When it comes to decorating for the holidays I tend to fall on the Clark Griswold side of things meaning there’s not an inch of space not twinkling with christmas lights and our tree is probably harboring a squirrel or two within its 8′ span. But that doesn’t mean simple can’t be gorgeous. M. K. Sadler and Kelly Lenard are showing you easy, elegant touches to add to your decorating repertoire. See more here.
With the holidays just around the corner we are so ready for sweet family time, cooler weather, and hot cocoa; however, parts of the holidays can be overwhelming. We’ve put together some simple decor ideas to bring in the cheer without the hassle.
Basket | It’s the time of year to pull out your extra blankets and shawls. This basket with a festive branch wrap around is a simple way to add holiday charm while keeping your cozy favorites in reach. To make, just use floral wire to secure winter foliage around the basket. For our look we chose cotoneaster branch. (Basket from Marshall’s, blanket from Ikea)
Hanging Florals | Sometimes you don’t have the space or the need for a large arrangement, but using a hanging candle holder is a good way to add florals without hurting the budget. This small arrangement is made up of white ranunculus, cotoneaster, and silver tree. (Hook from Anthropologie, candle holder thrifted)
Adorn your entryway with ribbons and greens by utilizing your key hooks. We used Frou Frou Chic and tied sprigs of cotoneaster to the ribbon ends . (Key hooks from Target)
Cocktail | Holiday beverages don’t always have to be warm. This chilled hard apple cider with a splash of spiced whisky and cinnamon is a great addition to an evening holiday party. Dress up your drink display with leftover greens and candles.
