This West Village apartment designed by Casey DeBois of Homepolish, is a prime example of rockin' roll vintage glam. Throw in a bit of gold, a punch of color and a marble fireplace, and you have one ridiculously chic apartment. Not only that but an apartment with a major cool factor that will have you mixing up a cocktail, and kicking up your feet. Check out all the fab details in the gallery.
Rumor has it that Alexis’s West Village apartment is haunted by the ghosts of The Rolling Stones’ youth. If they are here, they’re definitely happy lounging around this beautiful, sunny, decadently decorated one-bedroom.
Alexis isn’t a professional rockstar but she does have impeccable taste, and when partnered with Homepolish designer Casey DeBois, the two went to town (though without painting it black). Melding her Miami roots with her NYC life, Alexis wanted the space to feel glam and artistic.
Things to note: the Brass Étagère Shelving Unit decorated with fashion tomes and tchotchkes; the bar cart accessorized with vintage ice bucket, serving tray, libbey cocktail glasses and retro swizzle sticks; and Alexis’s amazing contemporary art collection.
Keeping a great mix of collectors items and vendor finds, the apartment quickly evolved from nothing-but-a-bed to a fun and ultra chic space. Everything added by Casey worked perfectly with the original parlor details. Floral crown molding! Marble fireplaces! Not hard to imagine Mick Jagger lounging on the couch, now is it?
