Cozy Canada Winter Chateau Wedding

This cozy wedding warms my heart in a serious way – and, believe it or not – has me longing for those cold winter nights. Lynn Lee planned the charming affair complete with sleigh rides and hot chocolate favors, while Joel Bedford was there to capture every pretty detail (including the Bride’s fresh Full Bloom bouquet). Snuggle up in the gallery and just try not to crave a cup of cocoa. I dare you.

From The Bride…We knew that in choosing the Chateau Montebello as our winter destination wedding we had got the big things right- a charming rustic lodge for friends and family to meet and stay under one roof, excellent seasonal food, and a sense of place for Scott’s family who have a country home in the nearby village. But of course, weddings are a series of small details so we needed to sweat those too- enter Lynn Lee, our wedding planner. Lynn effortlessly wove all the details into a formal, classic, and meaningful wedding ceremony and reception- from sleigh rides to hot chocolate wedding favours- she surpassed all of our expectations. The highlight of her work was the dining room set in the Canada Room- three long elegant candle-lit tables with dozens of candelabras seating all 95 of our guests- breathtaking. Lynn helped us achieve what we had wanted all along for guests- a warm, special moment in the midst of a long, cold, dark winter. We must say even mother nature cooperated on our wedding day, delivering a sunny +3 degrees centigrade in late February but we suspect Lynn Lee might have had something to do with that too.

Stylish Quebec Wedding at Le Belvedere

It starts with the amazingly orange shoes and then, just when you think it can’t get any better, it does. In a big way. Seen through the lens of Joel Bedford, this wedding is simply stunning from start to finish – and will have you pinning the day away in this gorgeous gallery.

Event Venue

From Joel BedfordWe are so thrilled to have photographed Pam + Arjen’s jam-packed-family-filled-romantic wedding day. They are an absolutely beautiful couple with loving friends and relatives. The whole day was a whirlwind with one great photo opportunity presenting itself after another. Thank you for having us there!

From The Bride…A year in the making and I can’t believe that our wedding day has finally arrived. Today is the beginning of our story as I’m marrying my partner in crime, my best friend and my love. Who would have though, May 31/2014, a perfectly sunny day, 25 degree celsius… and there it was in all its glory. A perfect day in a dreamlike location; we couldn’t be happier. I designed the entire day myself and Grace executed my vision beautifully!

Suddenly, you realize that time is flying: he looks dashing in his grey suit and friends and family have gathered to celebrate us. I’m nervous but excited and so is he. Soon enough, the ceremony is over, the music starts and the guests are enjoying the scenery and delicious hors d’oeuvres. The truth is that there many blurs about our special day; everything happens so fast and when you blink, the night is over. Although you work at striving for perfection on your wedding day, the reality is that there are always small glitches. However, the irony is that the wedding is still perfect. Perfect because we were surrounded by love, laughter, joy and fun! Those are the memories Arjen and I hope to remember for the rest of our lives.

On May 31 2014, I married my partner in crime, my best friend and my love.

There isn’t a single image sitting in this gorgeous gallery from Valerie Busque Photography that I simply don’t adore. And I mean adore. From Valerie Busque Photography…Sometimes the beauty is in simplicity, as evidenced by this beautiful stripped atmosphere created by Valerie Busque photographer, in an old barn on l’îles d’Orleans, Rustic chic trend makes sense with wood accessories, whitewashed walls, lace dress and white palette enhanced by touches of cherry, strawberry and raspberry.

Montreal Engagement Session at Macdougall Manor

We adore engagement sessions around these parts. And when they are as adorable as this one from Junophoto, well then we flat out love them. From the fun prop styling to the cute-as-can be couple themselves, this gallery is simply as sweet as they come, and you can soak it all up right here.

From The Bride…Andy and I met a few years back when we were both starting our first student summer job. At the beginning, there were shared glances and shy smiles. But then, Andy managed to steal my phone number and that is how it all started. After a few dates, ice creams, the fifth Harry Potter, the first movie Transformers and Andy handing me a rose from a bended knee, I became his girlfriend.

That summer turned out to be the most magical and carefree summer of our lives.

For our engagement photo session, I wanted to recreate this whimsical and youthful atmosphere of when we first met. Camille, our photographer, has made this possible by creating pictures that are simple, yet incredibly joyful, luminous and romantic.

Outdoor Engagement Session at Atwater Market

Say the words “summer engagement session” and it’s like an amazing portal into the land of sunshine, waterside picnics and ice cream cones with your honey.  Basically everything this sweet e-sesh captured by Julia C. Vona of Junophoto happens to be.  It’s an adorable duo celebrating 10 years of happiness… and the anticipation of one seriously awesome wedding.  See it all in the full gallery.

From The Bride… We met through our student job in a restaurant back in 2003, became friends and started dating the following year. We’ve been together ever since, surviving the challenges inherent of long-distance dating (which we did for three years), and of juggling master’s and doctoral studies while working. Fred popped the big question in 2012 while hiking on a picturesque path. We asked Junophoto’s team to immortalize our engagement along the Lachine canal in Montreal, close to where we first moved in together. It was really meaningful to go back to a site full of memories of long walks, runs and time spent wining down on the grass, but this time with photographers who knew how to make us feel at ease! We also loved capturing on picture our stop at the Atwater market, where we treated ourselves with a delicious ice cream cone… always my favorite in the hot Montréal summer.

To represent our love of the outdoors, family traditions of DIY of all kinds, but also the chic and glam that comes with our Montreal life, a “rustic chic” wedding was the way to go for us. Planned in 2014 to mark our ten years together, we chose a venue in Quebec city to celebrate this very special moment in the region where we are both from. With the help of family members and friends, this day promises to be filled with joy and personal touches. In short, a wedding full of Mason jars, hand-made embroideries, burlap, wood slices, a S’mores bar to close the event, but, most importantly, a wedding full of love!
