What happens when a stylist and designer has a whole new room to decorate in the house? Pure nursery magic, of course! Ann-Marie dreamed up a bright, happy space for her daughter-to-be filled with colorful DIYs and fabulous thrift finds, and the results couldn’t be prettier. Even more photos of Ann-Marie’s radiant glow and darling nursery details from Sorella Muse Photography in the gallery!
From Sorella Muse Photography: Ann-Marie is a freelance designer, crafter, and stylist based in Pasadena who runs the charming blog Ann-Marie Loves. She and her husband John are expecting their first child, a little girl, this July! With her passion for great design, flea markets, and thrifting, it’s no surprise that the nursery is filled with thoughtful vintage furniture and decor that’s rounded out by pieces from every modern girl’s go-to stores: Anthropologie, Target, and Ikea. And as a DIY maven, there had to be some handmade projects to fill the space with love, like the pretty woven wall hanging.
After taking some of Ann-Marie’s maternity portraits at the lovely home she shares with her husband John, we set out to walk around their neighborhood, down Green Street and then to the Pasadena City Hall at sunset. Ann-Marie and John are high school sweethearts who have been together for nearly 10 years, and it’s easy to see the love, stability, and ease between them, and how ready and joyful they are to become parents!
