If you've ever dreamed of throwing a destination birthday, this Tulum inspired party is next best thing. And it's totally attainable. Pick your dream locale and infuse that into your very own backyard just like Tamara of Champagne + Macaroons. She threw a pineapple cocktail and taco boho party reminiscent of the beaches of Mexico. Psst... get inspired with even more imagery by Kate Becker in the VAULT.
Imagine sitting in your backyard on an 80-degree day in April surrounded by 10 of your closest girlfriends for an afternoon filled with beauty and giving back to the ones who have given you so much - the gift of friendship.
I woke up one morning and said out loud I am going to host my own birthday party and make it all about my girlfriends and an afternoon of being together. When I reached out to Kelly from Maven Styling she said she was in, and loved everything about it. So we were off to plan and dream together.
Our vision was to create a backyard haven filled with reminders of Mexico and subtle touches of the ocean and plant life which couldn't have come together more perfectly!
The team along with fabulous weather made for a breathtaking afternoon. From the invitations to the menu card every detail went off without a hitch and the vendors involved made this birthday girl feel more than celebrated.
Food was out of this world with a local vendor who is near and dear to me, Local Crate provided a beautiful & tasty Mexican themed menu for family style sharing under string lights and a low lying rustic table setting.
Complete with pillows, rugs, decor and fur babies. The day quickly turned into the night and we spent the entire day talking, laughing and enjoying good food & good friends.
Kate our photographer could not have captured this day more beautifully, I will cherish the gift of these images forever.
