Darlings, we’re staring the week off right. Everything about this sunny Maravilla Gardens soiree from Hazelnut Photography is sooo right. It’s a combination that I’ve come to call my very own dream wedding. Floral-robed ‘maids turned blush beauties, ivory bouquets dotted with peach from The Little Branch, signage galore and so much more. This stunner will surely brighten your Monday morn!
From Hazelnut Photography… Two people couldn’t be more in sync with one another. It seems they’ve been following each other for most of their lives. Now, they are next to one another, standing side by side, as they take on this new life adventure together! Michelle & Bryan went to rival high schools in Southern California, but didn’t meet until they both ended up at Penn for college. They’ve been together since their freshman year and finally tied the knot on Saturday!
These two, Michelle & Bryan, are so absolutely perfect for each other. Their wedding day will go down as one of my favorites, because it was so genuine. It seemed to be a perfect representation of them, as individuals and as a couple. They have a beautiful respect for one another, an immense love for their families and true admiration for their friends. It was an incredible day, full of love and laughter and I couldn’t be more thrilled for the two of them!

This, my friends, is what a rustic wonderland looks like: cowboy boots, mason jars and beautiful florals from Stella Bloom Designs all coming together to create an al fresco paradise of epic proportions. It’s the brainchild of a fabulous event planner bride (of the amazing Wild Heart Events) and a team of stellar vendors that made it all happen. See every gorgeous moment captured by Lavender & Twine right here.
And even more awesome from Mawwiage Films…
From the Bride… When planning my wedding, I hoped for it to be romantic, fun, down home and pretty. And after seeing all the details come together, I can say that it was a perfect blend of all those adjectives. Homemade, rustic, magical and loving sums up my wedding day. Every last detail was handmade with love and it showed.
I wanted to combine blush tones and pops of teal to create the perfect early summer atmosphere. We kept our florals and linens soft and romantic while contrasting with miss-matched dishes and glassware. We wanted people to kick their boots off and stay awhile and encouraged them to do so by providing hay bale couches during cocktail hour, plenty of comfort food to eat and more than enough booze to go around.
All the little details and hours of crafting definitely paid off when we finally got to see it all together. Over 200 people danced into the early morning hours and even brought their trailers to camp for the night. There isn’t one detail I’d change about that perfect June day.

When you have a lineup of vendors as sweet as onelove photography, Carly Rae Weddings and The Little Branch, the result is bound to be pure gorgeousness. Enter this al fresco fete at the beautiful Camarillo Ranch, filled to the brim with whimsy. It involves a vow coin toss, deliciously colorful florals and twinkling barn, and that’s just for starters. Don’t miss the happy film from Jennifer Ruiz!
From the beautiful Bride… Neil grew up in Washington and Liz grew up in Colorado and we both love the outdoors, so we chose a more rustic venue that felt more appropriate for us. We held our reception in a barn and chose BBQ for our food. We met watching football at a friend’s apartment, and we have a lot of fun playing in fantasy football leagues together, so we thought it would be fun to incorporate a little bit of that into our ceremony. We’re doing a coin toss to determine who says their vows first, and we’re using music from Friday Night Lights for our processional.
We also both love watching Jeopardy and going to bars for bar trivia, so we thought about ways to bring a little friendly competition into the wedding. Liz’s dad actually had the idea to turn the Parent’s Dance into a kind of “Name That Tune” medley where guests will compete to see who can name the most songs/artists that are featured in the dance.
Our favors were one of our favorite parts—Neil’s mom made 3 kinds of homemade jam and shipped boxes and boxes of them to us all the way from Washington as she made them. We also have so many creative and talented friends who helped us make our day special and personal. One of our good friends is a graphic designer, so she designed our invites and the jam labels. Another close friend is famous for his baking, so he made 6 different kinds of homemade desserts (all sorts of amazing treats—salted caramel butter bars, mini carrot cake cupcakes, pumpkin bars with white chocolate chips, orange marshmallows) – plus he made our wedding cake and a birthday cake for the Maid of Honor, Liz’s sister, since we got married on her birthday!
