Ebb Restaurant Wedding

When it comes to weddings dripping in romance, you Australian lovelies really know how it’s done. Maybe that has a little something to do with the serious cuties tying the knot… or the breathtaking landscapes… or the fab vendors coming together to put on one heck of a party.  My guess?  A sweet combination of all of the above.  Soak in some Australian perfection captured by Matt Rowe Photography right here.  It’s time to get your pretty on.

From Matt Rowe Photography… Vikki and Bryan blended a calm ‘knowing’ with a whole lot of vibrance for their wedding day. Details in the decorations (twig and blossom) held a natural appreciation of beautiful things and Vikki’s bridesmaids packed a punch of colour in their floral dresses. As a photographer, I had so much fun with Vikki and Bryan on their location shoot; they were willing to give everything a go and just embraced the moment. One of my favourite moments was with the dandelion (wishes) where a little competitive spirit came out followed by laughter. When you leave the night feeling like you’ve been with friends, then you know it was a good one!

From the Bride… There are so many ‘best parts’ of my day. The whole day was a best part! But the one moment that sticks in my mind more than any is walking down the stairs at home and seeing my dad crying, watching me (it made me cry, too). We are very close, and it’s so nice to be daddy’s little girl one last time. This is probably the moment where it all started to really feel like my wedding day.

We didn’t purposely go out of our way to do anything different to other couples. We really wanted to be able to invite whoever we wanted and not be constrained by maximum guest numbers. We decided to have an afternoon at the church with the 200-something guests, followed by an intimate reception with 45 close family & friends.

I loved my dress!! I had seen it months before we even got engaged. When I put my dress on, it was very surreal. It had been a few weeks since I had last tried it on. It’s just such a beautiful dress, I couldn’t believe that I was wearing it!

I am so incredibly blessed to have all four of my grandparents around. It truly was a blessing to have so many family and friends around us celebrating our special day with us in all it’s delights.

Sunshine Coast Beach Elopement Inspiration from Little Owl Events + Ale & Kim Photography

Some shoots simply make my eyes happy. The way they are captured, the colors, the scenery, it’s all so pretty I can almost feel them smiling. Little Owl Events and sent us just such a shoot. One where every image from Ale & Kim Photography is oozing with prettiness, making this gallery one joyful place to be today. See it all here.

From Little Owl EventsSome of the finest Brisbane and Sunshine Coast wedding vendors came together to create a a relaxed, yet beautifully polished beach ceremony elopement inspiration shoot full of summer florals, turquoise hues and a fun couple in love.

The Sunshine Coast has some of Australia’s most beautiful beaches, popular with Bride’s from all over the country. We wanted to show these Bride’s what could be done for those wishing to escape the stresses of planning a full wedding. The elopement shoot showcases some of this season’s most popular colours, which work so well with the natural landscape of the beach.

Ale & Kim’s use of film photography really enhances the natural colours and lighting at the beach while still showcasing the deep, bold colours of the floral work by Willow Bud. Hair and Make-Up by The Beauty Case showcases the relaxed atmosphere of the shoot, while enhancing our model’s gorgeous skin and hair.

The shoot was brought to life with styling by the impeccable Simply Style Co. who managed to pull off the relaxed, yet polished vibe with a stunning canopy, church pews and a relaxed low table dining area.

The concept for this shoot was developed by both Little Owl Events, and Simply Style Co, who really wanted to showcase what is possible on the Sunshine Coast for those couples who prefer a more intimate wedding.

Vintage Inspiration from Bonnie Jenkins Photography

Photo shoots like this one make me so, so very happy.  You know the ones.  Those totally gorgeous, totally mesmerizing days of inspiration, all thought up and executed by a dream team of Australian vendors. And this one in particular has left me a bit speechless with a whole host of pretty from Tasleema NighGinger Lily & Rose, Honeycomb Hair Cafe, and One Print Wonders.  See it all in the full gallery captured by Bonnie Jenkins right here.

The intention behind this shoot was to allow some talented local vendors to express their creativity. Set in the beautiful forest of the Sunshine Coast’s hinterland, the model wears a 1940’s wedding dress and is surrounded by nature and pastels. The magnificent property in Eudlo on the Sunshine Coast’s hinterland was such a huge source of inspiration as was the gorgeous model, styling, stationery, florals, hair and make-up.
