Finding the right blush paint color that isn't too pink and saturated or too mute and beige is like finding the golden egg. Thanks to Chloe Minyon, of English Tea Paperie and her gorgeous home office, we've hunted it down. The color is Barely Blush by Glidden (you're welcome) and it's about as perfect as can be blushing up the walls of this stationery studio. Tour the full pink space captured by Shalese Danielle, with even more in the VAULT.
My name is Chloe Minyon, and I own English Tea Paperie. I design bespoke stationery and invitations for brides all over the world from my home office in Midlothian, Virginia.
When it came to decorating my graphic design office, I wanted a warm, welcoming space for clients to sit and chat about all things paper over tea and gorgeous, custom cookies. I also wanted my office to be an elegant, inspiring place for me to work and create dreamy designs for clients and friends.
My walls are covered with simple reminders of why I love doing what I do. From my favorite invitation suites to inspirational watercolor quotes, my young daughters floral artwork, to boards full of thank you cards; I wanted to find inspiration wherever I looked.
Keeping graphic design and my love for all things pretty in my mind, I sourced a classic oversized ampersand in gold wood from Hobby Lobby. At Home Goods, I found the perfect blush and gold tone folders, notebooks and files to store all of my important paperwork with style.
Around the office, you'll see little chotskies from locally owned trinket stores from my travels. I also display carefully curated gift wrap designs from Target and Home Goods in a basket next to my coffee table, which displays daily inspiration from Southern Weddings, Cottage Hill and Kate Spade.
At all times, you can find pink bottles of my favorite drink, English rose and elderflower lemonade from Belvoir Fruit Farms, on the shelves. When meeting with clients, I’ll pour warm rose or lavender tea in my Victoria & Albert Museum and Royal Windsor teacup collections, or celebrate with pink champagne in classic Kate Spade flutes.
For this shoot in particular, I brought in a comfy, classic white sofa from Paisley & Jade, along with the most stunning fluffy florals from One Sweet Day in May. My mum even came all the way from England to help me paint the walls the perfect blush pink and make sure my office would remind me of my home, Kent, England. In all of my designs and branding, I strive to incorporate that ethereal romance that only England can offer!
