We’ve had some really fun party themes on SMP Living – like this Sprinkles Party and Kate Spade Picnic and the Neon Fete!? – but this one is one of my faves. Because it combines two of the best things ever…makeup and champs. Plus, it can totally be a “just because” get together, rather than holding out for a special occasion. Thanks to Jennie Kay and Erin McGinn for giving us the excuse!
From the girls at Jennie Kay…Our concept of the makeup party came from wanting to create a grown-up girly girls night; a way to get together with your best friends, get pretty and play with makeup, eat delicious snacks, and sip drinks.
The guests were educated by professional makeup artist Jennie Kay, on helpful makeup application and product tips that you can’t learn from just anyone.
Our color palette came from a desire to create a whimsical feel to the room; smoky purples, silvers, clean and cloudy whites – a bit dreamy. We also chose colors that are not overdone. A tulle fluffed table skirt adorned themakeup table, glitter & sparkles accented table decor.
The Newport Party Loft provided us with a blank slate – allowing us to create this magical and dreamy feel; high gloss white furniture, clear Lucite ghost chairs, and wide open space were the perfect location.
