Learn How To Get the Dewy, Fresh Faced Look Everyone is Talking About

Summer is a great time to play with your makeup routine and maybe give it a little kick in the booty. This dewy complected, bold lip combo is just the beauty booty kick you need. Keri Bette and Teal Minisofer of The Well Styled Life are showing the simple steps to get this fresh for Summer look. Check out the full tutorial shot by Genevieve Renee Photographie below!

This summer beauty look emphasizes a soft dewey skin, a peach sheen eye, soft cheek and a bold pink lip. With an emphasis on the dewey skin and bold lip, this look is perfect for a fresh, fun, feminine look.

Start by prepping the skin with moisturizer to keep the skin hydrated. Apply primer to the skin, I like Smashbox Photo Finish Primer. Apply your favourite foundation, on Gia we used MAC Studio Finish. Make any corrections to the skin using concealer under the eyes, around the nose and on any blemishes that may be causing any redness to the skin. Finish with a translucent powder.

Apply highlighter to create a dewey, fresh face. I started by using the Anastasia Cream Contour Kit. After blending the cream from the apples of the cheeks across the cheekbone, use the remaining product on sponge and apply to bridge of nose. Then apply Benefit High Beam with a brush, blending in an upwards motion along cheekbones. Do not apply shimmering highlight to any areas other than the apples of the cheek and cheekbones, it will give you a feverish look, as opposed to a glow. If you desire to apply highlight to the nose, forehead, lips or chin, make sure it is a matte product.

Using your favorite brow product, whether it be powder, pencil or pomade, draw a line along the bottom of the eyebrow, following the natural curve of the brow. I used Anastasia Dip Brow with an angle brush for optimal control of my lines. On the top of the brow, create a line from just in front of the arch of the eyebrow to the end of the brow. With your desired product, fill in the brow between these two lines. With the remainder of product on your brush, or light strokes of your pencil, create small featherlike strokes at the very start of the brow, sweeping your tool in an upwards, delicate fashion.

Create a gorgeous cheekbone with contouring below your highlighted cheekbone. Using the Anastasia Contour Powder Palette, I swiped a light brown contour right below the cheekbone with a powder brush. Blend the contour lines up towards the hairline to create a soft finish.

Brush a slight shimmer across the eyelids in a soft peachy pink. Keep the color below the crease of the eyelid, but using a blender eyeshadow brush, stroke the eyelid along the crease to blend the color.

Using a brown eyeliner, create a thin line from the inside corner of the eye to the outside corner. If you have trouble creating a clean line, use a clean angle brush and draw a line over the existing pencil line. This will smooth out the pencil line and give a nice crisp look.

Choose your bright, spring lip color, I used MAC for my fresh, airy look. Using a lip brush, start applying color at the center of the lip and slowly work towards the corners. Complete with a neutral, pink lip liner to create a soft edge to the lip.

Complete the look with a swipe of mascara. For weddings, my favorite is Maybeline Waterproof Mascara in Black, you shed those happy tears without worry.

Planned In Only Two Months, This Pretty Pink Wedding is Perfectly Sweet

Props to anyone who plans their big day in a matter of months, but those that pull of it off super stylishly too? Well I bow down in your honor – and that’s exactly what I’m doing with Justine Milton’s pics right here. This winter wedding is elegant, chic and oh so sweet, and considering it was planned in only two months, it’s even more impressive. Let our Vault motivate you right this way!

Golf Club

From Justine MiltonCindy and Johnny had two months to plan their wedding. With the vision in mind of a clean and elegant design showcasing hints of tradition, Cindy decided to go with a soft neutral colour palette of gold, blush and ivory. Wanting to expand on the theme of a winter wedding, Cindy went with ivory glitz linens that resembled the look of snow and alternated tables with a soft blush linen. On the wedding day, Cindy and Johnny got ready at one of the pinnacle downtown hotels and they were able to capture bridal party photos and special moments between the bride and groom among some of Calgary’s historic downtown architecture. The wedding day itself was filled of personal touches of reading aloud each other’s vows in their candle filled ceremony and having an intimate dinner and dancing with close friends and family.

See How this Rooftop Wedding Made Light Pink + Gray Modern

When I think of a light pink wedding, I think of something soft and feminine, not modern and cool. But with a rooftop venue like this, Jamie and Chris transformed the sweet pink, adding in hints of gray and a whole lot of style. And with the Bride’s not one, not two, but three wedding dresses (my dream!), this day is major #weddinggoals. See it all from Sarah Vaughan Photography in The Vault!

From The Bride…We had a beautiful ceremony surrounded by our closest friends and family on the rooftop at Ralph Klein Park (Education Center & man-made Wetland). The weather could not have been more perfect. The sky was clear and it was a hot mid summer day! The ceremony was followed by a traditional Chinese tea ceremony for our families. We also had an evening dinner reception and dance at Blue Devil Golf Club. Chris and I love the modern outdoor setting at Ralph Klein Park; and are both keen golfers which is why we chose Blue Devil Golf Club that backs onto one of the most beautiful public parks in Calgary, Fish Creek Park.

A modern wedding with grey and light dusty pink for wedding colors. We wanted our wedding to reflect our personal style and the soft colors were perfect for a beautiful summer day.

From Sarah Vaughan Photography…Jamie + Chris’ wedding had so much style. Jamie’s dress was a White Vera Wang dress that fit her perfectly. Chris’ blue suit and white bow tie had amazing style! And he even changed his shirt for the reception! Jamie wore a Chinese dress at the beginning of the reception. Then she changed back into her wedding dress. Then for the dance she wore a short reception dress.
