Though it’s been said that most 1st birthdays are ultimately for the parents, if there were ever one designed perfectly for a tiny man, this would be it. Styled by the lovely Bough&Annex, with modern graphics from Peter & Kristina, this is one first birthday I’m secretly sad to have missed. In addition to this adorable, there’s a whole gallery overflowing with curly haired one year olds from Matthew Levi that mustn’t be missed.
From Jack’s Parents… The theme for our son’s Jack’s 1st birthday party is based off of a great print that we love, created by a close friend of our family. The “It’s All Good Bear” hung in our first home and reminds us of good times and great friends.
We knew we wanted Jack’s birthday to be a celebration of his first year and also of all of the wonderful people that are a part of his life. Many of the elements were designed and created by our friends.
Jack is our curious little bear, that’s gone such a long way, made so many wonderful friends and has many more adventures ahead of him!
Decorate a Birdhouse station: Each child could take home a birdhouse they decorated with the wood markers, geometric stickers and foam animals we provided. The kids got super creative, it was really impressive!
“A Little Bear Goes a Long Way” Coloring Book and Geometric crayons: Our friend who did the graphics for the party, surprised us by creating a sweet coloring book all about a little bear going a long way to match the theme of the party. Little guests took home coloring books and geometric crayons in “Jack is 1″ Muslin bags to color at home.
Take a Photo, Leave Some Love: I ordered a rustic, leather bound journal. We set up a photobooth, with hand cut and stamped garland attached to a stick (easy DIY!), and had our photographer take polaroid photos of each family in DIY woodland masks. Then each family secured their photos with geometric washi tape and wrote a note to Jack in metallic sharpies. Such a great way to remember the day!
“Jack is 1″ Cake Topper: Designed by our friend and cut by ChicagoFactory on Etsy, the topper matched the callout on the invite, exactly! Such a fun touch.
“Jack” Nail Art: this was a gift to us from our designer. It hung over the pictures of Jack as he grew and we plan to keep it and hang it in Jack’s bedroom
