In all it’s al fresco beauty, this affair beneath the wildly branching trees of Napa is wine country lover’s dream. And fittingly so, with a South African winemaker as the handsome Groom. They paired blushes, grays and emerald green for an unexpected and pleasant palette that complements every touch. onelove photography captured it all and this lovely little gallery is the result!

From the beautiful Bride…It was important to us as a couple for our wedding to be fun, light hearted, and full of love. We kept our guest list small, including just close friends and family, and did all of the planning together. We knew we wanted to honor Bertus’s South African heritage, have tons of great wine and food since we are both in the industry, and enjoy a night of dancing and laughing with all of our favorite people. Essentially, we wanted it to feel like a dinner party we would host with our friends, only slightly more glamourous.
When we started our planning process we knew we wanted to have our wedding in Napa, not only because it is an absolutely beautiful backdrop, but also because this is the place where we live, work, and where we fell in love. For our reception we decided to have one long farm table, so we could have a family style meal with large formats of wine. We dubbed it a “big bottle party” and hand selected each bottle from our favorite producers. We also wanted to play up the natural beauty of our venue by keeping our decorations simple. We were lucky to have the most wonderful vendors, friends, and family standing behind us.
Our only advice is to have fun with it, and if it ever starts to overwhelm you, grab a glass of wine.
Bertus is the winemaker for Regusci Winery, James Cole Winery, T-Vine Cellars and Tank Garage Winery.
