One of my favorite aspects of blogging for SMP (besides, well, everything) is the opportunity to pour over gorgeous weddings from all across the world. I like to think of it as virtual vacations to the most incredible places imaginable. And today's destination adventure takes us to an ever-so-serene apple farm in South Africa. It's every bit as sweet as it sounds, and with just one look at the gallery of images...
"South Africa"
We have to admit, here at SMP we do love a good getting ready montage. Ok fine, we are downright weak in the knees at the sight of one. Especially when the room is a perfect pale blue that blends sublimely with the bridesmaids dresses like watercolors on a canvas. On top of that, nothing compares to playing dress up with your closest friends before you walk down the aisle to marry the love of your life. In honor of this, I had to showcase these sweet-as-pie moments from...
First off, I just have to tell you that reading the bride's description of her day is sort of like reading a fabulous love poem because it reminds you of why you're getting married and what's really important. Not only is this gorgeous bride a wordsmith, she's also one heck of a DIYer and with help of her loved ones, created a unique and spectacular day. dna photographers snapped up all the pretty details and love and you can ...
When it comes to weddings, we love 'em big or small, but there is something about a sweet soiree that makes you want to wiggle out of your shoes before the dancing starts. They are often a bit more sweetly simple, yet stunning nonetheless, and always put a smile on our faces. Especially when the wedding is captured in a bundle of amazing images - which DNA Photographers always produces.
While our summer, and by extension our Wedding Season, is cooling off in the coming weeks, the entire other half of the globe's is warming up. So this Cape Town engagement session from dna photographers seemed the perfect way to send you off into your August weekend. After the week of gorgeous soiree after stunning affair we've had here on the LBB Blog, a finale like this is fully deserved. Have a wonderful weekend my LBBers! xoxo...
As wedding bloggers, we have a reputation of falling in love with a dress, ooh-ing and aah-ing over a bouquet, and swooning at a beautiful table. But we more often than not, we also fall head over heels for a couple. For a groom so handsome and sweet, for a French bride in Cape Town with an honest and open heart. It was no surprise that Wedding Concepts was able to create such a beautiful and personal wedding for this couple after...
There are a million and one things I could fawn over in this wedding captured stunningly by dna photographers, but that dress, oh that dress, has grabbed a hold of my heart and won't let go. That vintage-inspired, heart-stealing frock by Francois Vedemme (complete with handmade corset) is just be-yond - and it's the perfect fit for this beyond perfect wedding.
I've never been (but have no fear, it's been on my Must Travel list for ages) but I'm here to say South Africa must absolutely be FUN. Every wedding I see from the Rainbow Nation has the most perfect touch of whimsy to balance the crazy in love romance, and this one is no exception. We've fallen for the rainbow of bridesmaids, the fab florals, and the fantastic relaxed ballroom setting, all captured brilliantly by dna photographers.
We plan on jumping feet first into all the real wedding pretty after the long, holiday weekend, and if there was ever a wedding to help us all ease back into some serious wedding goodness - it's this stylish South African soiree by dna photographers. It has everything. Everything that makes this wedding blogger squeal - from a gown handmade by the bride's sister-in-law to the beautiful countryside the serves as the prettiest of backdrops...
This bride is what it's all about. She's happy, she's spunky, her soulful style literally jumps right off the screen. And she's adorable. The kind of bride that I not only want to gush over, but that I wish lived closer to so we could be very best friends. She even sewed her own freaking gown. I know. I love her too. Anyway, this wedding is just about as good as it gets and with photography by Blue Bottle, well...it's hopeless.
