From the beautiful Bride… I couldn’t believe how fast the planning of our wedding went, after 16 months it was here! I was about to marry my best friend and love of my life and I had my girls by my side. It was the perfect morning and the perfect day. We had spend 4.5 years together and now we were going to vow to spend the rest of our lives together, to love each other unconditionally forever. It was the perfect day, every little detail in place. Without a cloud in the sky the gorgeous weather was just waiting to be enjoyed by all who chose to share this special day with us. As all my girls and I are getting ready, all I could think about was seeing my prince at the end of that aisle waiting for me. Then it was time, I walked out and I saw him. Waiting there, smiling and he even had those sweet little tears in his eyes. It was the best day and I wouldn’t change a thing.

A BIG thank you to our families, your love and support is truly inspiring. I want to thank everyone who helped us with our wedding. A special thanks to Delightful by Rochelle Wall. Her vision of all the small details (down to our amazing flowers and my beautiful bouquet) was everything I envisioned and more. We couldn’t have done it without her help planning, she was truly amazing.

Organically Curated Kindred-Style Ranch House Wedding

One of the things we preach on SMP is to always make your wedding your own. And this gorgeous, glowy, ridiculously joy filled bride and groom did just that. From the hymns chosen to the milk and cookies they served instead of the cake, every last detail allowed their story to unfold. And the photos by Anna Delores give us a perfect glimpse into all of the lovely. And there is more here!

Whimsical

From The Bride…The theme and decor for the wedding wasn’t really shaped around one idea in particular, since I am pretty indecisive. After a lot of changing my mind I decided I wanted to have a combination of decor ideas that reflected us as a couple, showed our love for Jesus, and included members of our family. Thanks to wonderful loved ones, we pulled off a DIY wedding that was extremely personal!

For the ceremony we had JJ’s uncle marry us, and two of our good friends sang one of my mom’s favorite hymns during communion. For reception decor I hoped for a neutral color palette, and we added navy blue (JJ’s favorite color) for accents. For the seating arrangements, we turned an alphabet song that JJ’s grandma taught him into the table assignments, and made each table correspond to the letter/verse of the song. We served milk & cookies for dessert because neither of us like cake, and we wanted something fun and whimiscal! I designed the paper goods and signage for the ceremony and reception, and Kindred did our wedding invitations.

JJ’s dad cut and made each birch candle holder for us. We added antlers from the family collection to pay homage to Idaho, where JJ is from. One of my friends, Jenna, did the floral arrangements, and her sister (Alexandra, co-founder of Kindred) designed our invitations. It was amazing to see everyone’s efforts come together to create the perfect setting with such special details!

The whole day was a whirlwind of intimate and memorable moments. Some of my favorites were our first look, taking pictures with our bridal party, and right when the barn door opened for me to walk down the aisle. The celebration of such a sacred union, combined with having everyone you love in one room, and seeing all of your hard work come together makes for one heck of a day. But the best days come after!

From the beautiful Bride… I wanted the wedding to be a “secret garden” theme. Both Michael and I are earth signs and love nature. We wanted to get married outdoors and were very inspired by the natural beauty of the gardens at Maravilla. We didn’t want anything too flashy or over the top. Which is why our color pallet was very muted with neutrals and whites. I would say my personal style for the wedding was ‘romantic.’ I had a Grecian influence and was drawn to delicate laces, vintage pieces and also anything bohemian. I wanted to have a timeless look that I would still love years down the road.

Additional Notes: Bride and Groom were married by a long time family friend. The cake was made by the Groom’s mother. Wedding signs were hand painted by the Bride’s sister. Also, the bride designed her own dress and Liza made the dress at her shop!

From Hazelnut PhotographyTwo people couldn’t be more in sync with one another. It seems they’ve been following each other for most of their lives. Now, they are next to one another, standing side by side, as they take on this new life adventure together! Michelle & Bryan went to rival high schools in Southern California, but didn’t meet until they both ended up at Penn for college. They’ve been together since their freshman year and finally tied the knot on Saturday!

These two, Michelle & Bryan, are so absolutely perfect for each other. Their wedding day will go down as one of my favorites, because it was so genuine. It seemed to be a perfect representation of them, as individuals and as a couple. They have a beautiful respect for one another, an immense love for their families and true admiration for their friends. It was an incredible day, full of love and laughter and I couldn’t be more thrilled for the two of them!

Rustic Camarillo Ranch Wedding

This, my friends, is what a rustic wonderland looks like: cowboy boots, mason jars and beautiful florals from Stella Bloom Designs all coming together to create an al fresco paradise of epic proportions.  It’s the brainchild of a fabulous event planner bride (of the amazing Wild Heart Events) and a team of stellar vendors that made it all happen.  See every gorgeous moment captured by Lavender & Twine right here.

And even more awesome from Mawwiage Films

From the Bride… When planning my wedding, I hoped for it to be romantic, fun, down home and pretty. And after seeing all the details come together, I can say that it was a perfect blend of all those adjectives. Homemade, rustic, magical and loving sums up my wedding day. Every last detail was handmade with love and it showed.

I wanted to combine blush tones and pops of teal to create the perfect early summer atmosphere. We kept our florals and linens soft and romantic while contrasting with miss-matched dishes and glassware. We wanted people to kick their boots off and stay awhile and encouraged them to do so by providing hay bale couches during cocktail hour, plenty of comfort food to eat and more than enough booze to go around.

All the little details and hours of crafting definitely paid off when we finally got to see it all together. Over 200 people danced into the early morning hours and even brought their trailers to camp for the night. There isn’t one detail I’d change about that perfect June day.
