A Timeless Neutral Nursery

If ever there were a nursery destined for greatness, it would be this little spot. It’s a calming baby oasis filled with cozy rugs and fluffy stuffed animals, crafted by parents to be, Steve and Jamie of Sinclair & Moore Events. These two produce the most beautiful events but this labor of love takes the cake. Have a look at a room thoughtfully curated for baby Grey with images by Matthew Land Studios and more here.

Steve and Jamie Moore’s nursery project for their baby grey. I stopped in a few times to catch up and document the progress of their nursery! It turned out amazing.

“I was advised by multiple people not to invest the time or money into a nursery, because our baby would never know the difference. Three months into being a father, I can honestly say I’m so glad I ignored the opinions of those people, and I am so thankful we created a space that is just for our baby. Putting Grey’s nursery together was one of my ways of bonding with our baby before he was born… preparing his room helped me to prepare my heart. As I painted the walls and hung the drapes I wondered about our child growing within Jamie, day dreamed about who our child would become, and prayed I would be the kind of father our little one deserved. Before Grey ever entered the world, this room was waiting for him and it was filled with hope, peace, purpose and love.

Our nursery is one of our favorite rooms in our home. The sun streaming in makes the room light and airy, and it just feels like an oasis from the busy world where we can watch Grey roll on the floor, read to him, change those dirty diapers and once he is just a bit older, this room is where we will lay him down to sleep.

Jamie and I worked together on every detail of this room, and had so much fun spending the last part of her pregnancy collaborating together on making it special. Here is a little glimpse into the world we created for Grey.” – Steve Moore

DIY Throw Pillow Cover

Sometimes we all get the urge to change things up at home. But you can’t redecorate at the drop of a hat. Luckily, there are quick and easy ways to upgrade your home that make a big and very stylish impact! Recovering your throw pillows falls squarely into this category. Take a peek at the video below to learn how to make you’re own throw pillow covers in no time at all!

  • Fabric
  • Sewing pins
  • Iron
  • Sewing machine
  • Scissors
  • Yard stick

Measure your piece of fabric so that it is the exact width of your pillow insert, and double + 12″ the length of the pillow. Use pins to mark the measurements, and cut.

On the short sides of your fabric, fold over each edge and press with the iron to keep in place.

Making sure the printed side of your fabric is face up, pverla the ends by folding them over each other. Once folded, your fabric should be the exact width of your pillow.

Pin the seams together, and carefully sew both edges.

Remove the pins from your seams, and clip the corners. Turn the completed pillow right side out, making sure to pull the corners fully out.

Stuff your pillow through the flap and enjoy!
