmade modernist jewelry from VLM Jewelry, and a sleek ponytail by Studio MMB. For our groom, a timeless white dinner jacket were paired with velvet loafers, all from The Black Tux. I also pulled designers sunglasses from Gogosha Optique for a few sleek and modern wedding portraits.
Ceremony was envisioned as an intimate elopement, held in front of the fireplace at Feynes Mansion, with understated ferns and geometric lanterns decorating the space. Dinner was setup on the beautiful balcony of the turn of the century mansion. Modern black and tan bentwood chairs from Yeah Rentals! Were paired with a gray velvet linen from La Tavola and the place setting was decidedly modern with marble plates from the Ark and a plated fig salad. Twig and Twine created a loose, organic arrangement in moody fall colors with smoke bush, chocolate cosmos and garden roses. Simple gold taper holders from CB2 held traditional bee’s wax candles. A simple tiered cake from Lele Patisserie was decorated with fall foliage and individual hyacinth blooms.

From CCL Weddings and Events… They say rain is always good luck on a wedding day, yet it always seems to give any couple a good scare. Luckily Ali and Matt embraced the scare of a little rain and decided to dance it out instead. Little did the couple know while planning their wedding seven months before that there would even be a small chance of rain for their May wedding.
Ali and Matt had always known that Pasadena would be the place they would tie the knot as it was the hometown of the bride. They checked out a few venues, but still were always led back to home. They chose the beautiful property of the Ambassador Mansion for the nuptials in front of 180 of their closest family and friends. It was an entirely outdoor location with a gorgeous garden, amazing architecture and a staircase for the grandest entrance of the bride. A ceremony where the couple was literally surrounded by their friends and family as they stood in the center on a bridge in a garden.
The couple wanted to make sure they added details about themselves throughout the wedding. As guests arrived they served pre-ceremony aguas frescas as a nod to the couple’s favorite beverage. A welcome nut station not only attracted their friends, but also the little critters from the garden.
From the ceremony, to the cocktail hour and reception, each event took place in its own space where the guests could experience different parts of the garden. Guests enjoyed appetizers and some of the couple’s favorite specialty drinks catered from Cynthia Brooks Catering during cocktail hour, while viewing the couple’s “Wall of Fame” of family photos. Their love for tea played a role in their escort cards for the guests as a “Plenty of Love” installation were filled with glass vials of the couple’s favorite tea leaves.
The reception was definitely the main event taking place under a tent frame with white draping and chandeliers above. The best part of it all was the live band from Soultones that played during the duration of the event and brought all the guests to their feet. It was the first time the bride had seen her now hubby dance, and it will definitely not be the last.

From The Bride…Ever since I was a little girl I have been envisioning the wedding I would once have. I knew I would have beautiful pink flowers, an amazing photographer, décor that would leave a lasting impression on my guests, etc. The only thing I couldn’t see was who I would pledge my love to for the rest of my life, that is until I met Victor. He set up a picture perfect proposal that I will never forget because these precious moments were beautifully documented by Koman Photography. As soon as I said yes, I couldn’t wait to start planning one of the biggest days in our lives. The first vendor we booked was the amazing photographers Koman Photography to capture the important day with a timeless and elegant feel. We then decided to choose August 9, 2015 as our date. We were excited to have a day and at the same time felt blessed to be married on the same day my grandparents did 50 years before us. For this reason, Victor and I really wanted to convey a timeless and elegant wedding that highlighted my grandma’s favorite era in memory of her. For this reason, we chose a beautiful mansion called the Ambassador Mansion and Gardens built in the 1900’s located in Pasadena, CA. Because of this we utilized pops of gold and Victorian elegance throughout the wedding décor. We put emphasis on these elements from getting ready to the reception. We used the garden that the owner of the mansion built for his wife as our ceremony cite and decorated with lush white flowers and greenery (he built this for her to have celebrations in). Our reception was held on the lawn with the mansion overlooking it underneath a white chiffon tent with hanging chandeliers. In the end, we wanted to leave a lasting impression on our guests of how important family is to us and really wanted our personalities to shine through the wedding décor.
