It’s crazy to think that you could meet the love of your life at the ripe old age of six, but for these two sweeties that’s exactly what happened. And when that childhood crush (with diary entries to prove it!) turned into something more at their high school reunion, it was like it was always meant to be. See every last detail crafted by KA Wedding and captured by Catherine Giroux in the full gallery.
From KA Wedding… A unique love story, a happy couple, and a warm atmosphere, everything came together to make Jennifer and Marc-Alexis’ wedding an unforgettable day.
The story of Jennifer and Marc-Alexis is a fairy tale. They met when they were six years old! At that moment, they already felt something for each other. Jennifer was talking about Marc-Alexis in her diary when she was only seven (some of the pages were on display during the wedding). They lost contact after high school, but 10 years later they met during the school reunion. They never left each other again since that day. The wedding, organised by KA, absolutely represented the lovers. It was warm, joyful and classic. Candles, the colour orange, and the outside ceremony contributed to make this day a success. Details were highlighted. For example, the cake designer tailored the characters on top of the cake, golf balls identified places, and tables names represented memories of the newlyweds. Surprising fact: Tyra Banks approved the look of the groom before the ceremony.
Congratulations Jennifer and Marc-Alexis. Our best wishes!

We chat about style a lot on SMP, but I am always amazed when I come across a couple that just seems to have more style in their pinky finger than I have throughout my entire body. One look at this romantic, Montreal wedding captured by Isabelle Paille, and it was obvious this was just such a couple. From the top of their heads to the tip of their toes, they’ve got this style thing down, and it showed in every moment of their gorgeous day. See it all here.

From Isabelle Paille…Let me introduce you to Andre-Anne and Todd. She is french canadian from Montreal and Todd is from Toronto, Ontario. This blend of cultures, tastes, languages made this wedding one of the most magical one I had the chance to photograph. Andre-Ann is a fashion forward girl, and had a very clear idea in mind of what she wanted: an all Audrey Hepburn inspired kind of romance, with the lace, pink, roses and ranunculus, grey, velvet, pearls, candles, — and let’s not forget the hairstyle and mind blowing resemblance!– all of this in the most luxurious hotel in the city: Hotel St-James located in the old part of Montreal. A perfect blend, like they are, of romance and modernism. The event planning and Design was done by Blanc Events – in collaboration with Fleurs & Confetti for the flowers and the invitations – and the bilingual guest were treated to a bilingual very intimate ceremony, with texts from the Little Prince book that made everyone go awww, and were so in tune with their story. After the ceremony, guests were taken on a city bus tour while we were doing the couple pictures and then taken back to the cocktail. The day was a typical dark and rainy fall day, and both Andre-Anne and Todd were playful and joyful none the less and that made for authentic moody fall pictures too!

Get ready to have your socks charmed right off, because this fabulous fête captured by Junophoto is seriously adorable. And sweet. And beautiful. Right down to the core, everything sitting in this gallery is what weddings are all about, and that just makes me so incredibly happy. See why here.
From the Bride… Etienne and I think love and happiness grows by being shared and the idea of getting married was foremost a way to share this love and happiness we have been experiencing for the past eleven years together. We searched a long time for that perfect location for our wedding. We were looking for an intimate place in the middle of nature with a rustic feel. Cheshire lodge was the best place! We fell in love at first sight!
A good advice for couples preparing their wedding is to engage the people around you to help. It is incredible what people can do for the cause of LOVE! We gave a mission to every person that was interested in having one. Everybody around us took their mission very seriously and gave their all to please us. It was so beautiful and touching to see all of our close friends and family work towards that project for the whole year!
Etienne’s mother (Anita) and sister (Clara) were dedicated to the table setting. All of the wonderful flowers and herbs are from Anita’s garden. Clara had the brilliant idea to reuse the centerpieces as wedding favors (eco-friendly we like!) The bouquets and boutonnières were fastidiously made by Atelier Carmel. Practically, every aspects of our wedding was diy. We even wanted to prepare the food at one point, but decided to be realistic to the relief of our family. We wanted the meal to be vegetarian and Miss Prêt à manger was one of the only caterer in Montreal to satisfy our needs! Also, because we like cheese so much, my sister and brother in law prepared cheese platters to die for!
When it was time to choose the photographer, we opted for Juno photo. Wedding pictures can be easily cheesy, but Junophoto was everything except that! They have a fun, creative and modern look. We were very pleased by our photos! The mason jar theme all started with the invitations that we had a lot of fun doing! Guests were drinking from mason jars, the flowers and candles were also placed in mason jars and let’s not forget the wedding favors; strawberry jam prepared on a sunny Sunday at my parent’s cottage with a lot of love and dedication from our
friends and family!
We really took the time to personalize the ceremony and every details of this beautiful sunny day and everything was better than expected!
