Pink peonies are always a winner, but toss in a breathtaking chapel and an adorable couple, and I’m absolutely swooning. Under the guidance of Orange Blossom Events and the floral magic of The Little Branch, this wedding had me begging for more. With Birds Of A Feather capturing every picture perfect moment, I’ll be going through this gallery again and again and again.

From Birds Of A Feather… Amy and Peter were inspired by the architecture of Lloyd Wright’s Wayfarer’s Chapel and built their wedding around the spectacular ceremony site. Peter, an architect himself, designed all the paper goods as an homage to the famed builder’s era, using both deco and arts and crafts motifs. Amy looked every inch the classic bride in a stunning 30′s inspired gown. Bright florals by The Little Branch accented the warm reception room at La Venta and guests danced the night away while taking in stunning views of the Pacific from every room.

From the Bride… From the minute we were engaged, we knew that we wanted to be married along one of Southern California’s sprawling shorelines, and when we toured La Venta Inn on a perfectly clear October afternoon, we knew that it was the place we wanted to start the rest of our lives together. With a sweeping view of Santa Monica bay and the entire city of Los Angeles behind the sloping green lawn, there aren’t many places as picturesque for a wedding. But on the day of, the sky was a drab gray, with fog covering most of the city skyline. I couldn’t help but think – of course we’re getting married on one of the city’s few cloudy days – but was determined to make the most of the day no matter what the weather brought.
Then, about 10 minutes before the ceremony began, the clouds dissipated and the clearest blue skies appeared, and the view we fell in love with was more beautiful than we’d ever seen. As my dad walked me down the aisle and I locked eyes with my husband to be, nothing else mattered. We had a short, intimate ceremony, exchanging vows we wrote and sealing love letters in a wine box to be opened a decade later. We sipped champaign, avoided smashing cake in each others faces, and laughed as hard as we ever have at our all of the heartfelt speeches. The city lights shined bright all night as our wedding guests helped us celebrate in style.
We had high expectations for our wedding and they were definitely exceeded above and beyond. The room was painted with candle light. The tables were lined with vintage burlap and lace runners, with blush and ivory florals sprinkled throughout the room. Our vendors took our vision and turned it into something so special, our wedding night was certainly the best night of our lives. I’m so grateful to have worked with each and every one of them, especially Sarah and Tim from Ryon:Lockhart Photography for capturing every single detail with such precision and magic.
Not many people can say they wouldn’t change a single detail of their wedding, but we were lucky enough to have the most perfect day. From Italy to Florida, friends and family visited from all over the world. It was a truly marvelous feeling to know that this was one of the only times in my life where everyone I loved would be in one room together. That feeling will stay with me forever.

From Figlewicz Photography… Everything about Diana and Pat’s wedding was so distinctly them. Their style is incredibly unique and absolutely amazing. It seemed as though everything in this wedding represented that cool and artsy side of Diana and Pat. It’s a whimsical, garden wedding that almost seemed like it was out of a fairytale. I don’t even know if they recognized it, but from our point of view, everything on the other side of the lens was gorgeous and unlike any other wedding we have shot. Obviously, every wedding is different, but there was something extremely captivating about Diana and Pat’s overall look that we have quite simply fallen in love with.
