This tropical goodness from Catherine Hall Studios? It’s exactly what Monday morning deserves. From the fresh ivory palette that lets the island-y blue waters shine through to the wedding’s tiniest (and cutest!) guest, Bacon, the sweet frenchie in a bow tie, it’s impossible to leave this gallery without a grin from ear to ear. Happy Monday darlings!
From Catherine Hall Studios… Radiant and warm, hard-working and humble, devoted to succeeding in life as both professionals as well as a pair: Lisa and Ryan are nothing short of a power couple (An incredibly loveable power couple!) They have worked incredibly hard to support one another’s careers, while loving one another every step of the way. An inspiration among their family and friends, Lisa and Ryan are a singularly unique item.
In a way, it’s only fitting that they found one another on the job–yes, Lisa and Ryan met at work! She is now the Vice President of Commerical Real Estate Group for Deutsche Bank Securities, while he is fulfilling his entrepreneurial dreams as the Co-Founder of Sentry Centers. While one might expect an exotic, drama-packed locale as the spot where Ryan proposed to Lisa, their engagement was actually borne of a sweet domestic moment: Ryan asked for Lisa’s hand in marriage while they were in bed, in their own apartment.
They chose the spectacular Viceroy, Anguilla—a true paradise among the world’s most-beloved destination wedding locations. In this end, this helped simplify much of their wedding planning: with nature so beautiful and an immaculate hotel with an interior created by one of Lisa’s favorite designers, Kelly Wearstler, you don’t have to add-on much to make the moment any grander. All the most important elements for a striking, unforgettable event are already in place.
In conjunction with the talented Charnissa Richardson, the Viceroy Anguilla’s Wedding Coordinator, Lisa left the creative force up to her sister, Nancy. The sisters wanted clean simplicity to shape the day, accented by candles, candles, candles everywhere. Because, of course, everybody looks lovely by candlelight.
In addition to Nancy’s artistic direction for the decor, she also served one of the chief functions of any wedding: as the officiant. As neither Lisa nor Ryan are particularly religious, their chief goal was to honor their friends and family, and who better to oversee this incredibly special ceremony than Nancy, who has been a witness to and ambassador of Lisa’s and Ryan’s relationship since the very beginning.
Naturally, such a family affair required Bacon, Lisa’s & Ryan’s adorable dog (and faithful companion through thick and thin) to be their ring bearer. While Bacon found international air travel to Anguilla to be a tad unusual, he absolutely loved being the center of attention on the Big Day.
The wedding day all came together in the perfect details—like Lisa’s stunning Marchesa gown and Prada shoes, accented by glittering blue-candy mosaic emerald marquis drop earring with diamond chips; while Ryan totally charmed in his Michael Andrews Bespoke suit and Ferragamo shoes, completed by a Paul Stewart pocket square.
It goes without saying that the Viceroy Anguilla provided the ultimate experience, in terms of execution, planning, catering exceptional food and drinks (including a delicious Ginger Collins!) Best of all, their guests literally stayed up partying all night long, dancing their hearts out and celebrating love, courage, commitment and drive. All traits embodied by Lisa and Ryan, who are truly outstanding human beings who have worked hard to create a deep, meaningful life for themselves in the context of a wonderful community of loved ones.
