If you're still on the fence about this whole fall thing, I may have just the thing to get you in the mood. I secretly wish this post came with a smell-o-gram because I have a feeling it would smell like apple cider donuts and cinnamon spice. With Goldfinch Events & Design and Jeremiah and Rachel Photography behind the scenes, one peek through the gallery is all you'll need to be in a full blown autumnal state of mind!

From Goldfinch Events & Design ... We had this idea to say goodbye to summer, and usher in fall. Showing folks a beautiful farm to table meal and table setting, straight from a local garden. We almost had to cancel due to rain, but it cleared up in the afternoon, giving us a perfect autunm evening in Montana.

The fall weather having given us a slight reprieve from the cold and rain we made our way to the garden, the sun pearled through the clouds warming the garden where we found peppers, pumpkins, cabbage, and carrots. Still we dressed warmly, scarfs, and boots with fuzzy socks. We worked quickly, still taking moments to enjoy the smells and quite simplistic joy of working in this beautiful place.

As the sun slowly set across the horizon, we made the table up, enjoying the cool fall evening under a apple tree. We finished taking pictures, and sat down to enjoy our work. We passed a loaf of bread around, spreading fresh local honey on it. We savored the taste of wine, and a night spent with friends, eating, drinking, and laughing around a table under the beautiful big sky of Montana.

We finished up, and someone made a remark about bears, which speeded up the process of breaking down. Once back at the house, we enjoyed warm coffee out of thermos and warmed ourselves by the fire. Summer was leaving, and though we are sad to see it go, fall was here, and we are going to enjoy it.
