Okay, I’ll admit it- I totally dropped the ball on my first wedding anniversary. Is it possible to still be tuckered out from wedding planning a year after the fact? This year, I’m determined to make up for it- and when this beautiful, summery anniversary dinner party arrived in our inbox I knew I found my inspiration! Be sure to check out all the pretty details captured by Cheryl McEwan in the gallery.

From Carol-Anne:
My husband and I live in Toronto, Canada but have family living in Cape Town, South Africa that were unable to attend our destination wedding in the Turks & Caicos. We therefore decided to host a luncheon in the picturesque Cape vineyards to celebrate our one year wedding anniversary with our family in South Africa. Our lunch was held under an old oak tree at La Petite Dauphine in Franschhoek. It was a hot summers day so we wanted to keep the table light with pastel colors that blended in with the natural outdoor surroundings. Leipzig Wedding and Function Design assisted with the beautiful floral arrangements. We served ice cold lemonade to cool guests down as they arrived. The menu included items such as chilled almond soup with minted cucumber and locally caught snoek fish cake. Dessert was a selection of the wine farm’s famous cakes and local cheese and fruit plates. It really was a lovely relaxed afternoon that was thoroughly enjoyed by all.
