I dare you not to fall in love at first sight with this delightful baby shower from Petals of Love & Courtney Yee! The soft mint and peach colors, the shower of golden dots, the lush florals… it’s everything an expecting mother could ask for! And if welcoming a little one isn’t on your agenda this year, just think how pretty this would be for a birthday or bridal shower. I know my planning wheels are turning!
From Herras Creative: Lynna was expecting her first baby and friends and family were eager to celebrate a new little girl. I wanted to create a baby shower experience that matched Lynna’s personality: happy, fun, and sophisticated.
Lynna wanted her guests to be relaxed and comfortable. Her childhood home proved to be the perfect venue for the festivities. The large white Victorian home served as the backdrop as guests feasted on grilled steak, chicken and roasted veggies. Sparkling pink lemonade was sipped through striped straws and delicious homemade desserts (made by Lynna’s Auntie Ellen) were enjoyed by all.
We placed tiny golden giraffes (her favorite animal) as accents to floral arrangements throughout the home. We added them to table place cards for a sweet touch of metallic whimsy. These finishing touches matched the invitations designed by Herras Creative.
The stately gold chandeliers in the living and dining areas inspired us to create an illusion of party confetti in mid-air. We hung transparent fishing line from the ceiling and attached small golden paper discs down the line. The effect was truly majestic and proved to be a popular spot for group photos.
When Lynna first saw her baby shower she instantly cried at the beauty of the flowers and decor. The bright natural light, delicious food, beautiful flowers and loving family and friends made this day magical!
