It’s no secret we love a perfectly themed party, and there’s been lot of them over the years. But an ice cream social? Perhaps it’s my sweet tooth talking, but it may just be the cream of the crop! Complete with a mini milkshake bar, make your own sundaes, a banana split cake and then some. We love that it can be enjoyed by kids and adults alike (and you knowww we’ll be sharing all the details so stay tuned)!

TIPS FOR YOUR OWN ICE CREAM SOCIAL

A MINI MILKSHAKE BAR | Tiny glasses make it easy to sample multiple flavors. Even better? Spike the adult milkshakes with a coffee, hazelnut, or amaretto liqueur!

COTTON CANDY WAFFLE CONES | Everything you love about cotton candy, with a crispy waffle cone finish.

BRIGHT PUNCHY DECOR | Stick to shimmering whites and summery yellows, corals, and mints- then drop in a bit of gold to accent the look. We started with a white sequin table linen to give the party a little something special. With treats this colorful, we didn’t want to overload the look so the serveware was kept to sleek, modern clear or white containers. Our preppy striped backdrop punched up the color in a clean, crisp way.

MAKE YOUR OWN SUNDAE BAR | Customized treats have to be the staple of any ice cream party. In this case, too many topping options are a good thing!

HAVE YOUR CAKE AND EAT IT TOO | The piece de la resistance of this party is the showstopping banana-split cake topped with a mountain of ice cream. It’s a kid’s (or grownup’s) dream come true!
